"On My Mind" Written by Ellie Goulding, Max Martin, Savan Kotecha and Ilya Produced by Max Martin and Ilya "On My Mind" is the first single from Ellie Goulding's upcoming third album Delirium due out November 6. The track was released WW on September 17 and it goes for CHR/Pop adds on September 22.
{Original Post}Although "Love Me Like You Do" hasn't peaked already (and I don't think it will happen any time soon), a new song from Ellie Goulding is expected to come out in March according to an interview she did with Max on Capital FM and it may be the lead single from her third upcoming album.

There was a sizzle from Interscope on the iHeartMedia Music Summit, which includes the track "On My Mind", so looks like this will be a new release from her.

The track is described as an upbeat pop banger and it's a guitar-led, Swiftian tale of a drunken hook-up with a tattooed admirer, inspired by a time when she was on tour, drinking too much and going off the rails, according to the October digital issue from Q Magazine.

Expected to be out sometime next month! Also, she mentioned on Capital FM that the video will have a Thelma and Louise theme and the track is produced by Max Martin, although it was easy to deduce that because of the 'upbeat pop banger' and 'guitar-led, Swiftian tale' things.

This is the era that makes her. In a year from now, everyone will be sick of Ellie and I can't wait because that'll mean everyone just wants their wigs returned.

I have a feeling we'll be getting her 1989, which is fine and she deserves fame and coins, but I will miss the flawlessness of ha dark side on Halcyon.

She is in a perfect position now to blow up. So much traction. She needs the right song and she will be a superstar. Indeed she has, especially in the US. From starting out being known for other peoples remixes of her songs (especially Bassnectar), to the gradual buildup of Lights, to the added credibility and a base not only from the Calvin Harris collaborations, but also from being one of the first acts of the decade to actively cater and communicate with the festival crowd, (the EDM wave has played a key part in her rise, and in a small way vice versa too), to f**king Skrillex when he was a thing, to the daring start to Halcyon, before an undeniable turnaround of what was deemed a sophomore slump into a true cementation and further breakthrough, never truly letting her desire to go further let her lose her roots, to serenading housewives arousal for the first time since the Bill Clinton years through the song from that terrible movie earlier this year, right down to Ed Sheeran dragging her personal life into the limelight and unknowingly finally giving her some smidgeon of a personality that she needed. Now more than ever, not only are there people checking for her, more importantly there are even more who would not be opposed to her. There is no one who is really competing with her at this moment since so many are off their normal routine or ending campaigns, or smoking a blunt and not really caring if their album comes out this year. Adele is only really competing with herself, and Beyonce (whose crossover success has waned in recent years) is in a position of her own as well. They'll be held up more directly against themselves. And most importantly, you know that she wants it. While people have been wondering about whose busting in Rita Ora's mouth, Ellie has been the industry's true Eve Harrington. Starting out as the lowest understudy, to slowly, but coyly and relentlessly climbing up through the dirt, not escaping unscathed from ginger gnomes and wack haired dementors, sidestepping at just the right moments when other contemporaries such as Marina and Ke$ha stumbled, waiting for her time, biding her energy this whole year even though you could tell she's been about to burst. And now, at long last, she's about to strike. The kids can dig her, mom can dig her, maybe even grandma. She can make the nice girls smile, the bad girls feel better, and grab the male gaze as well. She can even sing you into all those drug states those cool kids are into. If all eyes are not on her, then this is the best she's going to get, and the potential and desire are more than there. It's now or never. This could be her California Gurls moment, where the combination of want, potential, timing, and most importantly the proper material meet, where she ignites so much, and goes on such a tear, that her status and appeal will be impossible to deny. Fingers crossed guys!

She has always been a quality pop singer, I would love to see her blow up but I do not want her music to become too formulaic or bland! Hopefully she can keep her unique pop flavor and still blow up!

It's now or never. Fingers crossed guys! Eve Harrington is the best comparison in the world. This girl has been RUTHLESS the past two years in her quest to conquer. While I've been annoyed by her participation in the Taylor Mafia, she got in with Max. She's done what she's had to to get where she wants to be...even if she may be a little lucky Rita has been drawing all that negative attention (OH the gossip). I hope that she doesn't lose her personality, and the rawness and introspection that made her unique in order to try and take the Queen of Pop title for a spin.

Yes. The adds date were posted by FMQB. That said, there's still no official announcement when it's going to be premiered and/or released, but I'm very confident that it will be next Friday, unless she and/or Interscope pulls an OA/OS release on September 19 because of her Apple Music Festival performance on that date. Another possibility is that the track could receive a WW premiere on September 17 if it's taken into the consideration the time zones and if it's indeed released digitally on September 18.
