I can finally finish this set!
739. "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" - The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band: Oh, I really like this one. I know it because of "Daddy Sang Bass", which was often played when I was younger. Also, the artist name is... interesting. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Great choice. *added to playlist*
738. "Heaven Knows" - Donna Summer: I love Donna Summer, but I've never heard this one. I've been meaning to check more of her discography out. This one may not be my favorite from her, but it is really good nonetheless. It's always nice to hear new things from artists I enjoy. *added to playlist*
737. "Psychotic Reaction" - Click Five: Wow. I really, really like this one. The instrumentation is perfect. The whole song is just fun. I've found many gems on this list so far (and I fully expect there will be PLENTY more), but this is among my favorites. *added to playlist*
736. "Nobody Does It Better" - Carly Simon: I only know "You're So Vain" from her, so it is nice to get the chance to hear more. This is nice, albeit a little on the slower side. Perhaps I should look into her discography more. *added to playlist*
735. "Paying the Cost to Be the Boss" - B.B. King: I really like the upbeat nature of this one. The guitar is great. His vocals are really good, too. *added to playlist*
734. "Passionate Kisses" - Mary Chapin Carpenter: I feel like I've heard this one before, but I'm not sure. Oh, apparently she is a country artist. That makes a lot more sense lol. Regardless, I enjoy it. I really like female country singers, so it is really nice to hear something new. *added to playlist*
733. "Woman From Tokyo" - Deep Purple: The guitar at the beginning is really nice. The vocals are nice as well. I don't have much to say about this one, but I like it. *added to playlist*
732. "She Comes in Colors" - Love: This one starts slow, but it really picks up. I enjoy it from there. It isn't an instant love, but it might grow on me. It'll still make for great busy listening. *added to playlist*
731. "Kool Thing" - Sonic Youth: This is a nice change of pace from the past two songs, which I liked but were on the dull side. I like this one. It's nice to hear something a little more recent (if you can call it that, lol) every once in a while. The instrumental is really great. *added to playlist*
730. "Lost Cause" - Beck: I know of Beck, but I've never heard anything by him. It is nice to finally change that. I really like how mellow this one is. His vocals are great. This doesn't sound like a 2002 song at all. It sounds almost older, which gives it a nice quality. This is one of my favorites so far. *added to playlist*
729. "Send in the Clowns" - Judy Collins: Her voice is beautiful. Combined with the softer instrumentals, it makes for a really great listen. Another one of my favorites so far, I'll have to look more into her discography. Perfect choice. *added to playlist*
728. "Palisades Park" - Freddy Cannon: I love the sound of this one, lol. It's fun, it has a nice throwback vibe to it, and it seems perfect for summer. Clearly a good choice. *added to playlist*
727. "I Can't Wait" - Nu Shooz: Oh, I think I know this one! I didn't realize that I knew it, but that instrumental is oddly familiar. Anyways, I really like it. It is a nice 80s dance song, and I'm glad it is here. Nice choice. *added to playlist*
726. "Gangsta's Paradise" - Coolio ft. L.V.: Ah, the number one song of my birth year. <3 I really, really like this one. Coolio is an interesting character. I really appreciate the inclusion of this rap classic. *already in playlist*
725. "Just Can't Get Enough" - Depeche Mode: Yet another one I didn't realize I already knew. I've heard good things about Depeche Mode, so I was thinking about checking their discography out one day. However, it is nice to know that I knew something of theirs lol. Nice choice. *added to playlist*
724. "Jazzman" - Carole King: This one is nice. I really like the sax in it, which fits the theme well. This is a relaxing listen. *added to playlist*
723. "What is Truth" - Johnny Cash: Johnny Cash. <3 Another childhood staple, "I Walk the Line", "Ring of Fire", "Daddy Sang Bass", "A Boy Named Sue", and "Folsom Prison Blue" were played so much when I was younger. My favorite Johnny Cash song would have to be "Hurt" though. So emotional, so poignant, so good. I've never heard this one, though, but I thoroughly enjoy it. *added to playlist*
722. "Rock & Roll Woman" - Buffalo Springfield: I like the vocals on this one. Another song I think would be good for busy listening. *added to playlist*
721. "Bad Reputation" - Joan Jett: <3 I love this song, and Joan in general. This is kind of cheesy, but it is still really good. Excellent choice. *already in playlist*
720. "Down on the Corner" - Creedence Clearwater Revival: Creedence Clearwater Revival. <3 I didn't realize I knew this one, but I do. A lot of their songs tend to surprise me that way. They were always played in my childhood, I guess. This was recently in a commercial too, so it is pretty fresh. Anyways, I really love their vocals and just this sound in general. *added to playlist*
719. "Kisses Sweeter Than Wine"- Jimmie Rodgers: Oh, he sang "Honeycomb". It is nice to hear something else by him. I like this one better than "Honeycomb", so I'm glad it is higher. I like the story telling of this one. *added to playlist*
718. "I Want to See the Bright Lights Tonight" - Richard & Linda Thompson: I've never heard of them. This is really nice, however. I like her vocals. I'll have to listen to more from her. I read that this album was ignored, which is a shame. I am glad it has received recognition in recent years, including on your list. Excellent choice. *added to playlist*
717. "Jockey Full of Bourbon" - Tom Waits: Oh, this is a weird one. That isn't a bad thing, though. The vocals on this are definitely memorable. I like the almost tropical sounding instrumentals, too. *added to playlist*
716. "Something in Red" - Lorrie Morgan: Another childhood staple. It is one of my mom's all time favorite songs. I really enjoy it, too. Your commentary was spot on, and it perfectly conveyed why this is so good. Her voice is beautiful. *already in playlist*
715. "Saginaw, Michigan" - Lefty Frizzell: An older country song I haven't heard! I like this one. I especially like the story of it. Lmao at the dad getting tricked into to believing that there was gold. *added to playlist*
714. "Catch Us If You Can" - The Dave Clark Five: Oh, this one is really nice. Their voices work together well. It is just a fun song. It is unfortunate that I can't add it to my Spotify playlist, however. It just isn't there.
713. "Oh, What a Dream" - Ruth Brown: Her voice is fantastic. It just makes the song for me. This is kind of sad, though. It is sad that she dreams of their wedding but it doesn't happen. She conveys the emotion well. *added to playlist*
712. "So Emotional" - Whitney Houston: And I thought this list couldn't get any more flawless! Whitney is one of my all time favorites (Rest in peace. :'(), and this is one of my favorites by her. It is also one of my favorite songs of the 80's, and a staple when I was growing up. I'm so glad this is here. <3 *already in playlist*
711. "White Winter Hymnal" - Fleet Foxes: This one is really nice. I really like the mellow vibe of it, how fresh it sounds, and the vocals. This is one of my favorites so far. *added to playlist*
710. "Jump in the Line" - Harry Belafonte: I know this one! I really like it. It is fun, lol. It just sounds like a perfect party song. *added to playlist*
709. "Cliffs of Dover" - Eric Johnson: Another instrumental song! I like how this instrumental is so different from the other ones you've included. The guitar is great. Nice choice.
*added to playlist*
708. "Kiss an Angel Good Mornin'" - Charley Pride: I couldn't stand this one as a kid, lol. Dad played it ALL the time. However, my impression of it now is favorable. His voice is really nice. Looking back, I don't really know why I hated this so much. Maybe I just associated it with boring trips. Lol. Good choice. *added to playlist*
