This was already posted in the "Broken" thread but I'll put it in the 'Upcoming Albums' thread, too. From Music Row: Is there a track listing yet for the EP's? Not that I'm aware of. I put everything here that was in the Music Row link. I'm sure it will be revealed shortly.

Caroline Kole Starstruck Records January 22nd, 2016 Available on iTunes - Apple Music - Spotify I wasn't sure what to expect, but not expecting much. I actually like her voice and she has a couple of good songs. More on pop side, but I have no problem with that. Also, she looks/sounds young, so good potential :) On a number of songs she reminds me of Kellie Coffey from the early 2000s. See The Stars I'd probably confuse the two if I heard it on the radio.

Cyndi Lauper is taking a musical detour with a collection of classic country covers, fittingly called Detour. The 12-track album includes guest features from Vince Gill, Emmylou Harris, Jewel, Alison Krauss and Willie Nelson. Detour showcases Lauper’s take on country songs made popular in the 1940s, ’50s and ’60s, like two Pasty Cline songs, “Walkin’ After Midnight” and “I Fall to Pieces.” “I spent a lot of time in my room singing with Patsy,” Lauper says in a press release. “I had to sing a Patsy Cline song — or two — because her voice was like one of my girlfriends. That’s how close I felt to her.” Lauper recorded Detour in Nashville. It is her first release on Sire Records and was produced by Seymour Stein. She says she has dreamed about recording a country album for years and grew up listening to Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn and Wanda Jackson in her Aunt Gracie’s kitchen. “When I was a really young kid, country music was pop music, so this is what we grew up listening to,” she explains. “These songs are part of some of my earliest memories so it has been an absolute thrill to revisit them.” Cyndi Lauper’s Detour will be available on May 6.Cyndi Lauper, Detour Track Listing 1. “Funnel of Love” 2. “Detour” featuring Emmylou Harris 3. “Misty Blue” 4. “Walkin’ After Midnight” 5. “Heartaches by the Number” 6. “The End of the World” 7. “Night Life” featuring Willie Nelson 8. “Begging to You” 9. “You’re the Reason Our Kids Are Ugly” featuring Vince Gill 10. “I Fall to Pieces” 11. “I Want to Be a Cowboy’s Sweetheart” featuring Jewel 12. “Hard Candy Christmas” featuring Alison Krauss tasteofcountry.com/cyndi-lauper-country-classics-album-detour/

Cool! I'm not a Cyndi Lauper fan but there's some solid selections in that lineup and she enlisted some great featured guests for the album, so I'm interested in at least hearing some of them.

I just can't believe that THIS is the cover Cyndi chose to come up with. That's a beginners Photoshop class gone bad.

I wouldn't expect it out before May/June, honestly. How's it compare sonically to his debut album? I saw him play "Taking My Heartbeat Higher" live and it is much more "modern" than his debut songs.

I'm always interested in new MCC music. She's one of my very favourite songwriters of all time. I'm glad she's still releasing new music on a somewhat regular basis.

