No music video? Wow, that's a very bad idea, imo. Glad she's got some promotion lined up at least. I'd love it if she could also get a performance slot to sing this on the ACMs, too. I know nothing is a given, but I almost feel that a performance slot at the ACMs is close to one? With it being a big celebration year, her long history with the show and with new material out, it seems like a good bet to me. Then again, what's logical doesn't always happen. She definitely doesn't have a chance at getting one of those last one or two Female Vocalist spots that are up for grabs. She didn't make it to the second round of voting. Without a FV nom, I'd be surprised at them giving her a performance slot... even with her history with the show. Hope I'm wrong though... would love to see Reba get a high profile slot on an awards show.

Without a FV nom, I'd be surprised at them giving her a performance slot... even with her history with the show. Hope I'm wrong though... would love to see Reba get a high profile slot on an awards show. If Toby Keith, who has seems to have a good relationship with the ACMs (as opposed to the CMAs, at least), was able to snag a 2014 ACM performance slot despite a lack of nominations, then I would think and hope that Reba, whose relationship with R.A.C. Clark & the ACM production team must be even stronger, could get one, too. Toby's ACM Awards performance slot was perhaps tied to his involvement with the ACM: All Star Salute to the Troops special last year (where he did receive recognition from the USO for his support of the troops and their families), but there were others who performed on the troops special without performing on the awards show. I also agree with slowmo that this year being a big celebratory year for the ACMs, with talk last year of producers consulting with artists about the legends they would love to collaborate with on the show, would make it likely that Reba would perform on the show. I'm less sure whether she would perform her own song, a medley of her own songs, a medley of her song with a younger artist's song, or something else. Also purely speculative, but based on earlier rumors about Reba's album being released in April, I'm inclined to look at the airdate for the Nashville: On the Record special as the week of her album release. Last year, the special aired on 23 April. There is no announced air date for this year's special yet, according to WKRN.

I see where the label is Nash Icon/Valory. Why is the Valory name still there?

I see where the label is Nash Icon/Valory. Why is the Valory name still there? I don't really know. I'm gonna assume it has to do with the staff who works on her project. Also is probably so that she isn't just on NASH so radio won't freak out. I have found it very interesting that Starstruck isn't tagged on their like before (Valory/Starstruck)

I see where the label is Nash Icon/Valory. Why is the Valory name still there? Because Valory is also promoting the song, that's why. If they weren't, some mainstream stations (in other words, those stations that aren't branded as Nash Icon stations) would probably not play this. I am sure that Reba is still with Starstruck but since that's really her own team (more of a management company than a label), it doesn't surprise me that the Starstruck logo has not been included in recent ads.

I posted earlier that this song became her biggest digital sales debut, and now the midweek update has provided more information. Not only does this mark her biggest digital sales debut, but the single also became her highest debut on the Hot Country Songs chart, no doubt aided by the fact that the chart now combines airplay, sales, and streaming. Nonetheless, it's quite an achievement and I love seeing her set these records at this stage in her career.

I would love to see Reba McEntire get her first ever gold single with Going Out Like That.

I can't believe she's never had at least a Gold single. :o How much has "Consider Me Gone" sold?

Reba recorded 2 new songs for the album today and she confirmed that both of them will be on the album! One of her fan sites also posted the cover of January 26th issue of Country Weekly!

I like that....Comeback Queen.
So, she comes in on the Published mediabase country chart this morning at number 50 so now we can start tracking her progress a little easier. 456 spins over the past week, gaining 312. Going by audience alone, she'd be at 42.

Hope this blows up the charts and can give Reba her 36th #1 hit! Please, please, please! Unfortunately, Reba has had only 25 #1's not 35 #1's. I know she has 25 #1 hits on the Billboards chart, but I was talking about on all charts like the Mediabase, R&R and the other charts that were around during her career. They totaled 35 #1s so far.

^Yeah, and she had a few that top other charts that didn't top Billboard, like "The Greatest Man I Never Knew" and "And Still" among 8 others.
Also, where is this expected to place this week?

To capitalize on the #1's album Universal which owned both Mercury and MCA included the following charts:
Billboard Radio & Records Gavin Cash Box (1980's) Country Aircheck ((MediaBase)
The songs that went #1 on some of those charts and NOT on Billboard were:
"Walk On" "Rumor Has It" "The Greatest Man I Never Knew" "It's Your Call" "Till You Love Me" "And Still" "Ring On Her Finger, Time On Her Hands" "The Fear Of Being Alone" "Forever Love" "What Do You Say" "I'm A Survivor"
As a Reba fan I wish they had only used Billboard. Most of the other charts are no longer active. Billboard is the so called "bible". To me Billboard validates the true #1s

That #1s album is basically a perfect representation of her career!

#43 debut on the Indicator chart (behind ZBB's #37 debut for "Homegrown", as well as a 45-44* move on the main chart, matching the peak of her last single, "Somebody's Chelsea". She also had a healthy 700+K AI gain. With a number of songs likely going recurrent next week, plus the struggling Dustin Lynch within passing range, I'm expecting top 40 next week.

It's also worth nothing that Reba got another 7 adds on Mediabase today, and one of them is a big market iHeartMedia (Clear Channel) station: KAJA in San Antonio.
Four of the remaining six adds were at smaller, non-conglomerate stations: WRNS in Greenville, North Carolina (owned by Digity); WOGK in Gainesville, Florida (owned by Dix Communications); KUZZ in Bakersfield, California (owned by Buck Owens Production Company); and KJUG in Visalia, California (owned by Momentum Broadcasting). The last 2 adds were both Cumulus stations: KATM in Stockton/Modesto California and Westwood One's Mainstream Country (a satellite radio station owned by Cumulus). The Westwood One station is a Mediabase-only reporting station and it contributes a substantial amount of audience per spin. Westwood One is the sole reason for the large discrepancy between Reba's Mediabase airplay (over 5.5 million) and her Billboard airplay (just under 3.2 million).

Even though this matches the peak of her last single, "Somebody's Chelsea". be aware it took 10 weeks to achieve it. This is only week #2. I realize that being a veteran artist she won't be jumping 5-10 spots per week like the younger artists but hopefully this song will have a slow but steady rise to help make her music relevant once again. Definitely. Right now at least, the chart run of "Going Out Like That" is more aligned with "Consider Me Gone" and "Turn On The Radio" than "Somebody's Chelsea". I just thought that it was worth pointing out that she has now matched her last single, in terms of radio success. One small step as her comeback continues :)
