Currently being featured on the front page of iTunes in Canada as a "new single". Currently #22 on the overall chart there. Going to leave it in the non-radio singles forum for now in case it's not the next single. Wouldn't mind this as a single. It has more of a summer feel to it though, so now wouldn't be the best time to utilize it. But maybe they have to to get their buzz up somewhat since they're pretty much DOA this era.
And people said Nickelback sounds the same on every song...

Probably the next single (I'd guess for the rock formats) - Republic has it included in their song list for the iHeartRadio Summit.

(Did you get the wrong song Kurt? lol) No, this just doesn't really seem that pop(/HAC)-friendly to me considering the other options previously mentioned in the Jingle Blitz programming. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It's not bad, though! p.s. who's the female vocalist on this? My mind naturally jumped to Lolo, but it doesn't quite sound like her.

This wouldn't have a good ride on Active at all considering "Million Miles an Hour" is struggling after a fast start (been stuck at #14 for nearly a month now), and this is fairly poppy. This seems more Pop friendly to me, but not really HAC. This is actually their best chance at a Pop hit (or the disastrous track with Flo Rida), but I don't imagine this doing much if "What Are You Waiting For?" barely scrapped the Top 30 on their core format. The female vocalist is Ali Tamposi.

A music video is in the works. There are castings going around right now. Also, I think Nigel Dick is directing. He tweeted a few days ago a description of a video he was working on, and it matches the casting description for the song. Casting: ETA: They start shooting next week according to an interview with Mike Kroeger.

This will be interesting. If they're gonna make any dent on the charts this would be the one.

Don't expect this to be a smash or anything, but are we sure the board is closed? Remember HAC (and country) adds spilling onto Tuesday during the week of Martin Luther King Day.

I've heard it once on HAC but that was probably a month ago. Still hoping it can make some kind of impact

13 total adds this week. Judging by that, I'm thinking they probably sent this for adds.

Reminds me alot of Finger Eleven "Paralyzer". That was huge on Pop and HOT AC charts as well as rock. Of course it ain't 2008, but this still a damn good feirce rock groove.

(Unless it got 15 adds this week), the adds date was indeed last week according to Republic Playbook.
Also Top 50 on Hot AC:
64 47 NICKELBACK She Keeps Me Up 166 43 123 0.355

Wow! They already have a vid for the song. Guess they have a lot of faith in the song? I like it . The 70s Disco vibe works for the song. Rollerskates, Hot backup singer and club girls .Man, Chad is somewhat of a chameleon whan it comes to style.

Yupp this is destined to be another complete flop. This is its (I think) 3rd straight week without picking up an add, its bullet has gone down for the past week or so (almost negative now; currently at 11), extremely low audience rate due to it being played mostly at night, and now the public opinion of this songs is shot with a lot of blogs jumping on the 'oh, Nickelback did something new for once, but let's hate it anyway' train. They are over and done with on Pop radio probably for forever unless they can pull something out of their asses (or Pop radio accepts Rock again).

Some music formatts wouldn't know a good song even if it came up and bit them in the ass.

I really hope that on the next album they just focus on Active rock, and cater more to them. Active has been more loyal to them over the years then Pop or Hot AC, so they should just accept their Hard Rock edge.

I hope they go back to just rock. I know me and the die hards (Curb,The State, SSU) would love it. But even in interviews they have said just doing rock songs now days is "hard for them" and would be "boring" to them. Thats why they have so many different styles of songs on recent albums. Since All The Right Reasons they have tried to keep there albums all the same format. A couple hard rock songs , a lot of ballads, funny rock song, and a few of the map style.

Well they've been doing the mix of the soft and heavy since 'All The Right Reasons'. I doubt they'll go full rock now, mainly because the band seems to like doing a mix of styles on each album. Could they lean more into the heavy stuff on the next album ? Possibly, but they'll have their pop ready songs also.

They've mastered the art of making good Pop and Rock songs alike. Why should they stop?

I fully expect them to go Active Rock on the next record. The Pop/CHR ship has sailed and the tour is bombing. Time to reconnect with fans and radio stations who gave up on them.

And now this has been removed from Republic Playbook. Guessing they'll try again with "Satellite" before they call it quits on the album.
