Is "Devil Don't Sleep" by Brantley Gilbert still due January 13? Haven't heard a thing about it in over a month. And I don't see it listed for that date on All Access.

Kip said at a show this weekend that his album is now coming out in May. (I know he's said March in the past) but the latest news is now that it's May. No official date.

Kip said at a show this weekend that his album is now coming out in May. (I know he's said March in the past) but the latest news is now that it's May. No official date. Even May seems way too optimistic (and by that, I mean "early") to me. The lead single obviously won't come out until January at the earliest, and since Kip doesn't exactly have much momentum right now, it's pretty unlikely that he'll have a single in the top 20 by May. January through April is about 17 weeks and that's not very long at all for a song to be on the chart. Even if we figure late May for the album release, that would only give the lead single 21 weeks or so to climb the chart prior to the album release, and that's assuming that the lead single will drop the first week of January. I'm definitely eager for more music from Kip and I'm sure they are hoping to get it out there soon, but in my experience, when an artist who isn't a super huge star says "the album is going to come out in this month", it almost never comes out that month. I'm sure it can get frustrating but that's just the music business. Most of the major labels won't release an album until the lead single is top 20 or better -- there are a few exceptions, but not many. So unless Kip's next single is a surprisingly big hit that moves up the chart quite a bit faster than I expect it to, I think it's somewhat unlikely that his album will be released in May. I'm not trying to be negative because I definitely can't wait to get my hands on new Kip Music...I'm simply going off what I've seen in the past, and trying to adjust my expectations based on that. But I will hope that Kip's next single connects with people and that it sells well and that radio programmers are excited about it...if all of that happens, maybe it can be top 20 or close to it by May (again, assuming that they actually release the song in January. If they don't release the single in January, then the likelihood of a May album release becomes even lower).

I didn't even realize that they deleted and replaced the release date: It's now billed as "early 2017"... Haven't heard anything about this on bg Nation; other than some snippets which sound pretty decent (and not really Country).

On American Country Countdown the host Kix Brooks announced that Lauren Alaina new album will be titled Road Less Traveled I haven't seen anything online about it, but I do hope that means that the album is soon.

Just stating what I was told that he said, word-for-word verbatim from numerous people that I've talked to over the last couple days that attended the shows this past weekend. He originally was saying March, and now he says "hoping for May," so yes, I too will be surprised if it's actually released in May. Especially when it comes to Kip, lol. He says one thing and does another simply just because that's the kind of guy he is, but his team does so even more. Nothing was even brought up about a single at this point at all. I think that if they were aiming to get something on the radio within the near future, we'd know about it and he would say so during his live shows or at least during his VIP. Who knows for sure though.... But to recap: no news on single, album he's "hoping for May," and right now they are taking 4 months off of the road because they have been touring NON stop. Doesn't seem like much is completely set in stone with anything in the Kip world right now.
