This is a good r&b album. A step up from her last one.

She has ZERO reviews on Meteoritic for any of her albums? Does no one care?!

SO disappointed Im not liking this album. I was dead sure it would be an instant record for me Me too. I thought I'd like it a lot more than L&W, but no. I agree with previous comments in that all these mid-tempoy ballads, one after the other, bring the album down big time. Pretty much all of them sound alike too. I think I'll be keeping about 5 songs.

I agree with the previous posts, there are just too many songs with the same tempo in a row. And I don't mind slow jams or snoozy albums, hell, Lana Del Rey's latest is one big nap, but I love it. But these songs just aren't holding my attention. Very pleasant background noise and she at least sounds great vocally. The production is just lacking the details and dynamism to overcome the pace. And she doesn't bring the lyrical or personality quirks to her music that K. Michelle does to take her music up to that next level. Which is strange, because Tamar is batsh*t crazy 24/7, but musically she is clearly a traditionalist. Which I appreciate, she just needs to expand her sonic palette.
What the hell am I saying again? Basically 1/3rd of this album is a bore. But I'll use 2/3rds of it. And I like it more than her debut.

The only songs I don't like so far are "Raise The Bar," "Love It," "Free Fallin'" and the bonus tracks.
Love how she uses her voice on "Makin' Love"

Free Fallin' has basically stayed on repeat. I love all the R&B.

"Makin' Love" is actually my favorite song on the album I think. I'm a sucker for those seductive jams with the throwback production.
And, again agree with the comments praising her as a vocalist; homegirl is KILLING it on this album. "King," "If I Don't Have You," "Free Fallin'" = vocals for days.

So I'm glad Tamar cleared about the exclusive situation a bit but I still can't believe Walmart, Best Buy or Target do not have ANY of this information on their websites????! Like why? Guess I will be driving all over town tomorrow to see the exclusives at each individual store. **EDIT** @songwritertc just confirmed on Twitter Walmart's bonus tracks are "ASAP" & "Let Me Know" featuring Future. He is the producer/songwriter on Tamar's album if you didn't know. Thanks for the headsup. Guess I'll be getting it at Walmart!

I bought the Best Buy version and the two bonus tracks are the same ones on the other deluxe versions. I would have just ordered it from Wal-Mart had I known that.

I can't believe I'm about to walk into a Wal-Mart for this woman. She is really testing me this go round.

I think Tamar was mistaken again about the bonus situation for this album.
For L&W she said to expect FOUR different bonus tracks... we got all of ONE. Harvey Mason Jr. was also under the impression that "Me" was gonna be a bonus for L&W, and that never made the cut.
Now for this album she said there are bonus tracks at Target, Best Buy, iTunes and Wal-Mart... when in all actuality only Walmart has the bonus tracks.

I purchased the standard after hearing the clips of the bonus tracks and deciding they weren't really for me. First time Tamar is getting any of my coin. Actually, she did for the Love and War single because I adore that song. Still do. Looking forward to listening!

I'm gonna get the Deluxe Version from Walmart tonight after work because I do really like Coming Home and I wanna hear ASAP. I'm so in love with Free Fallin' and Catfish at the moment, that second verse and all after it on Free Fallin'....just...smh. So good. Are her notes on Free Fallin' and Raise The Bar whisle register? I didn't think so, it's high though.

I'm done after Simple Things. That is one of the most perfect vocal performances I have heard on record in a LONG time. Only Mariah can make me that instantly amazed.

I would say this is a pretty decent r&b album. Simple Things is my instant fave. That one actually got saved.

Only songs I don't care about are Broken Record and Never and they aren't even bad, especially Never. Broken Record is just...unmemorable. i give this album an A-/B+ but A for vocals.
I know things were rushed but omitting the sample details for Catfish might come back to bite her and Lord knows she can't afford a lawsuit.

Of course, the 2 ratchet Walmarts that I went to didn't even have the deluxe edition, and one of them only had one copy of the regular edition. If I didn't like Tamar and this album so much I would just say eff it! I will, however, be in the area of two or three other Walmarts tomorrow. So we'll see...smh.

HITS is saying this wont even break 50k Thats what you get for not promoting your music. And well after listening to the album I will say the numbers are really on par with what she delivered musically

I hope she'll at least do some promotion in the upcoming weeks to keep it somewhat stable on the charts.

They let two top 10 records at urban AC go to waste by waiting so long to release the album. The "Love and War" album and her comeback in general was extraordinary, so I knew that this album wouldn't do what that one did. But I definitely didn't expect 38k.
