I have no idea how I'm supposed to vote. Is it a first single v first single thing or a top whatever thing or just all that you like? I'll post all three and just not vote...
(There's also a lot of singles missing.)
London Bridge/What You Waiting For?
Wow, this is insanely difficult! Both are fantastic songs and both have a lot of nostalgia behind them. I think the edge goes to "London Bridge" for dat sax.
Fergalicious/Rich Girl
Definitely "Fergalicious" here. I like "Rich Girl," but I've always found it to be overhyped. "Fergalicious," on the other hand, is an orgasm to my ears to this day.
Glamorous/
Hollaback GirlThis is another very difficult one for all the same reasons as the first singles. As much as I adore "Glamorous," I have to give it to "Hollaback Girl" for that iconic "B-A-N-A-N-A-S" bridge.
Big Girls Don't Cry/Cool
"Cool" is nice, but I adore "Big Girls Don't Cry" like no other.
Clumsy/Luxurious
Oddly enough, this one is hard but for a different reason. I like them both, but both I've started to like less and less as time goes on. "Clumsy" gets the edge, though, because that bridge. Specifically
the love bug crawls right back up and BITES me.
Here I Come/
CrashLOVE the sample in "Here I Come," but "Crash" takes the win here. That hook is undeniable.
Crash, crash, baby, do me fast in your car! I'm here waiting CRASH into me REAL hard! Barracuda/
Wind It Up"Wind It Up" gets a lot of hate, but I absolutely adore it in every aspect. That quirky bass line, the
Sound of Music sample, all of it! "Barracuda" is also a kickass cover, but "Wind It Up" takes the win here.
Finally/
The Sweet Escape"The Sweet Escape" is a classic. The whole refrigerator line is quirky, but undeniably amazing. I only kind of like "Finally." I like the piano in the verses, but that's about it.
Labels or Love/
4 in the MorningAbsolutely love "4 in the Morning," and as I get older, I appreciate it more and more. "Labels or Love" is meh.
Feel Alive/
Now That You Got ItI honestly have no clue how "Feel Alive" goes. I like "Now That You Got It," so I guess it wins.
Just listened to "Feel Alive." Yeah, "Now That You Got It" >>>>
A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (All We Got)/Early Winter
"Party" takes the win here, but I'm not a big fan of it. I just don't like "Early Winter."
*Note: I had to scour through Fergie's discography to find enough singles to match Gwen's. I don't actually think "Barracuda" counts as a real single, but it seemed to have been pushed decently well with
Shrek the Third and all. Also, I literally have never heard of "Feel Alive" until today. Apparently it features Pitbull and was from the fourth
Step Up film? Okay, sure!
