This was a really solid effort from Britney and quite the comeback. I remember when I bought the album I literally listened to it in full multiple times a day for almost an entire year This could have been one of her best albums if songs like "Amnesia" or "Trouble" were added to the original tracklist and songs like "My Baby" or "Lace and Leather" were taken out. I understand that they were going for a more pop sound though and less of the edgy sound that we heard from Britney with In the Zone and Blackout. When the songs hit, they really hit here: "Womanizer", "Circus", "Kill the Lights", "If U Seek Amy", "Unusual You", "Mannequin" and the bonus tracks were all amazing. "Rock Me In" could have been a single (again, why are the best songs here on the bonus tracks or on some type of Japanese edition?). Why put a bland song like "Out from Under" on the album when there's a song like "Quicksand" that could have taken its place? Anyway, the album was still great even though it could have been one of her best, if not her best, with a better A&R choosing the songs to be included. "Blur" is a underrated urban bop!

Fucking amazing, like all of her non-Britney Jean albums.

The perfect tracklisting for the standard would have been: 1. Womanizer 2. Circus 3. Out From Under 4. Kill the Lights 5. Shattered Glass 6. If U Seek Amy 7. Unusual You 8. Blur 9. Mannequin 10. Lace and Leather 11. Rock Me In 12. Phonography 13. Quicksand
It's definitely one of her strongest albums to date.

Half of this album is really good, but the other half is like...really, really bad. Probably in my bottom 3 Britney albums.

I remember when the Megamix of the first four songs + 'If U Seek Amy' leaked. I don't think I've been so excited about one of her projects. 'Circus' hasn't aged well for me, but 'Amy' remains one of the best moments of her career.
Underrated album, with only a handful of throwaways. Probably top 3.

This was a good album, indeed. I remember bopping to Mannequin ALOT back then. My other faves are Circus, Lace and Leather, Radar, Out From Under, and Kill The Lights.

Solid album from her, one of the few consistent albums she has had in her career. I was very impressed and surprised. Loved the singles obliviously, "Kill The Lights" & "Unusual You".
Anybody remember the Britney: For The Record documentary for the album? It was very revealing and it definitely touched me about her struggles prior to this record and how she coped with fame at that time. It's a great documentary and I'd advise for anyone to go check that out if you can.
