"Hold It Against Me - 17 weeks "Till the World Ends" - 24 weeks "I Wanna Go" - 20 weeks "3" - 20 weeks "If U Seek Amy" - 17 weeks "Circus" - 22 weeks "Womanizer" - 21 weeks "Break the Ice" - 17 weeks "Piece of Me" - 20 weeks "Gimme More" - 20 weeks And if you want to educate yourself more on Britney's Chart weeks on Billboard, here you go. Have fun. www.billboard.com/artist/297529/britney-spears/chart?f=379Oh this is Billboard...meaning how many weeks they spent inside the top 100. I'm sorry but that doesn't prove anything to me considering most major hits spend 15-20 weeks alone inside the Top 20. So for you to say that her singles tend to spend 15-20 weeks inside the top 100 is really not saying much. Especially for how high some of her singles peaked. There's no denying the majority of her singles have not had longevity at all. Maybe we can make an exception for "Til The World Ends" "Scream and Shout" and "Womanizer" but the other songs peaked high and fell quick.

Can't wait to see what the "epic plans" for this are!

I would prefer she keep the collaborations to a minimum. The most we've ever seen on record was In The Zone, and that featured then Queen of Pop Madonna and the Ying Yang Twins-- both unexpected and, frankly, fascinating choices at the time. If the best she can do in 2015 is Iggy, I'm not too excited about it. She's best as an independent artist. Literally. Her collaborations are usually awful.
One thing I can get excited about is that, if Iggy is featured, then that (hopefully) implies a more urban direction for album 9?

Can't wait to see what the "epic plans" for this are! Knowing team Britney, your typical release and a music video. Her roll outs are always dull.

Well that's for sure, but I just assumed given the "epic plans" descriptor that there must be more involved. I know. I'm asking for it. Mostly I'm just kidding myself because I want it to be true. :)

I would say being in the top 100 for ~20 weeks is a pretty great thing!

There's no denying the majority of her singles have not had longevity at all. Don't play this game. There's also no denying the fact that she was getting top 5 hits on Billboard and radio almost 15 years into her career.

Well, Fancy was a #1 urban radio hit to all effects and purposes.

Didnn't 'Fancy' come after like... 5 flops and she hasn't had a real hit on the format (or on pop really) since?

But did they follow that #1 hit up with two more top 40 hits and a second top 10 in the same year? Cuz if they did then well yes, they're most certainly multi-genre (incl. urban) acts.

Why are you using top 40 hits as a measure of urban authenticity?

Didnn't 'Fancy' come after like... 5 flops and she hasn't had a real hit on the format (or on pop really) since? Fancy came after two US singles, Work (which is now Platinum certified and one of the biggest hits to never reach the top 40 on the Hot 100 according to Billboard.com!) and Change Your Life (which also ended up briefly smashing the Bubbling Under!) Both never got a release on pop or urban radio though. And both made it to the top 40 on the Mediabase weekly Rhythmic updates (only CYL did it on the official BB Rhythmic Songs chart though). Problem was top 40 on urban, so was Beg for It IIRC. No Mediocre went top 10. Iggy actually had two songs in the top 10 (and another entry lurking the top 40) simultaneously. Urban Kween!

Why are you using top 40 hits as a measure of urban authenticity? I was just noting she's had some impact on that format besides the #1 smash!!!1 (I also hope none of you are actually taking this "urban artiste" talk TOO seriously?! The gifs I'm using should definitely be used as a hint for that.) Yall need to chill...

bubbling under... smash... lol There's a way to spin anything I guess. Seems like RockaByeBaby has a lucrative career ahead as a shark at of the industry's top public relations firms.

"Smashing the bubbling under" is one of the most epically hilarious things I've read on an internet forum in ages. Thanks for the giggles.

I'm excited if so but I'm not putting stock into anything until I hear it from Britney's team herself.
