"Fire" doesn't really do much for me. Having only heard it this one time, I cannot judge whether it will hang on for me or not. The line "girl you're fire" is repeated so much that is nearly annoying, but somehow seems it could easily become catchy. I'll wait until the album actually drops to listen through again. It's a fun song, but I actually prefer "Lose My Mind."

Brett Eldredge is such a waste of a good voice, imo. "Raymond" is his only single to date that I don't think is essentially forgettable and is a truly 'great' song. "Signs" "One Mississippi" not being released from his last album will forever be a crime, since it was better than all three of the hit singles they got from it, but every bit as radio friendly. He just bores me as an artist. Fixed that for ya! But yeah , I couldn't agree more. He has arguably the best voice in Mainstream country music and wastes it on forgettable completely & utterly vanilla material. Okay, well that one could've been released in place of "Mean to Me," while "Signs" could've replaced either "Don't Ya" or "Beat of the Music." ;)

^I agree, I've met Brett, he's a heck of a nice guy and he's got a hell of a voice but "Raymond" is his only truly excellent single. The rest are just "ok" with "Lose My Mind" being atrocious (at least IMO). This song isn't as bad as "Lose My Mind" but it's nothing special either. Come on Brett, where's the "One Mississippi", "Go On Without Me", "Shade", and "Signs"? You have an excellent voice, pick something that utilizes it.

Holly Williams is headed back into the studio. "The third-generation singer is preparing to record a new album in August with producer Dave Cobb (Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson)." Source

Dave Cobb is a hell of a producer, probably my favorite. Can't wait for this!

Brett is one of the few artists where I actually wouldn't mind an album full of songs like "Raymond" or "One Mississippi." Ballad type songs that are heavy on sorrow. It may not fair well with radio, but for my own selfish reasons...an album of that style would be my vote.

Either someone is calendar-challenged, or the release date of Maddie & Tae's album has been pushed up.
Bmlg just posted on facebook "only one month until Start Here"
Anyone?

According to his Facebook page, Rick Trevino says he has been in the studio working on new music!! I'm super excited it has been way too long since they finally released "Whole Town Blue".

And now if we could get new albums from Ken Mellons, Kevin Denney, Joe Diffie and Doug Stone I'd be set! Plus it'd be nice for Brad Martin, Tommy Shane Steiner,James Bonamy, David Kersh and Ricky Van Shelton to put out something new but I know they're done with singing pretty well

I'm thinking a Thomas Rhett album announcement might be coming tomorrow. He posted this cryptic puzzle/clue on Facebook tonight: Several commenters unscrambled the letters to get "Tangled Up". "Dung Plate", "Nutpad Gel", and "Planet Dug" are other possibilities, but I'm gonna go with "Tangled Up".

I'm guessing Thomas's idea of old school country is Rascal Flatts

John Berry launched a Kickstarter campaign today for two November-launch projects- a ten-song country music album co-written with a variety of Nashville writers since he and his wife Robin moved to Nashville a year ago, as well as a Christmas album. Source

There's a lot of good stuff coming up.
Unfortunately, anyone who makes any kind of substantial mainstream impact seems to be spewing crap.
That's just BS about Keith Urban's new album. I hated pretty much everything from Fuse, and I don't see how anyone in their right mind would think that over-producing Urban's voice to the point where he is unrecognizable is a good idea. Excuse my language, but what an asshat.
That leak from Brett Eldredge is disappointing. I was hoping he wouldn't also be going in the EDM direction, but clearly he is. The chorus for that song could easily be played along side "Lose My Mind" and "Crash and Burn" without much trouble. Sorry Brett, but you've lost a fan.
Can't even say anything about Thomas Rhett, because he's as much to blame as anyone. I liked pretty much every song off his debut album (with the exception of the three released as singles...odd, right?) but I am by no means looking forward to his sophomore album.
Any word on Luke's album? I know ya'll hate Luke here but if he gets the production right on this one, I have a good feeling this album is going to be better than his last.

Two of the tracks on Jake Owen's upcoming album, according to his interview on The Highway. "LA-X" "Music" No really, those are actual titles. Jake said "Music" will be the first track on the album.
