The follow-up to top ten hit "Cool Kids," Echosmith's next single from Talking Dreams will be "Bright," which goes for pop adds on February 3 according to FMQB.

Not what I expected at all ("Come Together"), but I LOVE this one! So beautiful. I hope it does well, but they sure did wait a while... ETA: Oh, hey ;)

The vocals sound so Taylor Swift on this. Would dig if the lyrics weren't so awful and cheesy.

Should've been "Tell Her You Love Her" but this is good too.

I like this! I agree with .indulgecountry, it does sound very country/pop and very "Fearless" era Taylor Swift, and I love it!

I was so confused reading your comment because I knew I hadn't listened to this song before and couldn't possibly have commented on it. I will now listen to it though because I loved "Cool Kids."

Eh, I think this is just alright. I see the Taylor Swift comparisons, but "Cool Kids" was a lot more interesting. I can't see this getting the same fanfare from radio that their debut single did.

YES. This is easily my favorite on the album, although I was expecting "Come Together" as that is certainly more radio friendly. I don't expect this to do that well for them, but who knows. So glad its a single though!

This sounds good. I like this better than "Cool Kids". It does sound more country than it does Pop to me. This can do well.

It's alright. I like it better than "Cool Kids", which I thought was annoying. Don't see this doing much though. They're more than likely going to be one-hit wonders.

Reminds me of the old Taylor Swift songs from her debut era. But this will sadly not do much at all. "Cool Kids" was good. They will go the way of Rixton.

I think this is a great choice. Having done tens of radio promos the past year, the Sierotas have some goodwill with radio programmers and they'll give it a chance. And people will love it because it sounds like the old Taylor they used to know. (She's gone for now. In the meantime, listen to Sydney instead.) If Warner has any sense at all, yeah they should promote it on Country, too. (As for the other single choices: The problem with "Come Together" is that at more than 4 minutes, it's too long. And "Tell Her You Love Her" being their 2nd most played song on Spotify could be a third single, however it's more of a grower. Cheesy as it may be, "Bright" is more catchy and a safer choice as a follow-up.)

I heard this the other day during their HITBOUND timeslot. Along with "Talking Body", "Geronimo", and "All About It" among others!

That's amazing for a band that sounded like a one hit wonder a week before its adds date.

I think others hit the nail on the head with this one. The band *REALLY* curried radio's favor during the "Cool Kids" era, sort of in the way country acts promote themselves (I only see a handful of pop acts publicly thanking radio stations the way these kids did). Combined with the fact that "Cool Kids" was a big deal on multiple formats and this song is fantastic (even if not the most radio friendly), there's no reason to think this won't score a decent number of adds in the coming weeks.
Will come down to whether people actually get into this song. As noted, it's not obviously radio-friendly, and even the far more radio-friendly "Cool Kids" peaked lower than it should have at pop.

And 2nd-most-added at HAC on impact. Like I said, this one definitely looks poised to get a CHANCE from programmers. Might be tough to rank at the top of the pop add board today (since just about every song in the world is going for adds), but I'm thinking the # of adds should be respectable.

There's only three others. The Charli XCX/Rita Ora song, Rixton, and Sam Smith.

Zara Larsson (confirmed by Epic, reiterated by HDD, but probably not big on the adds front) Natalie La Rose (confirmed by Republic) Andy Grammer (I've seen that here and I think FMQB) Plus, you have a lot of songs that are still new/fresh at the format (Rihanna, Taylor, etc). The add board is really crowded (we already saw Hollywood Records back out of launching Fire N Gold today).
