Not too keen on Ne-Yo, but this is pretty hot. I like this song quite a bit.

Up to #27 on iTunes now and climbing rapidly. Hopefully this could stick it out after the album release hype. I want this to do better than "Time of Our Lives", but it's not looking likely. :/

I just heard it and surprisingly it's good. I'm curious to see how it performs.

Is there a pop edit that takes out the Juicy J Verse? I haven't had the chance to hear it on the radio here yet but on the playlist on my CHRs website just lists Ne-Yo. No, but there should be. So I end up buying the song because I heard it on the radio and listened to it on YouTube and loved it. The music was cool and so was the production. Didn't like Juicy J's part at all, but I decided I could put up with it because it was so short. Well... after buying it I listen to it and get the wonderful surprise that Juicy J has a verse all to himself in the beginning. And what a terrible verse it is. If I knew that existed, I probably wouldn't have bought the song. And what is up with that baby type noise in the background? It sounds like it's saying "daaa" or something?? It's extremely aggravating. I do still like the actual song, but those are the two major problems I have with it.

Callout scores are in for this. And they're abysmal! Positive: 49.3% (Yes, less than half of those surveyed like this) Favorite: 16.2% Negative: 31.3% (Tied for 11th most hated actually, with "Centuries", but once you go above 30% Negative, it's pretty bad) Granted, this does currently have the lowest Familiarity of songs that are ranked (61.2%)...but come on. No way in hell will the outlook on this improve enough to justify keeping it around for a while - yank this turd now, radio! ETA: OK apparently scores for this were in last week - Pos and Fav both dropped from last week, while Neg went up. Yeah...get this off the air, now!

I love this song, but I can see how others would hate it. That "Yaaaa" part gets annoying to many people, and Juicy's part was also a lowlight.

I to was a little surprised with how well this has been doing at Top 40. I don't think they should drop it just because there's some who don't like it when there's apparently many who do. Are these survey's for call out scores always accurate?

Callout surveys are representative of the radio audience at large, with segmenting done by format, age, and gender.
The scores I posted, however, are from the composite of Pop listeners (i.e. no segmenting beyond format). In other words...the general Pop audience isn't liking this being played on the radio.
Compare this with Blank Space, Uptown Funk, Thinking Out Loud - all songs where over 70% of listeners are saying they like hearing it on the radio. This song doesn't even have half the audience saying they're into it. Furthermore, song sales do not dictate how it will perform on radio. This gets said time and again, but people seem to love ignoring that fact. Among other songs, "Anaconda" is one that "should have smashed" if one looks at sales alone.

You know, I really didn't like this the first time I heard it. Then the more I heard it and deciding to listen to it when I kept hearing it on the radio, I started to like it. It isn't as bad as I thought. Ne-Yo does have good hits.
