carriekins should have started the thread when she had the chance. :) Good choice. Riser is arguably the best album of the year and the single selections have been spot on thus far. Hopefully the massive success of "Drunk On A Plane" can propel "Say You Do" for another top 5 finish.

I have been STALKING Play MPE. It's alright, Sabre, you can do the honors.
This is my favorite song off Riser, but in the past week I've actually felt like they should have gone with Riser now. Ah well. Excited, nervous, and hopeful this performs how I want it to.

This is a good choice. I can see it being pretty big, considering the big momentum that Dierks has back on his side now.

Perfect choice. It's a GREAT song, but it comes at a time when bro country is all but finished as a dominant trend and more traditional sounds and substantial lyrics are being welcomed back.
I'm predicting another #1.

Great great great great great great choice. I'm in love with this song right now. I might even like this more than "I Hold On". The whole album just has a really great feel to it that only Dierks could have made. I think with the roll Dierks is on, this will peak either #1 or #2. Hopefully it will have a short run similar to DOAP.

This is indeed among the very best CDs of the year so far, and I'm absolutely delirious that he's really hit the big time in a breakout year similar to the one which Randy Houser richly deserved and enjoyed last year with two standout tunes finishing in the year-end top 20 @ Mediabase; he's consistently enriched all of us with standout music for over a decade, and I certainly hope he reaps a third consecutive #1 single with this wonderful song.

Y'all are way more optimistic than I am. He's pretty hot right now, and DOAP was one of the biggest hits of the year, so the momentum is definitely there, plus throw in his new award nominations. If they went with "Riser" or "Damn These Dreams", something slower basically, I might be less optimistic. "Say You Do" has just enough tempo for me to not worry as much. Sometimes it's easy to be more worried about your favorite artist though, I know I've been worried about "What We Ain't Got".

The lyrics are great and the melody is an earworm. This should be a #1 Riser is my favorite album I've heard that was releases this year with Where it all Began as a close second

I'm a big fan of this single choice. DOAP burned very fast on me so it'll be nice to have a new one out there. With all of his momentum right now, in a perfect world I'd love to see Bourbon in Kentucky get a re-release as a last single.

I hope it's a #1 because I'm a huge Dierks fan. I'm not optimistic though.

Dierks posted a teaser video for the SYD music video tonight. Appears to be coming out Monday (9/22). I suspect that is also when SYD will officially go to radio. Insert nervous excitement here.

Really love this song; in fact, I like this the best of the three (?) singles released so far. This has a nice, easy vibe to it that's a really pleasant listen.
I listened to the album once on Spotify & it did nothing for me but maybe I'll give it a try again because I really do love this one.

Give it another listen, because many of the songs have a similar tempo as this one.

Best album of the year in my opinion, and couldn't have made a bad choice. I thought it would probably be "Five", but "Say You Do" followed by "Five" makes a lot of sense, going with a slower tempo song between "Drunk on a Plane" and "Five". Like I said, not a bad choice on the album and I believe Dierks is about to be as big as anyone out there, if he isn't already.

Love this song already! Stuck in my head after 2 listens.
Seems like a perfect fall song and I think these mid-tempo ballads are where Dierks really shows he has a place among the elite country artists.
Hoping it goes higher than Draw Me a Map, which I also thought was an excellent mid-tempo (although I understand the bluegrass dilemma with that CD).

That's a great video, the imagery fits perfect with the mood of the song. And I agree with most, this is a perfect sounding Fall song.

This was sent to radio today and, as previously noted, it goes for adds next Monday, October 6.
One little tidbit that I find impressive is that "Say You Do" already appeared on Billboard's New & Active tonight even though radio stations didn't have it yet last week. Now obviously many probably do since they have the album, but still, for a song to have any airplay before being officially sent out as the single is always a good sign, and Dierks was already up to 350k on tonight's chart. The #60 song was just barely over 400k.

Previous single, Drunk On A Plane was certified platinum. I do not have a link for it though. I want Say You Do become Dierks Bentley's lucky 13th #1 hit.

This one didn't grab me on the first few listens, but paying closer attention to it now, I agree that it's a great song. I've loved Dierks since "What Was I Thinkin'" and it's nice to see him coming up with so many quality songs after the Feel That Fire nadir.

Has any one heard this on their local radio? I know I haven't at all. Shoot for a moment I even forgot it was the current single!
