Her track with The Weeknd leaked today (well, his whole album did) but anyway "Prisoner" is a standout track.

Not into TLY and I somewhat hate the cover. Still super excited for the album though as HBTB remains flawless and Honeymoon has that classic Lana blissful feel that I love.

That is incredible, as is this. Maybe the next album will have her driving it.

Why are her preorder tracks always the ones least likely to make you want to buy her album? shades of cool was the same way Am I the only one that appreciates Shades of Cool (or Ultraviolence for that matter) for the work of precious art it is?

Both are absolute highlights on the album and some of the best in her discography.

I feel like Ultraviolence (the album) best captures the Lana Del Rey essence based on all of her previous work as Lizzy Grant. Fans and critics alike say that it's an experimental record but I think that the actual experimental album was Born To Die/Paradise and I don't think she'll ever go that vanilla again and will (hopefully) keep on serving us the psychedelic-ish bops she's been serving since last year.

Terrence Loves You is absolutely gorgeous. Obviously not the kind of song to listen to any ol' time, but I can tell it's going to always be a glorious listen when I'm in the right mood.

via NME: Mark Ronson I hate to crap all over your excitement, but we just worked a couple [of] days together and I think she's amazing, but we didn't actually end up doing anything for her album," Ronson told Digital Spy.

Now if only we had gotten that Pretty When You Cry video. Hopefully Music To Watch Boys To doesn't fall to the same fate.

I think we can expect it to have the same Shades of Cool treatment, the video will most likely be released Sept. 18. But that's my two cents anyway.

Lana's (amazing) song with The Weeknd, "Prisoner," just entered the top 10 on iTunes.

Both are absolute highlights on the album and some of the best in her discography. I don't disagree, but I definitely didn't appreciate those songs much until after the album came out. She has a knack for releasing inaccessible songs for pre-album singles. A lot of her music requires the context of the album to appreciate it.

Ultraviolence re-enters the BB 200 this week at #196, giving it a full year on the chart (53 weeks total).
Born To Die jumps 13 spots to #61 in its 187th week. The only other album in the top 100 that has spent more weeks on the chart is The Eminem Show.

BTD isn't going anywhere. The vinyl sales and streams it's been getting will keep it on the charts for many weeks to come. :)

Do the Summertime Sadness streams/sales go towards BTD for the BB200? That's the only way that I see the album staying so high this long after its release.

Sounds like a pretty low-key, downtempo, hazy affair, based on the sampler but I'm excited. The songs are mostly long so I feel like the beats could kick in after the clips end.

But none of those streams are counting towards the BB200. I didn't realize only on-demand streaming was considered. Everyone is losing their minds to 'Freak'. I don't hear it. 'Music To Watch Boys To' sounds like it's going to be a standout.

The sampler is the intros from my guessing so I can't really pass judgement on either, but both Freak and MTWBT sound promising. I am hoping for one or two...livelier(?) tracks on the album though.
