I know it will never happen, but now would be the perfect time to release a final version of the song. With Kendrick's new album and Bad Blood remix, and Gaga being away from the media, it would be a good single to just throw out there and see if it sticks.

Urban plays whatever they want anyway, and it def doesn't care if it's playing multiple songs by the same artist (if they're big enough-- and Kendrick is). Besides, 'Bad Blood' isn't distracting from Kendrick's era at all. It's just more exposure for him on the pop format. It'll never happen though. The song was rejected by Kendrick's management because Gaga wouldn't compromise. Her team would never be able to release it.

Gaga would make a cute hook singer, but she needs to inject more personality into it. Her vocal was kind of sleep sleep on this song, I know she can do better.

This can't be accurate, can it? Fernando Garibay just retweeted it
Wikipedia says more than 6 million copies worldwide, which is still awesome.

I thought it was 8 million. I'm interested in real figures, because so many outlets report different numbers.

I think the numbers should be between 7-8 million. Digging up old internet articles, I saw 6 million back in 2012...so it has to be between 7-8 now. Hmm maybe they added singles ? Wikipedia claims BTW (the single) has sold over 8.2 million copies worldwide...so, even if we take the conservative figure of 6 million albums + 8 million copies of BTW (the song), that brings us to 14 million...and we aren't even counting Judas, Edge of Glory, and Marry the Night yet.

You wouldn't count a single sale as being equal to the album sale. I think Billboard counts singles sales as 10 singles = 1 album, so maybe that's where this total came from?

Yeah not entirely sure where that figure comes from. Sales should be around 7-8, but certifications wouldn't get it up to 13ish, but if we add singles that is too low of a number. It is either a wrong figure, someone is being insanely liberal with shipments vs sales, or maybe they are doing the new 10 singles=1 album formula.

And TD has been consistently selling but it's still in the 6.5-range. BTW is not over 7M yet from what I've read.

Listen to Lady Gaga before she was lady gaga Meet Stefani GermanottaBefore the meat dresses and the Monster Balls, there was a girl, Stefani Germanotta, who dreamed of being a singer. After being signed to a label in 2006, she adopted the nickname βGagaβ and began developing the larger-than-life stage persona that would later inspire an entire generation of Monsters. Though weβre all familiar with Gagaβs bigger hits βApplause,β βBorn This Way,β and βLoveGame,β we can now rewind time and catch a glimpse of who Gaga was before she became, well, Gaga. Thanks to some archive-digging by the Huffington Post, you can now listen to 11 rare Stefani Germanotta tracksβreadily available for the first time ever. (Note: Some songs have been heard before, but they haven't been accessible like this.) The early songs possess the same upbeat, poppy quality of her new music, but be warned: they lack her now-signature deep, robust vocals. The lyrics also skirt some of the more complex topics sheβs addressed in recent years (hello, βBorn This Wayβ)βunsurprisingly resembling songs like βBoys Boys Boysβ and βEh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)β off her 2008 release βThe Fame.β So Lady Gaga fans, get ready, because this is Mother Monster like youβve never heard her before. I'd heard the Red & Blue EP, but not the other stuff. 'Dirty Ice Cream' sounds like Ke$ha's old stuff.
I really like the stuff on the New Material EP (if that's the official title). Reminds me of Liz Phair a bit. Loved 'Wunderland'.

Single certifications include streaming. I think it's over 5 million in actual sales, though.

Performed a surprise performance Ronnie Scott's right after the 2nd C2C show in London was cancelled. She needs that stage! She also caused legit chaos.

Bad Romance has to be the most legendary #2-peaking single in the history of any chart in any country.

I didn't really like that performance of Imagine. Me either. The song just isn't suited for her voice...let alone that the song is completely over-performed. Should have done something inspirational that is a little more original.

That '09 performance was fantastic. I way prefer that to the operatic stuff she's been doing lately. I'm not a fan of this whole 'she's not just eccentric, she can actually sing' narrative that has been playing out.

The positive press around her talent is good, especially after the beating she took for about 2 years, and it gives them some sliver of buzz for new material. It just doesn't seem like much because her career is in somewhat of a boring state overall for most right now.
On another note, I saw her and Tony at Radio City Music Hall tonight (which is far far more beautiful when you're there. Such a stunning theatre, Tony commented on it too as well.)
They were both great, but it was obvious plainly obvious that it was 2 solo acts sharing the stage than anything else. Almost all of the best parts came during their solos. She got a major standing ovation for La Vie En Rose and he did as well when he put the mic down and just sang without it. She got a lot of applause when she was talking about her family, who were there, and Tony too when he sang Sinatra songs in commemoration of it being his 100th birthday later this year), but again those both happened when they were on the stage alone.
Also, she looked incredible in almost all the outfits. Can't believe a year ago she was still doing the whitegirl dreads and that Aphrodite wig.

Saw her and Tony in CT last night and they were wonderful. Gaga was sassy and fiesty as always! She dedicated 'Lush Life' to the LGBT youth after the Supreme Court ruling.
