If it's half as good as Dirt or Crop Circles, I'll be satisfied. Second that! :) The more I listen to "Upside Down" the more I like it. I liked it when I first heard it, but I felt it was different from what he did with his past albums. Obviously, he cannot make the same album every time. I think that if "Upside Down" is a true representation of what the remainder of the album will be like, I am excited. Kind of bummed though there will only be 10 songs. Still excited though.

I liked "Upside Down" the first time I heard, but it was as immediate as let's say "Bounty", "Another Man's Gold" or "Mountain Man", but it has definitely grown on me.

Yes, a total new direction in sound; still country but less core than before. Maybe, it's toned down in view of a legitimate US release and push for "Upside Down" to US radio.

Doubtful, but that'd be great. He needs some sort of U.S label extension, even for a push to secondary radio. The Small Town Pistols tried to get some sort of push in 2014 for "Colour Blind" without a U.S partnership and their song did literally nothing down here. Getting somebody like New Revolution or even in2Tune to help out would be fantastic, but I really think Dean is content about only being in Canada right now and is in a happy place. It would also require a financial investment for two sides (Dean and a label or radio promo team), so that's a stumbling block.

From Lauren Alaina's instagram http://instagram.com/p/0iP5GtgUy2 "Yesterday I shed a lot of tears, shared a lot of laughs, and made the music I've always dreamed of making. The musicians that played are the best in the world. I have the best producer a girl could ask for, and the most amazing engineer. I wrote all of these songs with a ton of friends and half of them with my best friend. AND My manager is definitely the best manager in Nashville. And last but certainly not least, I have the most amazing boyfriend Ever. He's been my number one supporter through all of this. So with all that said, I guess you could say I'm the luckiest girl in the world. I honestly can't believe that after two years of hard work and writing, we tracked the last songs for the record last night. It's so surreal that my music is going to be completely finished and ready for my impatiently patient fans waiting for it. I'm so thankful my fans have stuck around and supported me through this crazy journey. Thank you to everyone who helped me get this music where it needed to be. I love you all sooo much." The album is coming!!!!

I don't know Mercury's schedule but I would think if the album is finished, then they would try to set a single impact date once one, or both Canaan and Easton's singles wrap up. I also wouldn't rule out them going the route of reintroducing Lauren to radio (ala, Casey James with Columbia). It all depends. I could see a new single in the spring (May or June), or sometime in the summer.
Either way, great news. Lauren has one of my favorite voices in music period. :)

This would be a great time for Lauren, to have a single in the Spring and album by Fall. I know that Scotty isn't even looking to release a single til mid to late Summer at earliest and the album at the very end of the year or early next year. So he isn't on the release schedule in the near future. I'm so looking forward to new music from Lauren. If radio won't give this woman a chance, then I say to hell with sexist radio, period!

List of cowrites for Danielle Bradbery's upcoming sophomore album via msgbigblog (Windmills). “Be You” (Danielle Bradbery / Nathan Chapman / Kylie Sackley) “Boy Meets Girl” (Danielle Bradbery / Nicolle Galyon / Jimmy Robbins) “I’m Me Because Of You” (Danielle Bradbery / Chase McGill / Maren Morris) “If I Were A Cowboy” (Danielle Bradbery / Luke Laird / Hillary Lindsey) “Friend Zone” (Michael Blue / Danielle Bradbery / Johan Lindbrandt / Shari Short) “Going After Midnight” (Danielle Bradbery /Sandy Chila / Alex Dezen) “Guns N Roses” (Danielle Bradbery / Christopher DeStefano / Natalie Hemby) “Jeans & A T-Shirt” (Danielle Bradbery / Nicolle Galyon / Liz Rose) “Keep Reaching” (Danielle Bradbery / Nelly Joy / Jason Reeves) “Mama Was A Liar” (Michael Blue / Danielle Bradbery / Johan Lindbrandt / Shari Short) “My Own Radio” (Danielle Bradbery / Barry Dean / Lori McKenna) “Soundtrack” (Danielle Bradbery / Jaren Boyer / Sara Haze / Jason Saenz) “Watch Me” (Danielle Bradbery / Corey Crowder / Patrick Davis) “When You Say We” (Danielle Bradbery / Barry Dean / Jimmy Robbins) There are live performances of two of the songs she's been previewing called "Friend Zone" and "Mama Was A Liar". "Friend Zone" is a flirty pop rocker, with a spoken word chorus. "Mama Was A Liar" is a rangy country/pop/rock blend that could lead in any one of those directions, depending on the production of the studio version. Source

Johnny Cash will have a special vinyl pressing of a somewhat obscure live album, Koncert V Praze, that will be made available in limited quantities on National Record Store Day, April 18. The album features Cash playing his greatest hits behind the Iron Curtain in 1983 and will printed on special edition Soviet Red 180 gram vinyl. Source

Granger Smith is following up his successful sold-out Yee Yee Nation Tour with a brand-new EP. 4X4, a collection of four songs produced by industry veteran Frank Rogers (Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker), will be released on May 4, in advance of a full album.
“After years of making music in my home studio, it’s an honor to collaborate with my longtime friend, Frank Rogers, on this new EP and full-length album,” Smith says. “I consider Frank as having the best ear for a country song in the entire industry, and it has been so inspiring watching our two worlds come together to make music. As busy as I’ve gotten the last few years on tour, there’s no way for me to handle an entire project by myself anymore,” he adds. “The albums I release are stories of my life, and there is no one I trust more with my songs than Frank Rogers.”

Granger Smith deserves to make it big in country music. His touring is legendary (as Earl Dibbles-I know one of his huge fans). He has only made one appearance on any country chart and that is the albums chart in 2013 with Dirt Road Driveway (#15).

I am interested in some of the BG tracks, specifically "Just As I Am".
That Tim CD is an embarrassment. I am seriously out of words to describe how terrible that label is. Seriously. Stop. You're embarrasing yourselves.

Honestly kind of intrigued to hear the BG tracks. Hopefully a track like "Stone Cold Sober" is a testament to what he is now instead of another party song like Bottoms Up or Small Town Throwdown. Seriously, dude that crap almost got you killed. Anyway I always thought that the title to his album sounded cool so I'm glad there's finally a title track

Anyone know when Daryle Singletary's "There's A Little Country Left" album will be out on Itunes? The few articles I read said it would be released phyiscally AND digitally today. So far, nothing yet. And can't seem to find any other news on it.
Maybe I'll check tomorrow when I go to buy Darius's album
