So Chad Kroeger announced in an interview that a song on their upcoming record, No Fixed Address, titled "Got Me Runnin' Round" will feature a middle rap verse from the one and only Flo Rida. Chad also announced that the song will also feature a horn section, done by the people that did Michael Jackson's "Thriller". What do you think about the world's most hated band and one of the world's most hated rappers joining forces for a song together?
As big as a Nickelback fan as I am (a lot of you could tell), I think this is going to be the worst song ever. The horn section seems interesting, but Flo Rida is a god awful decision. The song is either going to be super pop and Nickelback will sound awful in it or it will be rock and Flo Rida will sound awful in it. There's not going to be an in-between. I would be fine if there was a solo version on the album, and then they make a pop mix for it if they were to release as a single. But releasing a song with Flo Rida on the actual album is a terrible decision. My guess is that Republic kind of forced this collaboration to get Nickelback back in the mainstream.

WOW! I wonder what it will sound like. Can't wait to hear it. Love both Nickelback and Flo Rida.

Flo Rida sucks now and Nickelback isn't doing better... I'm 99% sure of a very disappointing song

prefer Flo Rida of the two so it might better than the typical Nickelback song.

This is a massive disaster waiting to happen. The term 'Pop emergency' will be the understatement of the century.

Nickelback had some real good songs though, and I used to love Flo Rida UNTIL HE STARTED MAKING CRAP
But yeah, 99% chance of a trashy song.

First off, Nickleback haven't had a hit in 5 or 6 years, this is clearly a desperate attempt to regain their relevance. With club music on its way out, and Flo-Rida kind of starting to become a thing of the past (this is the first time in 6 years he won't be appearing on a year end list and is been nearly 2 years since he released anything new), this move is probably going to backfire. These 2 artists are now way beyond their peak in popularity, so I expect this song to have a short chart life, I would be shocked if this was a big hit or even a moderate-sized one. This collaboration is a disaster waiting to happen, they were already intolerate separately to begin with. I'm not seeing a hit song come out of this.

Didn't people say the same thing about Nickelback after their sophomore album 'The Long Road' didn't do well. They went on make 'All the Right Reasons' which was even bigger than their break through album. Now I agree that this song probably wont do anything but to write them off as a thing of the past doesn't really hold water as they're pretty much a mainstay of mainstream pop/rock at this point and could very likely have another big hit at some point in the future.

Is unlikely they'll get another Top 40 hit, since rock is practically dead in the mainstream. I can't really count out Flo-Rida because he's already surprised everyone by sticking around after being predicted to be another flash-in-the-pan rap artist when he released "Low", and could just jump into the next trend, but as far as Nickelback goes, I can see them having further hits in the rock charts, but their days as pop staples are long gone. They'd have to really sell out, and go full pop like Maroon 5 did for them to be relevant again, and I'm not even sure if that'll work for them.

Mark my words this one will be killer catchy and will piss off Nickelback haters beyond belief, as well as many NB fans. Whether it actually does anything in the charts is another story.

Decided to listen early. It's not too bad. I think Nickelback sounds good and different, but Flo Rida provides nothing. Pointless inclusion. The producer made his voice sort of unrecognizable.
