I hope Blown Away eventually gets a 2x platinum cert. Seems like it is possible if she has a long career. I think that only happens through streaming certifications. 300K+ is a long way away and as I mentioned, all four hits are included in Decade 1, so what's really the draw - even Amazon's $1.99 sales probably wouldn't do it! BA did incredibly well - not to mention it's a solid album, but I don't see it moving much once Decade is released.

I would love for Azealia to make top 10. I feel like 20k is a stretch though.

I hope Blown Away eventually gets a 2x platinum cert. Seems like it is possible if she has a long career. I think it will by the end of next year. Probably with the release of her next studio album (which many are expecting to come in Q4 2015), it'll have sold around 1.75m and the label will probably just jump ship and go for a 2x-Platinum cert. with some shipments.

Why compare Blake to Carrie Underwood and not, IDK, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean at his peak, Eric Church, you know, the other big-name male country singers in his age range? Next to them, Blake's numbers aren't so hot, he's not this super amazing voice with such all-time great songs that it would justify the amount of accolades that the country world has been so eager to bestow on him the past few years.

Midler was over projections due to album/concert ticket bundle.
Lots of country artists gain due to last week's CMAs.

One thing that seems to be missing this year as we are now 6 weeks before Christmas is a prominent Christmas album. Pentatonix and Idina Menzel are both in the top 30 but hardly hits. Usually by now the frontrunners for top Christmas albums start to emerge

Tickets aren't yet on sale for Midler's concerts- Nov. 17 is the first on-sale date. Unless there was some sort of pre-public sale well in advance, her sales wouldn't include any redemptions. She did a good amount of promo last week, so that could have helped.

^His last album opened with 199k. It sold 1.1 million. That's good. Doesn't suck. Relatively low sales for an album with 5 country #1s, lots of promo (and weekly TV exposure on The Voice,) as well as heavy discounts throughout its run (still $4-5 at most digital retailers.) Blake Shelton is very much a radio-driven artist, rather than being sales-driven. His track record at Country radio is astounding (and sometimes questionable considering some of his releases) and virtually unparalleled by almost any other contemporary of his in the genre, barring Luke Bryan and Carrie Underwood. Sales-wise, though? He's definitely not the top contender of the Country genre; that's where people like Jason Aldean, Bryan, Underwood, and Florida Georgia Line triumph him, amongst a few others. But yes, BRINGING BACK THE SUNSHINE is an especially hard bomb in comparison to his previous effort, Based On A True Story..., though. This album was kind of just...thrown out there without a lot of people expecting it, and I think that could be part of the reason as to why the sales have been abominable in comparison to his last effort's. He didn't (and usually doesn't) allow any hype to build in between his album releases. I don't understand this approach that him and his label always take, either. It's not like he's ever lacking in being present to the public eye when he's been on every single season of "The Voice" since its origin.

Leann Rimes, Darius Rucker, some christian artists, Idina Menzel, and Seth McFarlane. I don't know if any popstars with holiday releases this year (unless the Mariah rumor is true)

Usually by now the frontrunners for top Christmas albums start to emerge I think this is one example of how labels just aren't too interested in releasing albums this year. The album release schedule has been so light. No Adele, Rihanna... Kendrick and Kanye don't even have release dates! It's Nov. 11th. Getting back on topic: Buble's Xmas album is supposedly being re-released.

Alan Jackson's Xmas album from 2002 is supposed to get reissued too.
White Christmas is getting a new Blu-Ray/CD release for its diamond anniversary.
