I looked and couldn't find this CBS statement. You have a link? Oh, so they won't be using that one particular song in any football games going forward. Your statement made it seems like CBS as a company completely blacklisted Rihanna as an artist..... Isn't that exactly what Rihanna told them she wanted in the tweet? Not sure how giving her exactly what she asked for "serves her right" in this particular instance.

You're assuming CBS couldn't blacklist her if they wanted to. It wouldn't be the first time a network blacklists a Pop singer.

I don't understand how anybody could justify this as making sense?
This is a totally different situation than 'Die Young'. That song was just unfortunate enough to be the #1 song in the country during that terrible massacre. This is being stripped from promos because Rihanna is a domestic abuse victim. It's like one of the NFL stars raping someone and them not using a Madonna song because she was at one point raped. Why are we punishing the victim? It's honestly just...stupid. I would be pissed if I were Rihanna too. It should also be noted that I personally believe that Rihanna is obnoxious on social media and being her manager is not something I would ever want the burden of doing, but I would be pissed if I has her. Especially if there is money being lost. I believe Mic said that her royalties were paid up front, and if that's the case then no harm done, but if there were residual royalties due to her every time the promo was being aired that we don't know about then I would be 100000% pissed off.

as you know by know, or if you haven't heard, the NFL had banned the song "Run This Town" featuring Rihanna from the CBS Thursday Night Football because of the Ray Rice domestic abuse situation and in response to that, Rihanna tweeted back using the F word and saying it was absurd. Now I always think the media make too much of something when it comes to stuff like this, but at the same time I found Rihanna's tweet to be immature, classless, and very obnoxious, especially since she has a legion of young fans watching, and also sounded like she had a sense of entitlement. I know I'm supposed to feel bad for her, but when most of your career has been putting a negative image, sing about sex and act very arrogant ,you can't expect any sympathy from me. What's your opinion on this matter? What if I feel like the response to her tweet sounds immature, classless and very obnoxious.

Totally agree with this. I mean, Rihanna was the domestic abuse victim here. Its for her to have a problem with the association - if she were to even make it, farfetched as it was. It sounds like this all went down hill quickly and now CBS was scrambling to fix things. I don't fault Rihanna for being upset - her (mis?) use of social media aside.

The worst part is people seem to have forgotten it's a Jay-Z song.

The worst part is people seem to have forgotten it's a Jay-Z song. Is that really the worst part here? When the allegations are that a major network is sweeping a domestic abuse survivor aside to save face the worst part is that people have "forgotten" this was a song that she was just the hook singer for? What world do these people live in.

I don't understand WHY Twitter and tweets are given so much weight and attention. IMO, I wish Rihanna would stop tweeting so people can quit complaining about what she does. But even then, they will still find something to complain about.

I don't really get the issue with her tweets. I mean, if you want to take offense to how she worded them then fine, but then you have to take offense to pretty much anything she's ever said on social media. Her anger is completely justified here.
