Safe and boring choice, but that won't stop it from smashing. Wildest Dreams would have been soooo much more interesting as the 3rd single though. That song is a smash if it can somehow manage to get released.

Way to go Taylor for picking the obvious single choice again. This has smash written all over it just like "Blank Space" did. I'm just so glad it wasn't "Out of the Woods" (yuck). I'd pick "Wildest Dreams" and "I Know Places" as the 4th and 5th singles, but that's all I really love from this album.

Idk about this, it might go to #1 based on momentum alone and have a fast fall. I just don't think this is aggressive enough, it's a bit light hearted and breezy

Hasn't left the top 100 on iTunes since album release, already getting critical acclaim on year-end lists as an album track...she would have to be insane to not make this the next single. This is one of the best pop songs released in few years. Feel free to call me delusional, I don't care. Release the beast, this is going to be massive.

I was flipping through Entertainment Weekly in the doctor's office yesterday and caught their review of 1989. They listed this along with "Welcome to New York" as "tracks to skip". I was really surprised, given most reception for this song has been incredibly positive. I wasn't surprised to see it for the latter, of course.

I think "Out of the Woods" or "Wildest Dreams" would have made better choices for the third single with this being fourth, but oh well. This will be a hit regardless.

I don't connect with this song the way that it seems like so many others have, but the love its getting is certainly promising for its chances of being the third #1. I would be overwhelmed with excitement if she went for 5 straight #1s. Overwhelmed.

Wait this is actually a positive relationship single from Taylor Swift?
Mind blown.

Personally I'd rather have New Romantics, Bad Blood or Wildest Dreams over OOTW which I find incredibly repetitive

With all the promotion that "Welcome To New York" got,I was surprised that wasn't the next radio single. But "Style" is the best choice for the next single and hope it does better than "22" did back in 2013. This has to be a hit for Taylor. :)

I am more than happy with this choice!
Other songs I hope to see as singles: Out of the Woods I Know Places Clean
Songs I also wouldn't mind as singles: All You Had To Do Was Stay I Wish You Would

Even worse than not *liking* the song is this ridiculous line: www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20865424,00.html Don't want to get into a whole debate about the quality of "I Know Places" vs. "Style," but no sane person hears that, then hears Style, and thinks the former is more likely to top the charts.

It's really surprising to see anyone doubt this songs potential, as long as the video is great this has the potential to be the defining single from 1989. Just wait and see.

It will smash. I love the chorus, but I hate the talking part "I should just tell you to leave but I..." Ruins the momentum of the song for me.

Wait this is actually a positive relationship single from Taylor Swift? Mind blown. Well if you want to get technical about it, none of her mainstream singles sans the Red era express negativity towards an ex lover. If you you REALLY want to get technical about it, her only negative relationship singles are Picture to Burn, Should've Said No, White Horse, WANEGBT and IKYWT, 5 songs out of 25 which makes for a grand total of only 20% of her entire singles discography. So I'm not sure why your mind is blown for a single that falls into 80% of her singles discography

This is going to be massive, even bigger than either of the preceding singles.

I see this being #1 but not lingering at the top for as long.
Out of the Woods, on the other hand....

All I want to see is to see the video, like I said before I know they already taped it. They also know when to release it, maybe three more weeks? Or 13 January (Tuesday)?

Blank Space doesn't seem peaking yet. If she release in two weeks she will make Ariana Grande slow in the release of her singles. At that rate she will need to release 8 singles to stay on the charts a whole year

The title alone will spark plenty of curiosity from the general public. Hopeful they're smart enough to release a video that'll go viral, a la Blank Space.
This is going to smash. It screams spring.
