Video is so whatever. Don't think it's gonna be enough to push it to #1 like WFL. Let's hope the performance will do it

53 adds on CHR/Pop (most added) AllAccess's numbers aren't final yet, but counting the number of stations in the pop-up shows the number's more like 86 adds.

Actually, this got 23 adds on CHR/Rhythmic, making it most added on there, too YASSS! I should really wait before posting the adds numbers lmfao

The video was what I expected; pretty uneventful. Still can't get into the song, Rihanna's voice just irks me when she does that scratchy thing (not to mention the autotuned backing vocals of Paul I think?) in the song and I really don't like Kanye's part of the song. I think if Kanye/Paul were taken out and Rihanna didn't do the scratchy sounds I think I would enjoy this.

Simple and uneventful video. Won't watch it again. Don't like the denim look, but I know that's the exact image they wanted to go for with this kickstart for her era. I still think the song is good and I'm looking forward to the performance!

Ehh I kinda like it but it could have been beter The ending feels so anticlimatic though. This is probably the next Billboard #1. I just hope Thinking Out Loud can overtake Uptown Funk before that.

I like this song. It's so different from her and I was skeptic about it based on the title and some of the feedback I'd heard, but it's pretty good. Her voice sounds really nice on this.

Kanye was really awkward in that video, his actions didn't fit the mood of the song at ALL. Made me laugh tbh! He's spazzin'. EDIT: Or willin'? I never could tell the difference...

We're not sold on it at my station... kind of sounds like a mess, so we decided to put it up against our most polarizing new song... "She Keeps Me Up" by Nickelback in our Fresh Tracks Battle. And somehow Nickelback won in a landslide. It's a tough song to embrace on first listen. So bad that people would rather hear NICKELBACK. Nickelback just beat this in another face-off, but this time in St. Louis lmaoooooooo

But I do now think it will be a decent sized hit perhaps with nice longevity. Which is way more than I originally thought.

LA stations are refusing to play the original. I've heard a remix with a different beat at least 4 times, which kind of defeats the purpose of the song.
I suppose it's an original mix as I've heard it on both KAMP and KIIS.
That said, I still think this song is total shit.

I actually prefer the original, I've given it time to grow, and now every remix of it sounds off... the original is sloppy, but for some reason... it's working for me!

I agree that this is a type of song that does not lend itself well to remixes; most of them sound like an overproduced mess.

I liked the original a lot, but I think this DJ Mustard remix is interesting. I like those atmospheric "Lights"-sounding keys throughout it though. The production is nice on its own. I agree that this is a type of song that does not lend itself well to remixes; most of them sound like an overproduced mess. I agree with that sentiment as well, though I think most remixers would approach it in a way where they change it too much. There are some times when they cannot stray too much from the original's melody or other production aspects.

There are some times when they cannot stray too much from the original's melody or other production aspects. Definitely. It changes the whole vibe of the song in a way that makes the final product not 100% appealing.

Frankly, the video is what you expect from artist who doesn't have too much money for a video, or for a fourth or fifth video of a big artist. But i'm starting to like the song, i still hate Kanye's part (not for him but for the awful noises) but the song is ok and probably a grower.
And it's nice when big artists doesn't fear to take risks

There's really nothing behind this (on Pop) that will give this much competition, and I think Style is enough ahead that it would have peaked by the time this gets to the upper echelons of the chart.
I just NEED for Uptown Funk to start peaking in sales soon :'(

Inez & Vinoodh did a great job. I love the work they do with Lady Gaga. This is the perfect video for a song like this, inspired by a Calvin Klein or Gap commercial. Anything else would have been too much.

Rihanna wasn't even born the last time Paul charted this high on the Hot 100. Crazy.

Yasss, Top15 already! :'( The sales could've been a little higher, though, but next week streaming will be factored!

Rihanna wasn't even born the last time Paul charted this high on the Hot 100. Crazy. Not solo. But the Fab Four's last charting song on the Hot 100 to date is "Real Love", which debuted and peaked at #11 in March 1996. :) {Spoiler}Probably a good chance most of us weren't born yet when Paul last charted this high solo, either ;) - actually it was 29 years ago this month, February 15 to be exact.
