No way would Gaga allow Diane to saddle her with some cheesy, sappy ballad. If they really are doing something together, I'm sure it will be good.

Gaga is not like some other pop acts. She always makes her voice be heard and speaks up for her brand. I think she has a clear idea of what she wants so hopefully she helps steer Diane Warren instead of the other way around.

I hope ArtPop flopping doesn't make Gaga believe that she has to adapt her style to what the other gerls are doing. Gaga is best when she does her thing but keeps it relatable.

Wasn't ARTPOP kind of what everyone else was doing, though? A pumped up EDM album? She even had a will.i.am production right when he was starting to have mild success as a solo artist and people were willing to work with him.
I'm not saying any of that to drag her, because the album wasn't bad for what it was; but I mean, it was a very commercial album.

I don't know after listening to ARTPOP over and over that I would say its quite like what everyone else is doing. I don't know how properly say it but its overall self seems far less basic than most albums I have listened to in 2013/2014. My best way of expressing it is she puts a "Drag" spin on her music. Nothing new or groundbreaking but still something different?

She still did enough that whatever made it commercial was canceled out with other aspects. Kept it interesting to say the least.

I don't mean that it didn't stand out. Part of the draw of any artist is being able to make virtually anything their own. Rather, what I meant was the album was fairly in-line with trends and everything-- which, I got the impression she was trying to come back successfully with this album, so it made sense to do that.

"I want the fans to be surprised. But I will just tell you that it’s a wonderful, soul-searching experience. And it’s very unlike the last album in that way. I made that album on the road. ARTPOP was, you know, the acid-making record. And this record is like — my old self as a cadaver. And I’m just, I’m operating on my old self."Okay.

Does this mean more TFM-type music?

I need more TFM style tracks specifically Alejandro and Monster. Those are dance pop jams that are uniquely Gaga yet not pretentious

The last thing she needs is more of the same.
She needs to put out something like what "Dope" sounded like before she effed it up.

I have yet to be disappointed with any of Gaga's releases. Most recently I've been enjoying, LoveGame, Scheiße, Judas, Heavy Metal Lover, ARTPOP, MANiCURE, Monster, Dance in the Dark, Bad Romance, Teeth, G.U.Y. (which wasn't immediate for me), Sexx Dreams (Itunes Festival Performance), Applause and Telephone.
If anything, I would say that her single choices aren't always the best but it is what it is. I have faith that whatever she is cooking up will be good.

Alejandro still makes me wet. I'd love that sound taken to the next level.

I'm really torn. I love her recent more "edgier" stuff but at the same time I want her to be "big" again.

Listening to the G.U.Y. remixes for my 2014 Workout playlist got me so pumped for some new Gagis.

I'm not saying any of that to drag her, because the album wasn't bad for what it was; but I mean, it was a very commercial album. I don't think Artpop sounds much like Prism for example. It came out at a time when the other Pop girls were moving on from EDM, in a post-Adele moment where Pop radio accepts more organic sounds. I'm using Katy Perry as an example because they released around the same time. One can already see how different "Roar" and "Applause" are sonically. It is a commercial album, no doubt about it. But it's commercial in the sense that it tries to capture the essence of Gaga's early days (while still trying to be an updated version of that), not that it follows Pop radio's trends.

Gagadaily posted this Telephone mix featuring Britney on their Facebook. Not sure if there is a link elsewhere...

Gagadaily posted this Telephone mix featuring Britney on their Facebook. Not sure if there is a link elsewhere... It leaked via Britney's network of fans. It was posted on soundcloud and reposted all over tumblr. I'm on mobile so I can't link it, but it's not hard to find. It's probably a later version of Britney's original demo. The final is obviously more polished, and it wasn't a good take on Britney's vocals, but it's not bad. Listening to it and The Fame in the car the other night made me realize how boring it is without her. Her new material doesn't do a lot for me, but it was always exciting at least. Looking forward to the new album.

Dope will ALWAYS be one of my favorites from her, on a purely personal level. Those lyrics and slurry delivery get me EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

This excites me since they generally bring out the best in each other. It's no coincidence that the bulk of RedOne's best songs are with Gaga.
