I would imagine there's a radio edit for this.

This needs to go for Alt adds ASAP. I'd like to see it go for alt adds too (it's my second-favorite on the record) but even editing out all those instrumental sections it doesn't seem like the most alt-friendly choice - "Burning" sounds better suited for radio, I'd say.

"Red Eyes" didn't do much for me, but this is really good. It's like a long lost 80s track.

I'm not sure if it'll be easy to make a shortened version for radio. After hearing "Red Eyes" and this, they sound almost like a Bruce Springsteen ripoff band. I don't mind them, but I see the 80s comparisons completely. Maybe I'll introduce this band my "Everything that you listen to sucks" dad.

I bought this album on vinyl. How 80s can you get.
"Red Eyes" was the obvious single choice, but nothing else here is really that radio friendly. The title track is the only non-instrumental song to not cross 5:30. "An Ocean in Between the Waves", "Suffering" and "In Reverse" were the album's best after this, but neither of them are suitable for radio.

They should consider cutting out that outro if they want a radio edit

This album was easily the best rock album of last year. Has the perfect mesh of 1970's guitar work with 1980's sampling and synth effects. This should have won best album at the Grammy's IMO, but they're too unknown right now to receive such acknowledgement.

They didn't even nominate them for best Alt album, but fucking Alt-J and Cage the Elephant can?

Lots of critical darlings get snubbed by the Grammys on a regular basis in favor of more established/commercial acts so no surprise there. This year St. Vincent was lucky enough to get nominated and win.
While we're at it let us not forget 98% of rock bands who had great albums last year, who all got snubbed for Best Rock Performance at the last Grammys in favor of a live version of "Kashmir" recorded in 2007.

They should consider cutting out that outro if they want a radio edit There actually is a radio edit out (you can head over to the Triple A Cool New Music section on All Access to listen to it). Gets all the essential vocal sections in, I guess, but idk - it sounds like in the process of pushing the vocals farther up into the mix, a lot of the overall atmosphere of the song provided by the sonics/instrumentation (including the sections which were minimized or cut altogether for the edit) was sacrificed. Think I'll stick with the full album version.

This is an awesome song!!! but it's soooooo long. For my Live365 stream, I chopped off the first :30 & started it when the drums kick in & then faded it at about 5:30 when the lyrics end. I hate the idea of radio edits but with this song there was no other option. I will, however, NEVER splice up the middle of a song - that's just sacrilege to me.

This is definitely 80s like. I got a "Boys of Summer" Don Henley vibe from it.

Because the internet is a great facilitator of A.D.D., this comment got me curious about that Grammy category's history. One trip to Wikipedia later and three things stood out at me: 1) A version of "Kashmir" by Robert Plant and Jimmy Page was also nominated in 1996 in the category, making it twice that that song elbowed aside a more contemporary record. 2) Up until 1993, apparently albums and individual tracks could be nominated in the same category. Most bizarrely, in 1990 U2 were nominated in the category for both Rattle and Hum and "When Love Comes to Town," which was featured on that album. 3) In 1993, En Vogue was nominated for "Free Your Mind." I actually think that's really cool because I think it's a great song, but this gives them the distinction of being the only all-female group ever nominated in the category.

Nice. I don't hear too much difference between this 80s vibe and say Echosmith "Come Together" 80s vibe, except maybe the Vocal delivery, which really stands out. IMOP; It needs to be shortened down to get more radio acceptance. Gone are the days when listeners would sit through songs that ran the legnths of "Stairway To Heaven" or "Aqualung"
