Here MMR stands for Mediabase Music Research. I just completed and sent over my new 2015 Mediabase agreement. I did read the agreement (which unfortunately I did not read last year :o) and I think this gives the answer as to why @jf816 lost his Mediabase access. Therefore, I want to save myself as well and want to keep my access since I do want to help you folks out.
I quote from the agreement except what is in parenthesis in marked cases and you will see *:
"Licensee shall utilize the Materials (*the services provided by Mediabase) solely for its own use and will not disseminate (*spread or give out) the Materials to third parties including but not limited to its parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies."
"Mediabase may suspend performance and terminate this Agreement in the event the Licensee is in breach of any warranty, term, condition, or covenant under this Agreement and fails to cure such breach within three days after written notice thereof. Mediabase may terminate this Agreement upon thirty days written notice at any time in its sole discretion."
"In the event Licensee desires to utilize the Data or any of the names, logos, artwork, trade names and service marks attributable to the System (*Mediabase Music Information System) and owned by Mediabase obtained from Selected Services (*the services my Mediabase Rep decides to give me) for promotional and/or marketing purposes, such shall be subject to Mediabase's prior written approval. Licensee acknowledges that the System, Selected Services, Data (*radio and music research information [*ie, Format Charts, 7-day Reports, YTD reports, etc]), Marks, any authorized access code(s) and any and all other materials relating to this Agreement (collectively, the "Material(s)") are all proprietary and confidential property and are valuable trade secrets of Mediabase ("Confidential Information"). Any unauthorized use or disclosure of Confidential Information is strictly prohibited, and except as required by process of law (*I imagine it is a situation such as if a radio station is owned by CBS Radio, the PD of the station must give the information to a person of CBS Radio because CBS Radio owns that station)
So in summary I or really anyone who has Mediabase is not allowed to publicly post Mediabase data, if you do you are subject to your account being terminated, UNLESS Mediabase gives you written permission to do so. Which I imagine that type of account costs more money!
So in a nutshell I will not be posting threads with information in them. I do encourage you all to PM me as I will explain more as to what I can and cannot do for you. I imagine that is most likely why Invince's account got thwarted, unless he didn't pay which is also a reason stated in the Agreement why your account would get terminated. It's unfortunate however, being a company they need to make money if everyone were to post the information all over the web it wouldn't mean as much. But PLEASE PM me as I may be able to do something for you!
