Can someone explain me why Marvin Gaye is out of Hot 100? It was out of top 50 before 20 weeks completed.. Exactly. It lost ground to a position out of the top 50 and charted for longer than 20 weeks. You answered your own question.

Oh, I thought one song go out of the Hot 100 when stay 20 weeks or more on the top 50, and then fall out. Marvin Gaye was #61 last week.

Why can Thriller re-enter the Hot 100 but a song like Drink You Away cannot?

A catalog track (2+ years old) can only debut under one of two conditions:
-It never was promoted and gets an official promotional run (i.e. Come With Me Now, which began charting 3 years after release) -It gets a sudden burst in activity. Note that it must also reach the top 50 to do this.
Thriller had sales from Halloween and ephemeral streaming of the music video keeping it strong and it landed at #45. Drink You Away got a sales boost, but that was the only thing going for it; no official music video, the live video doesn't match, and an old song isn't about to be serviced to radio. The points it got would've landed it around the #55-#65 range judging by its position on Recurrent songs, so it's not on the Hot 100.
