Wow. That is a big drop in one day. I wonder if Brit's team is thinking Iggy is too toxic right? Pulling back? or is the radio stations?

Britney's team needs to place focus away from Britney for her own hits. Tom's Diner could be a smash. Go that route.

Wow. That is a big drop in one day. I wonder if Brit's team is thinking Iggy is too toxic right? Pulling back? or is the radio stations? It's #53 on iTunes and performing poorly on radio. It's the public that isn't feeling it, not her label/radio.

PLUS, besides the performance, where is the promo?!
ETA: Pulse for damn sure takes the fun out of a song.

Britney's team needs to place focus away from Britney for her own hits. Tom's Diner could be a smash. Go that route. Look, I love 'Tom's Diner', but in no shape, way, or form is it a smash single. It's just a great song. As much as I like 'Pretty Girls', it's a total rehash of 'Fancy' and 'Beg for It', and Britney has always been a trendsetter in pop music, not the one chasing the trends. I think that's why so many people have had such a "meh" reaction to the song; it's a little too been-there-done-that. Britney's strong suit is putting out material that adheres to her typical formula but still manages to sound fresh. See: 'Gimme More', 'Circus', 'Hold It Against Me', 'Womanizer', etc. She shouldn't be recording second-rate will.i.am tracks or Iggy Azalea retreads.

i still cant believe this flopped after all the hype. radio has a weird relationship with britney...i guess they cooled off on her after the circus and femme fatale eras for some unknown reason.

Unknown reason? She put out the biggest piece of shit album possible at this point in her career. That's why radio didn't touch it. They did her a favour. Due to having next to no presence on the radio that era, most people don't even know she put out Britney Jean and their opinion of her discography hasn't been tarnished. This song is also shit. With Rihanna rejecting every potential #1 hit that has been thrown her direction the last two years, it can't be that hard to find a smash that is current sounding.

Push "Tom's Diner" to clubs & let it become the sleeper hit we all know it's meant to be.

Only tracking a -12 today so far. The stations don't seem to know what to do with it. It might be a dissapointment, but it's stayed pretty consistent for the last month instead of dropping like a rock.
At this point, they should just release Tom's Diner as a single with a video. I would never expect it to even be a hit (even though it's amazing), but at this point why not just release it and see what happens. At the very least it will get her some positive buzz because the song is so good.

I wonder how an album would have done if released right now? 60k - 80k probably, maybe less considering how awful the single performed.

The stations don't seem to know what to do with it. They probably will after seeing these scores: :) Positive: 35.5% Negative: 41.2% Favorite: 11% (Carly's actually still lower.) Thus, the negative Net Positive. (Also the worst score in both Pos/Neg.)

I wonder how an album would have done if released right now? 60k - 80k probably, maybe less considering how awful the single performed. Jennifer Lopez's AKA opened with about half that, but Britney has a stronger fan base, so the lower end of that range sound reasonable. That wouldn't look too bad honestly if not for the fact it would be front loaded.

Callout scores have been brutal lately. I don't remember songs bombing out as badly as Britney and Carly. Then again, I don't watch callout that closely so maybe I am just paying more attention right now.
