I'm just glad they're finally getting to do an album together! They'll finally get a new story line for at least ONE season of the show.
Unless, of course, they fall out during the promotion of it...

But can we talk about Raise the Bar for a second? It's praise and worship chords are just giving me alter call realness and I love the vocal layers.

"Calling All Lovers" is amazing and completely different than "Love & War" - I appreciate that ear that Tamar and her team have to put an amazing R&B album.

Tamar is coming here to the capital of the O-H-I-O with Kem in November and yours truly will be present.

Okay... I am absolutely obsessed with this album! It gets better with each listen. Her studio vocals are impeccable. This album may not go far in sales or the performance of the singles, but she set out to make a quality R&B album, and that is what she did.

Is she thinking DWTS alone will sell copies of her album? 2 TV performances this era is not enough

Does her being on The Real prevent her from doing the daytime talk circuit?

Never thought of that, she did to Wendy but they're both on the same station. I don't see why she can't do late night though.

Does her being on The Real prevent her from doing the daytime talk circuit? Could be. When does it go on hiatus? I need this b*tch to perform, but she needs to warm up and rest a bit. Wendy was a disaster.

I finally gave this a full listen. It was a good album and at least on par with Love & War. I think the tracklisting for the first half of the album was definitely not done right. There were far too many slower tempo songs in a row. I feel like the album really picked up from I Love You to Must Be Good To You. Those 4 songs are all strong and if they would've been divided in between the first half of the album, it would've made a better listening experience. If we get another single, I'd vouch for Must Be Good To You.

"Broken Record" or "Makin' Love" needs to come next.

I could see any of the songs with the exception of "King" and "Free Fallin" working as a single. Even the deluxe tracks are strong enough to be released, imo. This album is definitely tailored made for urban AC

Broken Record is pretty much the ONLY song I don't use at all. It's legitimately boring. Never is a close second but I think I like the lyrics so I pay some attention to it. Everything is else is beyond amazing. Free Fallin's vocals give me goosebumps. Several times on this album I feel something that I don't usually feel from these hollow singers nowadays. Like I said before, only Mariah currently gives me that feeling. I am obsessed with Circles and Simple Things and I Love You is very nice. If I Don't Have You, while sung at the utmost top of her range, is still a jam. I NEVER thought I could feel this way about Tamar Braxton. At this point, I like her more than Toni.

"Broken Record" has the melody on the album though. The line, "Where do I go from here?" with the back vocals following doesn't move you. When I first heard it, I knew this woman was trying to get me in my feelings. I honestly feel this album is about me because it is crack to me right now. I use every track and I didn't expect that at first. "Circles" is boring as hell, but it is not defensive so I still use it.

Circles, with the simple beat that comes and drops out suddenly, those vocals, the passion, the lyrics...EVERYTHING.

Agreed, only I would replace what you said about Circles with Coming Home.

They should just tack on one of Tamar's Christmas album tracks, as well as one from Toni.

Her voice is good in the studio, I like most of her work on the albums. I just can't at the faces and her voice live. She gives me life on the radio or album but i cant otherwise.

She can always utilize some pitch shifting in the studio but I dont think Tamar will go down that road.
