Looks like they dropped WOGI Pittsburgh, KNTY Sacramento, and KEGA Salt Lake City. That would make the most sense as I seriously doubt there would be a mistake. I didn't hear of any dropped stations beforehand though...

Looks like they dropped WOGI Pittsburgh, KNTY Sacramento, and KEGA Salt Lake City. Weird that they didn't announce this when they announced the new adds. AllAccess had a list of all adds/drops for all formats...most formats had a few added and a few dropped, but for country they only had the 6 adds. I wonder if the 3 dropped stations only recently fell below the requirements to remain on the panel? (stations have to play a certain percentage of new music to be included on the MB and/or BB panels; both trades have slightly different rules, but I don't know what they are off the top of my head). sabre14, it's confirmed. The 3 dropped stations are named at the top of page 10 in tonight's Aircheck Weekly.

Thanks. :) I thought that might be the case, haha. But I scrolled through Aircheck quickly the first time and I didn't see that little paragraph, so I thought maybe you had missed it too. Tonight's Billboard update still shows that KEGA Salt Lake City, KNTY Sacramento, and WOGI Pittsburgh remain on the BB panel, but I also noticed that they haven't updated the list to include the 4 stations that they (BB) added 2 weeks ago. This was from the Billboard Country Update on Monday, May 4: They're still showing 146 stations on page 11 of tonight's BCU. Those 4 new stations were indeed added to the panel 2 weeks ago but apparently they've forgotten to edit the list. Hopefully they get it right in next week's issue.

Leave it to jhomes87 to have a more up-to-date list of panel stations than the BCU staff itself, lol. Republic Nashville seems to have really been fighting hard to catch "Don't It" with "Smoke" and they came pretty darn close, but it looks like they just won't quite be able to get "Smoke" to #1 next week. I do expect at least three weeks at #1 to be split between "Smoke" and "Sippin' on Fire." "Wild Child" has a seven million audience gap to close and so far it is not putting up nearly as strong gains as it needs to be to close that anytime soon. I wouldn't even be totally shocked to see Republic try to get two weeks at #1 for both "Smoke" and "Sippin' on Fire" given how great their timing is right now.

I think "Don't It" will be number one before "Smoke" is number one.

Are we assuming that "Summer Forever" will be the next single? That worries me looking at who wrote it. Cole Swindell, Florida Georgia Line, and one of my increasingly least-favorite writers Jesse Frasure. How shallow could THAT song possibly be? I'm only concerned because "It Don't Hurt Like It Used To" may be my favorite song right now of any artist and Billy kills the vocals. Not to mention he co-wrote it. Would LOVE to see that one released. Not holding my breath. EDIT: www.youtube.com/watch?v=htnWCIpsHsAComplete with your daily dose of "love-making" and "Silverado leather"!!! All it took was a 15 second clip so I can only imagine what the rest of the song will sound like. :(

Seems like the timing to release a song called "Summer Forever" might be a little off in my opinion. Billy's next song will probably get a mid-late June release, and won't peak until early 2016, so I don't see that one fairing to well in the colder months. I think it could be a good possibility for a 3rd single though. Then again we did get "Sun Daze" to peak around Valentines Day, so who knows anymore.

Very happy for Billy Currington :) : Congrats to his Mediabase Canada Country #1
Unsure where this will land on Billboard's BDS Canada Airplay as the whole Top 3 is very close on both charts (A Thousand Horses / Billy Currington / Florida Georgia Line)

We have to wait 'til tomorrow night to see the chart, though, as today is Memorial Day. :)

I can't tell if anyone's gonna go recurrent where Luke and Hunter are gonna debut. Who will get pushed out. There's so much this week. Do you think for Billy they'll keep him at #1 for a single week or try two weeks cause the album isn't dropping till next week right?

UMG won't push for a 2nd week, 1000-Horses & FGL have been coming in strong.

The people who work for both publications have today off (Memorial Day).

I understand it's just frustrating cause I have this day off form school so I was looking forward too wrapping up my weekend with the Billboard Charts. >:( Regardless congrats to Billy hopefully the album will be better hum the last one. Chock full of bro-hits. Regardless congrats Billy now move out of the top before FGL possibly takes it from A Thousand Horses.

He'll be #1 on both Billboard and Mediabase this week. UMG won't push for a 2nd week, 1000-Horses & FGL have been coming in strong. I agree that Billy's promotion team, Mercury Nashville, won't push for a second week, but it'll be because they have their hands full with two very old hits that need to be pushed to #1 ASAP, Easton Corbin's "Baby Be My Love Song" and Canaan Smith's "Love You Like That." Easton's song is 36 weeks old and Canaan's song has been on the chart 41 weeks but is nearly 11 months old (several weeks hacked off its chart run due to going recurrent in the 40's and not re-entering for several weeks). Tyler Farr's "A Guy Walks into a Bar" took 42 weeks to reach #1 and fell considerably hard (one of the hardest falls in the past 15 years), so Mercury is likely trying to get these two hits to #1 as quickly as they can before the bottom caves in on either one. I do expect Easton and probably Canaan to manage a #1 finish since these two artists have album releases set for late June, but it would be a waste of time for Mercury to push "Don't It" for two weeks when they could focus on getting a single week at #1 for two artists who need the success much more. That said, A Thousand Horses and FGL aren't coming in very strong right now at all. Both have slammed on the brakes considerably last week and I think Billy/Mercury could make trouble for them if they chose to this week. I'm sure I'll get some raised eyebrows for this conspiracy theory, but I suspect Republic Nashville is being given a tighter budget to work singles to radio lately and as such they can't quite match the artificial levels of airplay other labels have been able to push their songs to, so while "Smoke" and "Sippin' on Fire" at legit #1 hits, they are struggling to get much higher and possibly losing to other labels that funnel more money and resources into radio promo.

Canaan has to be running out of energy. I can see him getting the Top 10. But #1 seems unlikely. Easton needs to make sure Kelsea doesn't pass him (I hope she does.) Because Blake is gonna be up for a couple of weeks and who knows if LBT or Luke catches up in the time frame.

[...Edited...] Wasn't he only out for just two weeks (November 10 and 17, 2014) when he went recurrent from #46 to only get back on the chart on 11/24/15 at number... #46! LOL :)
