Makes sense - pop radio is all about Selena Gomez right now!

This was the most likely and predictable choice, and the most radio-friendly of the record, too so it's understandable why it got chosen. I'm glad it was, anyway.
"Got Love" should be 3rd.

I had a dream last night that they made a radio remix of this, but all that was different was that they added bells to the beat. :/
I'm concerned the public might think all of her songs are about drugs, but this is a good pick. I'd take Talking Body or Timebomb next please!

Timebomb will never be a single, although it has the best hook on the whole album. The verses would never do for radio.

I live for that hook, but the verses prevent me from enjoying the song fully or replaying it a lot. And the production, the way it builds up to the hook. I get that the verses are...different, but the way that they tie in with the song as a whole is perfection.

I love this song but it's no "Talking Body." Hopefully this smashes so "Talking Body" can follow.

This is a really good song. I hope this becomes her second #1 on Pop radio in the future. This should be a successful single.

I think it is as good as "Habits (Stay High)", but more immediate. Love it.

This is a really good song. I hope this becomes her second #1 on Pop radio in the future. This should be a successful single. Remember, Tove Lo is imported from Sweden. The fact that she had a #1 U.S. hit is pretty surprising, but there is little to no incentive for American Radio to give a #1 hit to a Swede where half of the royalties are being dumped in another country and music industry's pocket. Most likely, this will make a small dent in the top 40 and the Hot 100 and then disappear. I don't think Tove Lo is going to pull a Roxette or an Ace of Base (or even a Robyn) she's more of a 'The Cardigans' and 'Icona Pop.' Remember them? They were from Sweden too...and now they are back there for good, doing nothing but eating Swedish meatballs. But if she were to remix this song with a featured rap by that swedish muppet, then that would be another story.

There have been multiple European crossovers recently (and even other countries such as Canada and New Zealand), so I don't know what you're talking about... Tove Lo can write actual good songs and not that shit Icona Pop called music... I think this will smash, judging from her chart success in other countries, people like her, and I know people here in Oklahoma of all places and I hear people singing "Not on Drugs". I would wait until this song starts before I doubt her, I think they will give her a chance, and I believe that people will react positively to this... And if I'm wrong, well then you can say "I told you so"...

You are right! One hit from two Norwegians, and two hits from a girl from New Zealand totally prove that Tove Lo will sustain a career here in music. Has nothing to do with the fact that she is better than Icona Pop (who honestly couldn't speak English for crap: "You are a Seventease and I am a nine ay tease beach! I' s don car! I laugh eat!" Rita Ora is doing fantastically well with her UK produced pop music. CHARLIE XXX's new song isn't going to be anything more than a regional hit and she'll dissapear after this. Iggy Azalea is American-produced and signed firstly to an American label...so her new crappy song might be another smash. :/ This isn't the 60's, 80's or 90's. America loves American music. And why shouldn't we, when the Europeans are producing all of their crap anyway! It's a win-win!
Plus, Tove Lo isn't a platinum blonde. That will also harm her career here in the States. We also dislike people who are "not on drugs." That is why we like Kesha. Kesha is the greatest and clearly the best singer of our era. She will come back with a string of #1 hits produced by AMERICA'S SWEDE Max Martin. We stole him from there.

not even close to my favorite by her, but given the amazing reception this song has been getting since i discovered her, this was the obvious and right choice that should be followed up by the more instant (imo) talking body. this shouldn't have a problem going at least top 20, and hopefully it might even be another #1 for her. radio can fuck up sometimes, though, so my fingers are crossed.

She will come back with a string of #1 hits produced by AMERICA'S SWEDE Max Martin. We stole him from there. Lorde only sent two songs (and actually stuck to promoting them) and they were both #1 on pop, and she is in the top 20 on iTunes right now... Blah... Rita Oral is someone that the US will never give a shit about... and can you blame us? Charli released the wrong song for this, and I'm sure not everyone is sold on her... We'll see how she does in the future, but if she doesn't that doesn't mean anything tbh. Iggy is still Australian, so... who cares? Um, I would argue that Americans are becoming more and more diverse, have you even paid attention to the pop hits this year? Ugh. Ke$ha was completely irrelevant to this conversation, not sure why we felt the need to bring her up... Also, are we forgetting Adele, Sam Smith, One Direction, Ellie Goulding, Ed Sheeran, and Zedd among others??? All of which have came out recently and have had successful singles recently. Also, Tove Lo has already garnered a 2nd top 20 pop hit with "Heroes", so I see no reason to think that they won't give this one a chance. Next.

U.K. is a given. I am talking about real Europe. Rita Oral has a good nice Brenda Holloway-ish voice. She just needs a hit song. Ke$ha. You don't love Ke$ha?? But she's so talented...and clearly more American than any other European could be. Every octave from Ke$sha is a gift from baby Jesus

I love Ke$ha's music, but come on... #trollteas Anyways, I could see Tove Lo being a big star, she has the buzz, she has the talent, and I believe that she could really become something if they do this right!

The version on Republic Playbook has a new mix, which is pretty much just extra drums throughout the whole song. Not a fan of it, it ruins the mood of the album version. Hopefully that's not the mix that gets sent to radio.

Yes, because radio programmers totally look at an artist's home country as a factor to determine whether or not they'll play her. Come fucking on now.

Nevermind....Tove Lo is the new Agnetha Faltskog! I don't know or give a fuck about who that is, but the fact that Tove Lo is from Sweden means jack shit to radio programmers. Fucking Christ...