Artist: Sean Watkins (of Nickel Creek) Album: What To Fear Artist: Thirty Tigers Release date: March 18, 2016
Singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Sean Watkins has long been known for his work as one-third of the Grammy Award-winning trio Nickel Creek and, more recently, for helming the itinerant and genre-hopping ensemble Watkins Family Hour with his sister Sara. However, in the last year he has more assertively - and impressively - taken on the role of solo artist. On March 18, Sean will release his new album What To Fear via Thirty Tigers, a follow-up to 2014's acclaimed All I Do Is Lie, which had been his first solo record in nearly a decade.
"Ever since I was a kid, I always thought it was so funny when some news anchor would say something like 'Are the shoes you're wearing giving you cancer? Stay tuned for the answer right after this!' and then an ad comes on which they get paid for. It's a pretty simple and genius plan," said Watkins. "Where we get our information from is very important. Fear can keep us safe, but it can also cause us to make harsh reactionary decisions that we regret later."
On his own, Watkins displays tremendous warmth and soulfulness as a singer, a refreshing candor and humor as a lyricist, and prodigious skill as an arranger. On What To Fear, he bolsters an acoustic lineup with a rock rhythm section, bringing drama and drive to these new tracks while keeping intact the emotional intimacy of all the stories he is telling.
Watkins deftly juggles the observational and the autobiographical, convincingly taking on the personalities of others - a stalker, a preacher, a cynical newscaster - and then juxtaposing them with a voice that is clearly his own. Watkins' singing unites disparate narrative threads; he's disarmingly honest and sympathetic, no matter whom the character he is channeling might be. Similarly, he has managed to combine the work of his acoustic collaborators - the gifted young Northern Californian trio Bee Eaters - with the robust bass and drums combo of Matt Chamberlain and Mike Elizondo.
What To Fear includes guest-star turns from Sara as well as pianist Benmont Tench (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers) and bassist Sebastian Steinberg (Soul Coughing). Having friends and family on board has long been a hallmark of every Watkins project, however What To Fear is all about Sean Watkins himself, front and center, as his songwriting matures and his persona as a solo performer blooms.
Unlike most of his peers, Watkins has been a performer for more than 25 years. He was a mere 12 years old when he played his first gig with Nickel Creek at a San Diego pizza parlor who's star ascended quickly, including a "Best Contemporary Folk Album" Grammy with 2002's This Side. Since then, Watkins has released three solo efforts as well as albums with Switchfoot frontman Jon Foreman as the duo Fiction Family and with fellow guitarist Glen Phillips as Works Progress Administration, an eight-piece band featuring a stellar lineup of fellow L.A. session players. He's also been regularly invited to record and tour with many other musicians, among them Jackson Browne and Lyle Lovett.
Track List: 01) What To Fear 02) Last Time For Everything 03) I Am What You Want 04) Keep Your Promises II 05) Everything 06) Where You Were Living 07) Too Little Too Late 08) Local Honey 09) Tribulations 10) Back On My Feet

Artist: William Michael Morgan Album: William Michael Morgan EP Music label: Warner Music Nashville Release date: March 18, 2016
The William Michael Morgan EP is WMN's introduction of William Michael to the world. Riding the growing chart success of his debut single "I Met A Girl", this EP promises to showcase "William's unique vocal skills, and will serve as a great launching pad to his debut LP later in 2016" according to the label. There are 6 songs on the EP, including the hit "I Met A Girl"
William Michael Morgan is a singer and songwriter who was too young to order a beer when he made his first steps toward Nashville stardom. Morgan was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi on May 13, 1993. His parents enjoyed classic country music, and by the time he was six, Morgan was a Marty Robbins fan, fascinated with a song he'd heard around the house. By the time he was nine, Morgan had his first guitar, and spent much of his free time teaching himself to play songs by Keith Whitley and Mark Chesnutt, sometimes checking out instructional videos online when he had trouble figuring out licks. When Morgan was 12, inspired by seeing a Dierks Bentley concert, the youngster began playing out in public, and soon formed a band with local pickers -- most old enough to be his father -- that performed in Vicksburg and the surrounding area on weekends. In 2006, 13-year-old Morgan and his band independently released an album, Always Country, and he worked part-time during the week to help finance his musical projects. Morgan was 16 when he started visiting Nashville, Tennessee on a regular basis for songwriting sessions, and at 18, Morgan moved to the Music City to follow his dream. At 19, Morgan had landed a publishing contract with Warner/Chappell Music as well as a recording deal with Warner Music Nashville. Morgan's first single for Warner, "I Met a Girl," was released in July 2015, and received enthusiastic reviews from the country music blogosphere before gaining airplay on terrestrial and satellite radio alike. In September 2015, Morgan followed the path of his heroes when he was booked to make his first appearance on the Grand Ol' Opry.
EP track listing:
1. Vinyl 2. Beer Drinker 3. I Met A Girl 4. Lonesomeville 5. Cheap Cologne 6. Back Seat Driver

