Was hoping they would go with this obvious choice and not make a stupid decision.
LOL though at the artwork.

I like this song enough to be okay with it as a single, but I feel the timing for a late spring or early summer peak would have made Limes a better choice, and I think Country Nation is a better song too. I'll be curious to see how this song does, because his last 3rd single, The Mona Lisa, didn't fair too well. This does have that vintage Brad sound to it though, so perhaps it will be in a better position to succeed.

Actually, "I Can't Change The World" was 'Wheelhouse's third single, but it did even worse than TML so your point stands.

Perfect pre-summer song, as this one should be peaking around mid may. Can't wait to hear this one with the windows down under the sun.

This is a really good choice, and it reminds me that I still need to pick up this album. I hope this can be another #1 for Brad.
In other Brad news, the 2nd leg of his Country Nation Tour kicks off in just a few days with openers The Swon Brothers and Parmalee. I expect that "Country Nation" will be the 4th single from this album, as it will line up nicely with the 2015 college football season.

I don't know why, but this song irks me right now... I think it's the talk/sing thing that he does in this. Haven't been able to listen to songs like that ever since FGL ruined it for me.

Heard this on the radio this afternoon. Sounded great on the radio. Great choice for a single. "Perfect Storm" was just blah to me.

As much as I love and prefer High Life, this is the right choice for the next single. Hopefully it'll be another hit for Brad!

I was actually shocked to hear this. I just read about this being released only an hour or so before on here, and then I heard it on the radio just an hour later.

I have no doubt that this will be a hit for Brad come spring and summer, however I think I'll be sitting out on the sidelines on this one. I'm just not feeling it...one of the first thoughts I had while listening to this song was it'll be one of those I'll hear at one of those local bars in downtown Austin out on Sunday Funday, the same kind of crowd that jammed along with Lady A's "Bartender." I've never been one for those "hey it's Friday night so let's go get a little crazy and have some fun" kind of songs anyways. I do have to give props to the "George freaking Strait" line though...that is one I'll be quoting for a while .

SMART. CHOICE. Wow, this era is such a recovery from the Wheelhouse one. They're likely batting 1.000 with this release in terms of legitimate radio successes. And 2 out of the 3 of them have been pretty quality! Hopefully they can drive this era a couple more singles deep after this peaks.

Oh I shared my personal thoughts, but forgot to say the obvious:
This will be huge on country radio, so I wish him a ton of success!!! :)

Hi everyone! This is my first time posting here in Pulse. I've been lurking for quite some time and I enjoy reading threads about the chart performances of my favorite country songs! It's a fresh year for chart watching, and I've decided to join in the fun!
Anyway, I'm happy that "Crushin' It" is released as the third single for the Moonshine In The Trunk era. It's a fun song that suits well on the radio. I am also praying there'll be a remix of "Crushin' It" featuring Josh Groban somewhere down the line (remember the video teaser of Brad prior to release of the album?) :)

Was just in my car and the local station here in CT (who is on the Billboard and I assume Mediabase panel) played "Limes" to kick off their commercial free hour and a half. I thought that was really odd considering "Perfect Storm" is still in pretty high rotation and they just announced "Crushin' It" as the next single. I also have never heard that station play any non-singles, with the only exception I can think of being "Summer Jam" by Jake Owen, but that one always picks up nationwide airplay in the summer. Figured you would like that.

Either this or "High Life" would have been great choices for the end of winter into spring. It's a great drinking song with Brad's brand of humor written all over it. He's 3/3 so far this era, and I can't see him releasing anything as a fourth single that I won't like.
Brad has so much more momentum after "Perfect Storm" than he did after "Beat This Summer" two years ago. "Crushin' It" should be a Top-5 hit.

PERFECT choice for 3rd single! The first time I heard this album this song screamed #1! I still blast it loud in my car! I too hope they follow it with "Country Nation." This is Brad's best album since 5th Gear and so many other songs from it could be radio hits. I couldn't say that about his last 2 albums. I'm so happy he is back and better than ever and releasing music to radio worthy of going #1.

I would have made this the 4th single (High Life being the 3rd single) but they really can't go wrong with whatever they pick IMO. I'm astonished (but happy) at the success Brad has been able to bounce back with. It feels as if Wheelhouse never happened lol. As for the song itself, this isn't the type of song I usually gravitate towards but Brad's humor makes this a very enjoyable listen. The George Strait line might seem corny but for me it works so well haha. I predict an easy #1 here.

They just put a radio version of this on All Access and it has about 10 seconds cut off in the beginning instrumentation but the can crush is still in the edit. It comes in at 3:21 in total length.

I love "Crushin' It". Brad Paisley's 10th album really does have some great music. My hopes for "Crushin' It" is that it is another number one. After this single peaks I'm hoping they choose "Country Nation" as the fourth single.

Second most-added song on Mediabase this week with 62 adds. Tim got 66. A great start for the both of them!
Also, "Crushin' It" makes its Billboard debut today at #54.

Gotta say I was expecting a ton of adds for both but I expected Tim to have at least 10 more adds than Brad actually. Perhaps 50 or so for "Crushin' It" while Tim's song got about as many adds as I expected. I agree though, stars or not (and they are), great first week for both. :)

There are some great choices for singles on Brad's new album! This was his comeback album in my opinion after a couple of lackluster albums. Wheelhouse was just not great at all. The only song I enjoyed from the album was the second single "Beat This Summer". This Is Country Music was just mediocre in my opinion. The only songs I enjoyed from it were "Remind Me" and "Old Alabama". This album though I absolutely loved. After this I'm hoping for "Country Nation" to be the 4th single. Other great single choices are "Moonshine In The Trunk" or "High Life". Kenny Chesney also to me had a comeback album with The Big Revival.

I'm actually not expecting this to be another top 10 for Brad. I get that this is supposed to be a fun, summertime hit for Brad, but I can see where this might just come across as silly or aggravating to some and I don't see listeners getting too passionately into this one either. I'm frankly expecting a peak in the teens. "High Life" would have been a better single and I'm sure they'll go with that one after this and "Little Toy Guns" are done on the charts to keep Carrie at radio in between albums.

Apologies for quoting you two weeks late but I have a similar feeling about this song. Now I'm not about to predict Brad misses the top 10 (which is still a possibility) but we could be looking at a much more difficult climb than "Perfect Storm" was. "Crushin' It" was able to reach the top 40 in three weeks on MB but it's numbers haven't been amazing (6 million in audience on MB while two other heavy hitters, Tim and Kenny are already well ahead with around 10 million in audience) and its sales are below average right now - granted, it is a third single and its only been at radio for about a month, but "Crushin' It" is at #138 on the country iTunes chart and #1038 on the all-genre chart. I don't have exact numbers but I know "Perfect Storm" was way ahead of that by the time it was a month into its chart run (#22 at the 6 week mark on the iTunes Country Chart if I remember correctly?). The fact some listeners might be turned off by this one I have actually witnessed already with two different people. Both of them said they didn't care for it because of its vocal arrangement and lyrics. I still think many find this one a fun spring time tune, but something that caught my attention and reason to see how this one is faring. It's still too early to say this one under performs but I cautiously agree that this one will not be one of Brad's bigger hits.
