It looks like the label strategy is a big splash on Grammy week with hopes of a top 10... And not longevity necessarily. I guess it's fair given the ageist environment, but I was still hoping that they try a longer term strategy, starting with radio push now.
I hope the video is more like Hung up than Celebration...

This song deserves to go top 10 at the very least. I am really hoping they can get it there after the Grammy's. They should pull out all the stops and use all different kinds of promotion.
It just gets better the more you hear it. Infectious and totally relatable. They need to give this a great video.

Finally listed as impacting Feb. 10 on AllAccess, but still no indication that any real push to US radio has begun. I have to believe the original plan was a big, splashy radio deal to coincide with the Grammys, and even after the leaks, her team still sees this as their best option. If a deal is indeed in the works, I wonder if it will start this Friday and lead up to the Grammy performance, or if it will start the Monday after the show. And the video could drop at the same time. Exciting stuff - after what felt like a vast void of nothingness the entire month of January, we are now just a week away from the onslaught!

Regarding the lack of an ongoing push, remember that Interscope did soft service this to radio when it came out in December...and there was absolutely no interest. I think Billboard ran an article saying it got only like 10 first (tracking) week plays from the entire pop panel.
Yes, it was the holiday season, but that's still an unbelievably bad initial reception. The song + the fact that it was Madonna's comeback meant absolutely nothing to radio programmers.
The only viable strategy is to work the Grammys angle. If it's made to feel like a big deal in conjunction with that show, it might have a chance.

Being brutally honest, this would probably need an amazing Grammy performance, a music vid that goes viral, and a remix with a big featured artist to have any shot on CHR at this point. Too bad they just won't play it, because they should.

Who cares, I'll be happy if this makes the Top 40 of CHR. I'm more excited about the fact were going to get an amazing album of 25 songs.

I agree with botoxic, a radio deal just seems the right thing to do and why not.? The Grammys, the video, a radio deal ( which won't hurt it. ) these three forces may and can give us another top 10. Go for it.

I hear this every Fri and Sat in the club and it sounds great, but it is a little weird when it's played among all the super popular hits. So in that sense, I can understand it's rise on the Dance Chart.

This song is too good to be ignored. It has to be a top ten hit!

Since there will be no adds!! Madonna must give an amazing performance. For the sake of this wonderful track and for the next day press. Which should generate a ton of publicity and help the song explode on Itunes putting it in the Top Ten for a least 1 week and becomming her 39th Top Ten in America!!

It seems like the label is putting all their eggs in one basket again. For "Give Me All Your Luvin" it was the Super Bowl and now for "Living For Love" it's the Grammys. It would be nice to see support after the initial week but I guess that is asking too much for an older female artist.

Feb. 10 is still on, as the All Access mailer has it as going for adds on that date. Barring a radio promo and unbelievable post-Grammys/-video feedback, I doubt it will get much action.

"Living for Love" was most likely officially serviced to US radio today, as it is now listed under Cool New Music and streamable at AllAccess. It is currently their 8th most downloaded track (for use by the music industry).

(Unless it translates to adds) I guess this just shows Radio PDs are interested in hearing the track.

Oh so it is the PD's listening to the song….I would imagine it is good for the artist if the song seems good, however with Madonna and her age it might be more the PDs being curious because its Madonna but still reluctant to play because of the young audience.

Possibly. I'm not 100% sure if that's accurate, so maybe someone else could confirm/correct that.

Yes, the AllAccess industry downloads won't necessarily lead to adds, but at least it's a sign that PD's and MD's are interested in spending more time with the song, perhaps taking it to their new music meetings, etc. LFL is now #7.