Artist: Griffin House Album: So on and so Forth Label: Evening Records Release date: March 4, 2016
After a successful Pledge Music campaign, Griffin House has delivered his new album to his subscribers and has promised a March 4 release date through digital music retailers including i-Tunes.
The album includes one particularly personal song as the artist pays tribute to Paris on his new track “Paris Calling (Sweet Sensation).”
In the wake of the recent Paris attacks, House wanted to show support for the people and city that changed his life more than a decade ago. While studying abroad, he spent his days living wandering the streets, attending Shakespearian parties and working (and living) in a bookstore, in what he calls a “transformative experience.”
“For me, Paris will always be a place that can be described by three words; magical, surreal, and enchanting. My heart is in love there – in love with life itself. I celebrated the completion of my album with a return this summer to my favorite city on Earth,” says House. “I was so saddened by this awful tragedy and the suffering it has brought to such a beautiful city and their beautiful people. I send this song out to the people of Paris, who I know will not let this darkness get in the way of the joyous life that abounds in the City of Light.” 1. Yesterday Lies 2. Games 3. Played the Fool 4. Straight in the Night 5. Paris Calling (Sweet Sensation) 6. Further 3:33 7. Stop and Rest 8. Easy Come Easy Go 9. A Painting by Hieronymus Bosch 10. Wrecking Ball 11. Silver Line 12. Omaha

Artist: Lockhart Album: Reckless Release date: Mar. 1, 2016
Lockhart is comprised of American Idol finalist Janell Wheeler and country songwriter Johnny Bulford, who has penned hit songs including Chris Young's "Lonely Eyes" and Lee Brice's "A Woman Like You." The two formed their duo when both of their paths lead them to Nashville, though they began as friends in Orlando, Florida.
Janell started singing and songwriting in church at an early age. She toured her home state of Florida playing shows and competing in singing competitions. At one of those competitions she met Johnny Bulford (Winner of the Colgate Country Showdown) and a friendship, and music relationship was made.
When Johnny and Janell connected in Nashville they fell in love through music and went on to form Lockhart. With Johnny's powerhouse vocals, and Janell's sweet sultry style, their music is set apart by incredible writing, and love behind every word. Their voices fit together seamlessly creating warm harmonies that beg to be listened to over and over again, and they light up the stage when they share it.
Track listing: 1 Saturday Night 2 Take You Home 3 Reckless 4 How Many Times 5 Never Mind 6 Crazy Nights 7 On My Way to You - listen here: www.facebook.com/WeAreLOCKHART/?fref=ts

Has anybody heard a release date yet for Keith Urban's Ripcord album? It looks like we may have a 3rd single out before we get the album. Either that or he's going to pull a George Strait and Eric Church and release it surprisingly out of the blue.

Has anybody heard a release date yet for Keith Urban's Ripcord album? It looks like we may have a 3rd single out before we get the album. Either that or he's going to pull a George Strait and Eric Church and release it surprisingly out of the blue. If somebody had heard, it would have been posted here.. The album's not done yet and it won't be a surprise release. George Strait and Eric Church dropped their albums at the same time as the lead singles, and nobody really knew that they had recorded those albums (hence, they were "surprises"). With Keith, we know he's been working on Ripcord for more than a year now...so obviously it won't be a surprise. An album can't be a surprise release if we know it's coming and if it's already produced 2 singles, lol. There are posts about Keith's album back on page 49 of this thread ( see here) and it's also been discussed in the "Break On Me" thread. All we know is that it's titled Ripcord, and that Keith is hoping to have it out before his tour starts in early June (which could mean a late May/early June release), but there's no guarantee that he'll be finished with it in time. Rest assured, when the release date is announced, it will be posted here. If nothing has been posted, it's because nothing has been announced.. :)
