Worst case scenario is that this turns out to be something like a "More Than That" moment (which, IIRC, that lost its bullet right around when BSB had to suspend a tour due to AJ McLean going into rehab - it was gone within a month)...but considering this is just under a month away from recurrency anyway, would that matter? (Then again, I think this song just passed that in terms of chart length anyway.)
Follow-up to this over here, at least not from Four? Yeah...probably not happening.

With the recent news, I'm hearing this a tiny bit more now, which is all good with me because I still love this song.

That would be something if this goes top 10 now because of the news. I highly doubt we will get another FOUR single. "Where Do Broken Hearts Go" would be appropriate though.

The problem I have with Night Changes personally is that, although I like it for a 1D single (I'm not a fan of them in general), it does not ignite the excitement Story Of My Life did manage to give me, so I usually change the song halfway through cause I get bored. I think that may be one of the reasons why it can't get past #15, it's just a background song that people are not rushing to listen to.

this has definitely been rebounding on iTunes since the Zayn announcement (currently No. 29, when it's generally stayed around the 50's for the past several weeks) - so maybe it'll nab a new Hot 100 peak? airplay's at an all-time high, and I would assume the news has lead to a streaming spike in addition to its sales spike.
Hot 100 chart run = 55 - *31* - 51 - 53 - 50 - 34 - 34 - 39 - 42 - 46 - 51 - 50 - 50 - 55 - 52 - 54 - 52 - 45 - ?

That would be interesting indeed, if the news causes an airplay spike.
Right now it has DeRulo, Flo Rida, and The Weeknd charging upward to worry about, with nobody they can pass anytime soon. That right there would otherwise give cause to say that this is going to peak right at 13.

Not a surprise, but "a label rep says no further single releases are planned at this time." via

Was that after they performed this live on the AMAs? Would love to see this go Top20, if not, Top10.

I follow the radio chart more than the overall Hot 100. I think that is a better indicator of a song. I've never liked the BB charts that combine sales/airplay/streaming/digital. I prefer each separate.

One Direction has been exceptionally consistent at creating songs that fall under the 'not great, but not bad either' category for me, but this song is really good. I'd love to see them continue in this direction.

I hear this song everywhere...radio, stores, restaurants. The last song of theirs like that was SOML. I was hoping this would make it that far but #13 looks to be set in stone. It was in a Billboard article today mentioned that there are no more planned singles from FOUR. What a shame. Their label has mostly never done right by them with radio singles, with just a few exceptions. I think they have them record albums to go along with tours rather than worrying about having a string of radio hits. Maybe it's just cause they spread around the world more from social media than from traditional radio to begin with. They have 2 more albums left on the contract for the remaining 4 members to record.

Been hearing this song a LOT more on the radio over here. I wonder if they're only playing it because of the recent news, or if people are actually requesting it more?
