I made a 2-part video of what I thought were the best songs of 2014, here's the link these videos: www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjMee9qwkPcwww.youtube.com/watch?v=GAfGkGs4RvQI'm sorry for the bad quality, and the fact that I tend to stutter and repeat myself too much, but I'm not very good on the mic. Anyways, tell me your opinions of the choices, and what were your favorite songs of 2014.

My personal thoughts on each song:
#15. Rude - Ew...
#14. i - This song is okay, but I honestly don't get the hype.
#13. Love Never Felt So Good - A really good track, nothing huge, but I like it for that reason. It was laidback, and I still enjoy it!
#12. Team - I like this one, for some reason it wasn't one of my favorites, but it has aged well, and it kept it from burning out on me.
#11. Don't - YAS! This song is one of the better releases this year!!! But you clearly don't follow him if you were surprised by the rap, as he's done this on multiple occasions.
#10. Latch - This song appears to have aged quite well with me! A really great track and I'm glad it got to crossover!!!
#9. Pompeii - I really liked this song a lot when it came out, but I can't stand to hear it on the radio now, but I will listen to it from time to time as I don't outright hate it.
#8. The Man - I HATED THIS SONG! Now I kind of like it, but I still don't get why everyone loved it...
#7. Come With Me Now - I liked this song, but never bothered to chart it as I didn't really feel that strongly about it. It's alright.
#6. Happy - I definitely loved it when it first came out, and I still do. But I hated it for a short amount of time inbetween! Anyways, a feel-good song that puts me in a great mood!
#5. Stay With Me - One of the best songs of the year in every aspect! Great vocals, excellent lyrics, raw emotions, and the music video was pretty good too!
#4. Am I Wrong - Loved it upon first listen, burned out pretty fast though... but now it's growing back on me! :) Great song, the singers were alright, but the production is what made me like it!
#3. All of Me - One of my personal favorites this year! For the same reasons as Sam Smith actually! It's just absolutely fantastic!
#2. Rather Be - OMG! MY JAM!!! This is the future of dance! The classic and house fusion is just something magical! And I still love this song, and it made me excited for their future single, "Real Love" which is also one of my favorites!
Honorable mentions:
Love Runs Out - Liked it at first, burned out fast, can't stand it now. Glad it didn't make the top 10!
Not a Bad Thing - Same as LRO, just a bland pop song...
Take Me to Church - I would've loved to see this in the top 10! Great song all around!!!
In Your Arms - One word. Yawn.
Bailando - I liked this at first, and still a pretty good track, just not as prominent for me.
#1. I'm Not the Only One - YAS! I think I will like this one for the same reasons as SWM, but even more!!! <3

Looks like you'll have to edit your videos because the Queen has just released the actual best song of 2014!

Looks like you'll have to edit your videos because the Queen has just released the actual best song of 2014! yeah, sorry to disappoint you, but my video will stay the same. I've never been a fan of Selena Gomez (I think her music is pretty generic), and this song doesn't change anything (I'm not very impressed by the song) and I was kind of hoping I wouldn't hear from her at all this year, or a good while for that matter, but if you like it, good for you, but it ain't cracking my list or even an honorable mention.

Most of your tracks were released in either 2012 or 2013 My list will consist of ONLY 2014 releases. that's irrelevant. It doesn't matter if the songs were released 2, 3, 5 years ago, if they were big hits this year, they count. A song can be considered from the current year if it wasn't a major hit until then, including the start of the year, therefore, they qualify for the list. Calling me out for not putting songs simply because they weren't released the same year it was a hit is kind of stupid.

Quoting me 4 weeks later is fucking stupid on a video you said to give your opinion on. I did. Now run along and take another month to try and come up with something clever to say for this rebuttal.

1. Love Me Harder (Ariana Grande & the Weeknd) - hands down the best thing released this year. I don't get tired of it. 2. Partition (Beyonce) - counting this as a 2014 release since it did most of its damage in 2014. Still a jam. 3. Losing Sleep (John Newman) - don't understand why this wasn't massive. 4. Wildest Dreams (Taylor Swift) - I want to put this higher honestly but 2-4 are all extremely close. definitely my favorite off of 1989. 5. Miles (Angie Miller) - make that 2-5. I hope Angie makes it big because if songs like this are any indication, she's going to be a powerhouse.

I made a quick list yesterday - I haven't though about it too much, so I'm unsure if they're the "best" as such - but they came to mind immediately and are surely my most listened to (or were at some point in the year) or just remind me of 2014 at the moment, which is as good a measure as any.
I Will Never Let You Down - Rita Ora I really didn't like her first album and I'm sure I won't like much of the second, but this song... I remember watching the video out of interest and just loving it. Excellent work from Calvin Harris, the chorus is just amazing.
All About That Bass - Meghan Trainor Couldn't get this out of my head for weeks. Love singing it. Much to all my friends' amusement.
I Don't Care - Cheryl Again just couldn't get it out of my head, my favourite Cheryl single in ages.
Do It Again - Royksopp/Robyn One of the best songs of the year - easily. Surprised it's not Grammy nominated alongside the EP.
Uptown Funk - Mark Ronson/Bruno Mars AWESOME song. Does all the right things for me.
Blank Space - Taylor Swift My immediate favourite upon hearing the album - I've never really been into Taylor, but this song changed that. Great pop song.
Uptight Downtown - La Roux One of the most hook-laden songs I heard all year. I enjoyed my first listen to this so much - you know when a song just does everything you want it to? Brilliant chorus, shocked it didn't perform better.
All My Love - Major Lazer/Ariana Grande Annoyed this wasn't really pushed, I love it. My favourite from the Mockingjay soundtrack - alongside Meltdown.
Habits (Stay High) - Tove Lo Reminds me of a guy. Nuff said.
Crying For No Reason - Katy B Almost forgot about this one as it was released in January. Beautiful, epic song. Great melody and vocal performance - never expected this from her.
Anaconda - Nicki Minaj Haaaaaaaa. Had to include it, me and one of my work friends had too much fun with this. That's why it's here.
West Coast - Lana Del Rey I think Brooklyn Baby was actually my favourite, but I just listened to West Coast and could feel my early summer.
