I've noticed more and more "You Tube Music Key" videos popping up lately..... does make it easier to post the Audio for newer songs now :)

Pretty good, has a nice easygoing feel to it, perfect for driving. Count me in on this one.

I definitely hear some of the Barenaked Ladies vocal style in the vocal too. Not a bad thing IMO and it helps the duo stand out immediately on a well-written, radio ready mid-tempo.

The Highway on Sirius/XM strikes again. Was just about to comment about this being on the Highway! I think I like this one, but there's been a huge onslaught of new music on the Highway that it's getting hard for me to remember what I've heard. That said, there have been very few that I dislike (and lots of females!), so hopefully that's a good sign for the genre in general.

It's not exactly a bad song, but it really doesn't bring anything new or exciting to the table. I feel like I've heard it before, even though I know I haven't. Sounds perfect for radio though.

The lead singer's voice really reminds me of another country singer's, but I can't pinpoint who it is that I'm thinking of.
Anyway, I like this one a good bit, but it seems to be off to an unusually slow start for a Big Machine artist. Usually it seems that BMLG artists debut with quite a bit of a fanfare but there's been considerably less fanfare for this group and this release.
The only thing that bothers me about this one is the lyrics in the first verse. He sees this apparently good-looking girl and she smiles at him, and next thing we know he's saying "hey baby, let's hit the road". That's coming on awfully strong, lol. If a guy I'd never met told me he had $100 and just wanted to get out of town, I'd be totally creeped out, lol.

This single isn't really doing anything for me, it's so basic and they don't even sound that interested in singing it to me. I'll give them another few chances to impress me but I'm surprised Big Machine released something so generic as a debut single, usually their singles tend to have much stronger marketing and more liveliness to them.

With the lack of promotion behind this you can be sure of a few things:
1. Big Machine had this paid for before the ink was dry. 2. The promotion money is coming from an independent source. 3. No one on the staff, including Scott is taking this seriously.
This will fail. If you don't have Scott on board 100 percent, you have no one.

Ok, I'm trying to figure out how this one can be #50 on Mediabase but not even in the top 60 on Billboard, nor listed in the New & Active section. It's gained about 400k over the last 3 weeks on Mediabase, with about 100k of that gain coming this past week. I thought it probably just got pushed out of the Billboard top 60 last week (like we've seen happen to RaeLynn and Logan Mize, and now Ashley Monroe), but I don't see how it couldn't have re-bulleted this week.
Even if its Billboard audience is only 60% of its Mediabase audience (which is a really low ratio), it would have been at 1.234 million on tonight's Billboard chart, which would have placed it at #60, just ahead of Chris Janson. Most songs have a ratio in the 0.65 to 0.7 range.
Either Billboard made a mistake, or there actually is a huge discrepancy between its MB position and its BB position (which would obviously be #61 or lower). I suppose it's possible that this one has a ratio less than 0.6 and is doing way better on some Mediabase-only stations, but either way, just a very odd situation.

MR If this was the case, why would they bother still promoting it? Why would they have given the duo a big CRS slot instead of another act (they also showcased Drake White and A Thousand Horses at the CRS shows)?

Either way this song isn't going to go anywhere and I do find Big Machine hasn't pushed this as hard as they usually do for debut singles.

Well I figured I post here to say I think this song is just about done. This song fell 7 spots in the last BB chart and well I think that will be their last week.
Honestly I think what caused this was getting lost in the shuffle and well no real strong promotion to cut it thru the pack.
Me I am glad it is gonna leave cause it just felt like it was taking up space.
MB peak #50 BB peak #51. I think these guys will get one last chance and then that is it.
