I love, love, LOVE Wildest Dreams but I don't understand swifties' obsession with it being released. There's no doubt in my mind about it tanking...hard.

"Bad Blood" needs to stay unreleased. It's one of the two weakest spots on the album, with the other being the lead single, funnily enough. After "Style", go for "Out of the Woods", "Wildest Dreams", and close out with "New Romantics". Boom. I love, love, LOVE Wildest Dreams but I don't understand swifties' obsession with it being released. There's no doubt in my mind about it tanking...hard. I seriously don't see anything from this album tanking if it were to ever be released, sans "Clean" and "You Are in Love". I think "Wildest Dreams" would be a perfectly sizable hit. It'd certainly outperform "22".

Releasing Bad Blood is something Katy Perry would do. 17 singles 15 top tens 13 top fives 11 number ones I don't see an issue there.

SMASH waiting to happen, obviously.
That chorus is fucking infectious.

In addition to the one Austin posted above, this is another cool cover: [video....] It's interesting how many males are covering this. He can pick me up with no headlights.

Exactly, I know you don't see it, and your reply is 100% proof of the problem. Taylor Swift is at the height of her musical powers. She didn't get there through a compilation of chart peaks and records amassed (even though she has many for herself). She got there through quality material, artistic growth, and a fan base that has stayed with her for years. You don't reduce an artist like Taylor Swift's career to numbers and chart positions. When people bandwagon for Bad Blood, all they're doing is seeing a mediocre offering by Taylor Swift do well on iTunes and extrapolating from there. They're thinking in terms of numbers and charts, the kind Katy Perry fans throw up without blinking as if it's really the be all. Taylor Swift can smash with amazing material and she can smash with her more middle of the road material. So why not just go with the better material, and stop thinking like a Billbord Chart Statistician.

What? I'm not thinking in chart statistics. I posted that as a joke.
I want Bad Blood because I think it IS the higher quality song. Have you not been paying any attention whatsoever to my posts?

I guess I just assumed anyone who thought Bad Blood was better than Style, Out of the Woods, or Wildest Dreams was joking.

I guess I just assumed anyone who thought Bad Blood was better than Style, Out of the Woods, or Wildest Dreams was joking. I've never said that either. I prefer all three of those songs to "Bad Blood." Not once have I ever said "Bad Blood" should be released over those three. I've said it should be released with those three and over "All You Had to Do Was Stay" and "I Wish You Would."

Honey this is the thread of the third single. We're talking about the third, and maybe fourth single. If you're not talking about Bad Blood being released in either of those contexts then I don't know what you're talking about.

Ok, this has me hooked now even though I didn't go in as a believer. I honestly didn't see what all the fuss was about, but since purchasing the song two days ago and maybe six listens in - the chorus won't get out of my head. It's also much more stylistic, forgive the pun, than I originally gave it credit for. It's a great follow up to Blank Space, even though Out of the Woods is the best song left on the album and needs a release ASAP.

You maybe don't want Bad Blood to be single (i don't want either, i think it's a bad idea because it will steal the focus of the music and it will put it on the gossip magazines), but the truth is Bad Blood is probably the non single which is selling more, and it seems a lot of people like it. Of course we have example of non singles selling well not being released as singles (Dope) or doing way worse than expected (Blah, blah, blah) but i won't be surprised if Bad Blood ends being a single anyway

Well, I think we've talked enough about "Bad Blood" in a thread for "Style" for the time being. ;)

I fully expect this to enter the top 50 tomorrow. #51 in the Sunday final update with 283 spins, only 3 behind #50. Didn't even need an official announcement. EDIT: No top 50 yet. :( Imagine Dragons took the spot.

'Bad Blood' is such an obvious single I'm not understanding the argument against it lmao Love 'Style' though!

This is a great song. SIO randomly grew on me, as well, so she's three for three.

OK so I finally started listening to this (I still don't have the album :/). The bassline in the verses rules so much. Easily my favorite of the three so far.

I'd be happy if this starting exploding soon. Momentum is such a fragile thing, and Taylor has massive momentum right now. Strike while the iron is hot.

The Victoria's Secret performance really made me love this. I've never been a huge fan of hers, but this song was just... something special. Excited to see it released/maybe remixed for clubs.

I dont get the hype for OOTW at all, things its the most overrated repetitive songs on the album.

I am both fascinated and perplexed that we had someone not have heard it yet! I've heard it a few times; just waiting to get the deluxe at Target - I was originally going to wait until it went on sale, but I feel like I'll be waiting until like November for that, so.
