This one is okay. There's like 3 good songs on the record ("The Kids Aren't Alright", "Novocaine", "Twin Skeleton's (Hotel In NYC)"). Guessing this will get a Top 20 peak.

Most of the new album has this weird vibe that I can't get into. A chaotic hybrid of Mainstream Pop and Alternative with distorted guitar effects is how I can best describe it. "The Kids Arn't Allright" brings down the tone a bit more to a FOB level I can get into. I'll probobly pass on this one just like I did with "Centuries"

I love that they sampled the Munsters theme song!

That song title makes me have low expectations for this song.

On iTunes now. Went straight to #1.
The only part I like about the song is the "work a miracle" part, which is really catchy. Other than that, I think I'll end up passing on this one also.

I'd love for it to get a top 20 peak, but considering "America's Suitehearts" DNC'd and "The Phoenix" didn't even go top 30, I'd be really surprised. I like the song though, so I'm all for it doing well.

But I forgot that "America's Suitehearts" and "The Phoenix" did bad on Alt, so maybe I'll change it to Top 30 lol.

Not sure if "Centuries"'s #4 peak will result in a higher peak for it, but I'll be rooting against it personally. They haven't released a song I like since their reformation with the exception of "Alone Together".

Not a big fan of the album, the only worthwhile song imo is the closer, everything else is just meh

I haven't heard the album yet, but I've been extremely unimpressed with much of their material since "Save Rock and Roll" came out. I probably sound a bit like a broken record as I've said this before, but I feel like they've just gotten worse and worse after "From Under The Cork Tree" was released. I know times change and bands want to change their sound, but over the last couple of years, I picture them playing with a cheerleading squad behind them on stage. Almost every song sounds very much alike and so poppy.

I think personally they sound a lot like Maroon 5 now. "Animals" and "Centuries" even have nearly identical rhythm.
"Baby I'm preying on you tonight! Hunt you down, eat you alive! Just like animals, animals, animals-mals!" "Some legends are told! Some turn to dust or to gold! But you will remember me! Remember me for centuries!"

This one might be my least favorite out of the cuts I've heard so far. Not sure why it's just this album but the vocals seem a lot more grating than usual. After this and Centuries I'll probably pass on listening to the album.

The Thing That Would Save You
Thank you. That's more or less what I wanted to get across about their new record. Not only rythm wise, but the instruments too. Sounding almost synthetic(fake).

This is a fantastic album, this track is great and will probably go top 10 Alt IMO.
I enjoyed this whole album, and I think this is one of the most ambitious FOB albums to date.
Listen to: Twin Skeletons (Hotel in NYC) Jet Pack Blues The Kids Aren't Alright
8/10 Chuckles

This song is really bad and it makes it worse that it references one of my favorite actresses.

Haven't listened to the album yet (surprisingly, I'm a big fan of them!) And I was uncertain whether or not I like this one at first, but it's growing on me, so we'll just see how this goes...

New remix with Wiz Khalifa...
Wiz isn't half bad on this actually. The new beat however is bad. Probably the next pop single.

I heard this today and didn't care for it but it seems to have some buzz behind it. I thought I'd come into this thread and read all positive posts. I guess other people aren't really feeling it either. I've really liked some of their singles but Centuries was actually pretty blah for me, too. Album is going to sell 200,000+ (is that right?) so they have obviously been able to maintain a nice fan base even with some extended time away as a group.

This song grew on me a lot actually. I like it now. That chorus is so f*cking catchy. Album is still sh*t though.

Wiz Khalifa pretty much ruined "Payphone" by sticking in a rap that had nothing to do with the song, so I don't care for that guy. I was right about FOB, they are going that c(r)appy mainstream pop way after all. R.I.P. Fall Out Boy

After hearing the album, I think there were better choices to follow up "Centuries". IMO "Irresistible" or "Novocaine" are more suitable as singles than this.

Motel of the White Locust hmmm, not sure, but if you want I'll look that up for you. Though I would concider it a positive thing to be hooked up with Kim Kardashian
