"On Your Side": "Looking Up":
Just because I know I won't be able to contain my excitement, I'm making a thread to get it out. So let me run back a bit: The lead single to their third album was "On Your Side" and came out on December 2, 2013, with an original album release date of January 2014. On January 7, 2014, they tweeted that big news was coming 'soon'. Their definition of soon was wayyyyyyy different than everybody else's. They ditched social media for a full year and absolutely nothing had been tweeted since that tweet. After exactly a year long of silence that was filled with doubt about their future, they tweeted: My guess is the silence had somewhat to do with the negative fan reaction "On Your Side" got since people didn't like the EDM sounds it had. And they probably had the trick up their sleeve for awhile about posting exactly a year after they said that. Meanies. Two days later (today) they released a follow-up tweet with the track listing to their currently untitled third studio album. 1. "On Your Side" 2. "Beat of Your Heart" 3. "Looking Up" 4. "Ordinary Girl" 5. "Pause" 6. "Numbers or Faith" 7. "Stick to Your Guns" 8. "Half Your Heart" 9. "Perfect Color" 10. "Holding On" 11. "Fade to Black" Bonus tracks: 12. "Heart Attack" 13. "When You're Not Around" 14. "Finalize" http://instagram.com/p/xpWFiJyr2h "Beat of Your Heart" and "Holding On" were brought up in a Q&A back in December 2013 when "On Your Side" was released and Doug (the lead singer) said that "Beat of Your Heart" was his favorite. "Heart Attack" is a song from the These Times era that for whatever reason never made the album and fans were really upset about it (including me). They tweeted that if "On Your Side" went Top 20 on iTunes, they would release the studio version of "Heart Attack" that they 'found', which didn't happen. Then peculiarly someone on Facebook brought up the recording, and they said they never recorded it, which was after they said they found a recording lol. Live version of "Heart Attack":

Preview of the studio version of "Ordinary Girl":
Eh I don't care for this. "Perfect Color" was a lot better. Something is off in this.

Not related to the album, but the Wedding Version of "Never Stop" from their Hallelujah EP is being featured on the front page of iTunes as a Hot Track (likely for Valentine's Day), and is climbing rapidly. Currently at #162 on the overall chart!

They released a new song today, which is an acoustic version of a song called "Kiss Me Back". This wasn't included in the tracklisting they put out awhile ago, so I'm thinking it's either not on the album, or the tracklisting wasn't final.

Today SafetySuit released "Heart Attack" in full as a surprise and a thank you for fans for sticking around. This was actually their first post on social media since June 20th, so it's been awhile. They stated is that there is much more to come, but I'll believe it when I see it lol.

Last night was the first night of the tour and they announced that "Pause" would be released next week (February 5th), then played the song. They also played "Numbers or Faith" and "Beat Of Your Heart" from the new album. There was an interview/write-up about the band for their upcoming Salt Lake City concert, which shines a lot of light on why they were silent for a year and their plans for the album. Summary: Following the end of the tour for These Times, the band had planned to take a yearlong hiatus to restructure their organization (likely managers and whatnot), and also left Republic Records in the process, while also taking time to write the upcoming album. After that (and likely almost the start to the silence), they ensued legal troubles with leaving Republic, and they had another major label signing in mind before that disintegrated when it came time to sign. In the midst of their little break some of the guys started families and they decided they wanted a breather before they started to tour again. The album, at the moment, does not have a release date, but Doug suggested that it would be available sooner than we think. They want "Looking Up" to create more momentum before they drop it, and there are plans to start a full radio push for it in the near future. They uploaded a little behind the scenes look to their album today. They paid homage to the best song of all-time, "My House".

They did a short Q&A on Twitter today, which announced some things for the tour and the album.
The album is 13 tracks long (unknown if there will be a deluxe edition like previously stated), and it'll be digital only, but there will be physical copies and potentially vinyls of the album available on their headlining tour. There will be more dates announced for the tour later, as this is just the start of the tour.
Also, the opening track is a new song entitled "You" and there's a song called "Confused". I was told the tracklisting has stayed relatively the same with a few additions and subtractions from the original they posted.

They have a new single called "Perfect Color" that came out last week. The song was originally going to be on their self-titled album, but it didn't make the final cut because it was not finished yet. The song will be going to radio in the coming months, while there will be a music video soon, as well as potential commercial spots (they said marketing tactics with big companies, so this is all I could think of). Doug also stated there will be a few one-off singles released throughout the year, but no EP or another album.

A new EP entitled #YouAreThePerfectColor will be released this Wednesday, and will include their latest single "Perfect Color", as well as a new one called "Compass" (+ acoustic versions of both). The reason for the cringeworthy hashtag title is because they are trying to make this more of a movement that has to do with anti-bullying. $1 from each EP sold in the first week will be donated to anti-bullying non-profits. You can read more here: safetysuitmusic.com/safetysuit-promotes-youaretheperfectcolor-day/As well as look at the website for the movement here: youaretheperfectcolor.com/
