The burn rate on some songs is much faster than others, but which ear worms despite a lot of play still get you going?
Some of mine so far:
OneRepublic - Counting Stars One Direction - What Makes You Beautiful John Legend - All of Me

Considering songs within the last year, as I'm most prone to be sick of them, this list includes: "Timber," "Come With Me Now," "Boom Clap," "Ain't It Fun," "Sail" (at least partially because I hated it during its Alternative run), and all things Black Keys.

fancy and all about that bass. also habits (not because it has a high burn rate - i've noticed longevity for it in most personal charts here - but just because of the sheer amount of time i've listened to it).

The burn rate on some songs is much faster than others, but which ear worms despite a lot of play still get you going? Some of mine so far: OneRepublic - Counting Stars One Direction - What Makes You Beautiful These two. Confining the topic to recent CHR hits, there's also "Demons" (Imagine Dragons), "Rude" (Magic!), "Latch" (Disclosure/Sam Smith), "Good Time" (Owl City/Carly Rae Jepson), "Story of My Life" (1D), "Everybody Talks" (Neon Trees), and anything by Fun., Adele, Ed Sheeran, and Fall Out Boy. After getting tired of them due to overplay, I like "Locked Out of Heaven", "Blurred Lines", and anything by Maroon 5 (including their current hits) and Macklemore/Ryan Lewis more than I did a year or so ago. I like "All About That Bass" more than a few months ago; the chorus was a fast-burning earworm for me, but I like the verse melody and overall structure and message of the song enough that it's kept and increased my interest. "Sweater Weather" (the Neighbourhood) and "She Looks So Perfect" (5SOS) are favourites of mine, but I don't think either was overplayed enough for me to get sick of (maybe "Sweater Weather" was at Alternative.)

"Royals" and "Counting Stars" are what immediately come to mind for me. No matter how much pop radio and my workplace play them, I will still bop along to them.

Definitely have to agree with "Royals." Every time it comes on, I have to jam to it. It's a must! I mean, there's a reason it holds the record for longest stay on my personal chart.

"Habits", "Lights", "Stay With Me", "Pompeii", "Do I Wanna Know?", "Radioactive", "Summertime Sadness", and "Partition" were the first few to come to mind. I've played most of them to death but I still love each and every one.

Leona's entire discography - both released and unreleased.
I never tire of it even though I've played many songs 100+ 200+ 300+ etc times each. My queen *bows*.
