I see this being #1 but not lingering at the top for as long. Out of the Woods, on the other hand.... Yes. That song will be MAJOR.

This is kinda tumbling on iTunes while bad blood is holding steady in the 60s It's only tumbling because it was performed on the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which helped it skyrocket back into the top 10. Without it being a current single, it's falling back to where it originally was. Most of the album tracks have been hovering in similar spots for awhile. Notice "Wildest Dreams" sitting just inside the top 100.

lol at all these posts trying to downplay this tracks potential. I know! lol! It does give me a good laugh! I can't wait for the posts of those being "absolutely shocked" when this thing parks itself at #1 for a better part of the Spring! 2015 the Pop Chart may as well be named the Taylor Swift chart, she's got at least 3, hopefully 4 more songs next year that will solidify her as the music world's modern legend. "Style" #1 "Out of the Woods" #1 "Wildest Dreams" #1 and if 4th-"New Romantics" #1 Perfect era! Just give her the 2016 Grammy Album of the Year now!

I would like to remind everyone that iTunes sales don't necessarily indicate good singles. The top selling album track from Ke$ha's Animal was "Blah Blah Blah," for example, and "Yoü and I" topped for Born This Way. Neither were absolute flops, but they also weren't the biggest hits from their respective eras either.

"You and I" was still the best choice for the fourth single.
But I agree with your sentiment.

Except Bad Blood is still holding quite well after 2 months of its initial release without any kind of push behind it. It's more notable considering her two current singles are doing extremely well right now, IMO. The situation reminds me of Dark Horse, rather than Blah*3 or You and I and it shows its strong potential to be another huge hit for her. I do think releasing Blah*3 was a huge mistake, though.

Neither were absolute flops, but they also weren't the biggest hits from their respective eras either. I think both are very different cases. Kesha was the flavor of the month after Tik Tok if my memory doesn't fail Blah blah blah was not going to be the single but they rely on the big sales and gave it a try. Blah blah blah was simply a bad song, maybe it worked in a club but it didn't work on radio at all. It climbed fast, stalled fast and dropped like a stone. You and I is a very different story, when You and I was released there was a Gaga saturation. I'm pretty sure if You and i were released after Born this way it's chart run would be very different, but Judas derailed Gaga's era. She was able to have another big hit with The edge of glory and You and I was a sizable hit itself, but the incredible good buzz she had was gone after Judas. I think Style is in a totally different situation, the song fit with Taylor is releasing, is very radio friendly and right now she is simple the singer of the moment. Nothing is a sure shot at number one, not on radio and even less on the billboard hot 100 when a totally unknown can become viral in a moment and block you from number one, but the song looks like a top contender for being number one when it'll be released. And i think Out of the woods should be a single too, the critical reception of Out of the woods is the best i've ever see for a Taylor Swift song (and the song is catchy enough to be a big hit too)

Looking back at Taylor's previous era with "Red", "22" was the top selling album track on Itunes during "Red" release week. It became the followup single to "I Knew You Were Trouble." and was a minor hit. But "22" has mixed likes among the Taylor fanbase on the net. Something "Style" has that "22" doesn't have is that the fanbase loves the song and there isn't any hate for it among the fanbase either.I know fan favorites don't mean much when it comes to charting and whatnot.

That was my point. Same can be said for "Yoü and I." I'm also not even talking about "Style."

Regarding Born This Way, hadn't Judas been so polarizing it would have been huge. I see little direct correlation to Taylor's itunes performance on tracks, and their feasibility as a massive single. Anyway, suggesting that Bad Blood would do better is absurd, and comparing Bad Blood to Dark Horse is just mind boggling, if anything can be compared to Dark Horse, in terms of fan reactions/single potential it is clearly all about Style.

I mean Bad Blood is for sure going... huh? To radio. As a single. I've seen a lot of people post a single order that looks like: Shake it Off, Blank Space, Style, Out of the Woods, Wildest Dreams, The New Romantics, but I feel like Bad Blood is a cornerstone of the single blueprint at this point. Feels as inevitable as (if not more inevitable than) Out of the Woods. And I'm not at a fan of the song. But there's no denying it's radio-friendly, sync-friendly, catchy and selling like freaking hotcakes. Not releasing it would be a mistake I'm not sure the team responsible for "1989" is capable of making.

^ I have to agree, I listened to bad blood for the first time yesterday and its such a dull and out of sync song, I'd think she would go with wildest dreams/out of the woods next

Really want Out of the Woods to be a single, but this one is pretty good as well. Lots of good choices on the album.

Yay, I always knew this was the 3rd single. I'm not really aware of timing when a new single should be out, but could this be mid january? or it's too soon? BS already peaked in pop radio
