See, I'm fine with the rest of the song. Sorta like how she said "Better Homes and Garden" and not "Gardens" in "The House That Built Me".

By the by, anyone else bothered ny the fact that she says Tony "Lomas" and not Tony Lamas? Yep. That's always really annoyed me, but I haven't thought about it much lately because I turn the station as soon as this one comes on. I literally cannot stand this song. Amen.

Yea, this song seems to be struggling on the charts. But, Miranda fans, fear not, she'll win her 5 or 6th straight ACM vocalist of the year award soon. That always makes up for songs that don't reach the top, which lately is getting really hard for country females to achieve.

I'm really hoping by the CMAs, Kacey will be able to dethrone her.

Audra says "Lomas" in the original, so Miranda was probably just remaining faithful to her rendition.

Nope, it'll be Miranda. Sorry. It's not because I think she deserves it, but she's got the votes. That's the way it is nowadays.

I want Kacey to win it, and I think she will, but she's going to need "Biscuits" to do very well (which I expect to happen) and her new album is going to need to come out fairly soon (she says it will) and get the same kind of fanfare her debut got. I really believe the industry would love to give it to her, but she hasn't quite reached a point where they can justify it yet. We saw the same thing with Miranda when she was starting out: the industry nominated her for things and even gave her an Album of the Year award for Crazy Ex-Girlfriend before she had broken through.

Giving Kacey Musgraves the win is more justifiable than some of the wins that Lambert has received in the past (soon to be) six years.

Well, I'm pulling for Ran because even though it's the same crap, different year, I can't pull for anyone else. She's my girl!!
I do like Kacey though and I think she's so onto something different. People are noticing; industry insiders and listeners. I'm just not sure she'd get enough votes because I think the ACM will want to play it "safe" like usual.

This has most likely peaked. I do think ML can move up two spots to #17 next week when Cole Swindell and possibly Chris Young go recurrent, but this has already reached #16 and from the looks of it this won't be hanging around long enough for an opening in the top 15. "Little Red Wagon" will miss the peak position of "All Kinds of Kinds" by one space, making this her lowest-peaking single on the airplay charts since "Dead Flowers" which peaked at #37. I find this just a bit ironic since the two are such opposites.
Sony has really been mishandling their artists lately. Some have suggested that even if this didn't go top 10 it'd have still been a good single choice if sales ended up really high, but a song that peaks this low on the airplay chart would have to be a really phenomenal seller (maybe similar to "Girl Crush" or "Like a Wrecking Ball") to end up selling more units than a song like "Smokin' and Drinkin'" that might not have sold as well but would have peaked at twice the levels of airplay this has gotten. If Miranda can't start getting top 5's more consistently again I don't know how much longer I can consider her an A-lister.

The reason she's had some shaky radio success are the single choices lately. I kind of understood the logic of releasing "Somethin' Bad" last spring but releasing "Little Red Wagon" as the follow up just didn't make enough sense. I think most knew it would sell well, but a peak in the teens was brought up by multiple posters here including myself as this one was just too different and polarizing for a top 5 or top 10 finish. The industry and radio loves her though and she has a huge fan base now, along with being young enough and married to one of the biggest stars in the genre, so she'll most likely keep her "A-lister" status for a little while longer. This song had a pretty nasty update today losing 518k in audience and 26 spins, but I need to see a bigger sample of days to know when this one is officially done. I agree though, it likely won't get too much higher as it has obviously hit a brick wall.

Considering how much promo this song has gotten (Grammys, Fashion Rocks, 2014 CMA Fest TV Special, that Elle Magazine [it was Elle, yes?] piece pairing with the release of the video), a peak lower than AKOK is pretty abysmal.

To be fair no one watched that Fashion Rocks special and it and the CMA Fest performance was also aired several months before it was released to radio. And it's sold pretty well and I think it'll certainly be better-remembered than "All Kinds of Kinds" which kind of came-and-went with no real impact. I get what you're saying though. It is frustrating that this hasn't done better in airplay. I really was hoping this could've found a way into the Top 10. I've got my fingers crossed that "Another Sunday in the South" is next and it's a big fat #1 hit with country radio. The fact that she hasn't had one yet this era is unbelievable.

It's strange when a critically acclaimed album has its singles struggle so much on country radio. It's a man's world out there on country radio. With the exception of Carrie, women are having a tough time getting to at least the top 10 or better yet 5. But, vocalist award number 6 is around the corner, so that's a plus.

Yikes. I knew this one would struggle, but I didn't think it would struggle this much. Not even a top 15 peak is pretty bad for an artist of Miranda's stature, even when you consider country radio's female problems. It was definitely a mistake to release this after "Somethin' Bad" - the two are just way too similar. Does anyone know why they scrapped "Smokin' & Drinkin'," which I believe was originally supposed to be the album's 3rd single instead of this one? I've got my fingers crossed that "Another Sunday in the South" is next and it's a big fat #1 hit with country radio. The fact that she hasn't had one yet this era is unbelievable. That's my favourite song on the album, but I've always considered it to be more of an album cut than a radio single. I'd love to hear it on the radio, though. Or "Hard Staying Sober". Do we know what she's performing at the ACMs?

What ever happened to "Priscilla" being a single at some point? I could have sworn I heard that. I love all her songs so truthfully it doesn't matter to me. I do think "Smokin' & Drinkin'" would do really well too. Maybe they didn't release it right now because of "Girl Crush?"

making this her lowest-peaking single on the airplay charts since "Dead Flowers" which peaked at #37. I just have to say that I still love "Dead Flowers" and hate that it didn't perform better. It might be my favorite single from that album, actually (that or "Only Prettier").

I hope they still release it at some point, probably as the fifth single (if they still end up going that deep).

While I think Priscilla is a decent song, I just don't seeing it being a good single. I can easily see that one being described as "polarizing", and I think it's in her best interest to release something more safe and conventional, even though it pains me to ever have to say that about a musical artist. Another Sunday In The South and Smokin' And Drinkin' seem like no-brainier choices to me for the next single, and I think their both high quality songs as well.

Does anyone here like "Platinum"? That may be my second favorite on the album (besides "Automatic") and I think it would be pretty safe for radio. Love that guitar solo in the middle!
Also really like "All That's Left" but not a radio choice at all.
Not a fan of "Smokin' and Drinkin'" and "Priscilla" may be the most 'Miranda' choice left as a single.

Oh yeah, I definitely don't think "Priscilla" should be next, after the last two singles. I do think it could be a hit following a more conventional fourth single though.

If they're dead-set on avoiding "Smokin' & Drinkin'" (considering they pulled it before), then they need to release either "Girls" or "Platinum" next (I'd prefer the former, but I'm fine with either), and close out the era with "Another Sunday in the South". Three of the most Country radio-friendly singles left on the album.

Don't know if this is the start of the bottom falling out on "Little Red Wagon" but it's pretty safety say this one will go no higher as it's now lost over 900k in audience the past two days on MB (400k today).

I always figured they'd release "Priscilla" at some point, but I'd like to see it as the fifth single rather than fourth. I'm actually not convinced "Platinum" would do that well on radio, though I do like the song so I wouldn't be upset if they released it. I think the best choices remaining are "Hard Staying Sober," "Another Sunday in the South," "Priscilla" and "Smokin' & Drinkin'" (but I assume the last one is a no go).
I'm actually quite glad to see so many people pulling for "Another Sunday in the South". That one has been my favourite song off the album since I first heard it, but I never considered it as a potential single until you all started mentioning it. The more I think about it, the more I think it would do very well on radio.
