^Not really- look at all the adds BDS reported the last few weeks.
In any event, even though it's a low audience, it's getting a lot more play now than it was before Feb. 14.

Guys... LFL is it when it comes to any potential US chart success. Those hoping for "Ghosttown" to do well, a few facts: - Madonna has not had a non-lead single outperform a lead single since "Bedtime Stories" 20 years ago (or 18 years if you decide to count "Evita') - Madonna has not had a non-lead single hit the top 40 since "Music" nearly 15 years ago - Madonna has only had one song without features hit the Hot 100 in the past 9 years ("Celebration" nearly 6 years ago -- you can make it two if you count "Give it 2 Me" as Pharrell wasn't credited despite providing vocals and being in the video) I'd love for Madonna to have a smash again but if she can't do it with "Living for Love," it ain't gonna happen with "Ghosttown" either. How long has it been since she's released an AC-friendly song that even non-fans would think was 'age-appropriate'? Was it Take a Bow? I think a power ballad like 'Ghost Town' might not follow the other songs into oblivion. Yes, it's a long-shot, but you never know what songs will click with audiences. The Power of Goodbye

This is pretty much done. I'm very surprised didn't even charted on the hot 100.
she should try another single before dropping the album. A good video maybe maybe give her a chance.
In this case i don't think we could blame ageism, at least not on radio, because the truth is the song (which is not bad, and in fact is way better than Give me all your luvin, didn't get much impact on sales).
Madonna always was ahead of her time, and lately she is very behind. To be honest i think she will get a better oportunity if she'll do something people is not doing (or at least not doing much) like an accoustic ballad. I think a song like Secret will be received way better than anything she is releasing lately. Of course she is Madonna and doesn't have nothing to prove, so she can do whatever she wants

The Dance/Club chart is probably the most irrelevant anyway.

Per the AT40 thread (just posted), it's this weekend's Buzz Song. So it'll swing back a bit on Sunday and Monday (show play), but that won't matter if the losses aren't stopping.

Yep, out of the top 50 now. Will probs make a resurgence with the AT40 play but it's looking like this is it.

Madonna must be seething this hasn't charted on the hot 100. A first since "Everybody" from back in '83 (although she was an unknown then). I'm sure she'll get a feature for her next lead single to at least chart on Billboard.

She just needs to let go of hit singles and promote the shit out of her albums.

Dreams- LFL charted on Billboard, just not the Hot 100.
The single's showing isn't all that surprising, given the circumstances. Couple that with all the other factors working against her, and, unfortunately, tracks with no featurings are not likely to burn up the charts.
Maybe she'll see some increased streaming activity next week with the album release.

HoldTight, She's promoting her album more than usual isn't she???? Someone said she's going to be on Ellen for a full week and is going to be interviewed on the Today Show Mon (I believe). Is she performing at the IHeart Raido Awards? I saw her name fly across the screen when I saw the commercial for it.

Uh, no offense but Madonna's social media postings and imitation of youngers artists would indicate otherwise. And just what does Mariah have to do with any of it? Back to school we go.

Yes, no reason to discuss other acts in that context. Unfortunately, that practice also occurs in non-Madonna act threads, too, though.
I will have to listen to AT 40 this weekend. :)

Looks like they'll be pushing Ghosttown. Madonna's IG account says "coming soon". Makes sense to push a second single ASAP since they're job is to sell concert tickets now.

For all the hate the MDNA album and "Give Me All Your Luvin Got" it looks like both will be more successful than Rebel Heart and "Living for Love". #hindsightis2020

Sometimes I feel this entire board would strongly benefit from an Economics 101 course. Anyhow, after a few listens, I think Ghosttown, Hold Tight, Inside Out, Rebel Heart, and Addicted are my top favorites. Underneath the fat, the best parts could probably make her strongest album since Ray Of Light. As for this song, I still hear 2006 David Guetta way more than I should in that drop.

I told the Madonna stans this was not going to cut it as the lead single. And they told me I was wrong, that she needed something 'anthemic'. An anthem to who? None are buying, none are streaming, none are listening. This is DISASTROUS. It's the reason she's doing so much promo (which is good for us fans at least). She's joined the club of Bruce, Prince, etc who cannot get hits for the life of them. Oh well, was bound to happen at some point.
I still think "Unapologetic Bitch" was the obvious hit from this album and ought to have led the charge with a provocative music video. Lead singles need to be a statement and need to grab you.

^^^It was not going to happen…..what artist in their 50s are getting top 40 airplay? It happens to all artist….Madonna managed to delay that longer than almost everyone.
Did not matter what she released.
