Yeah that cover was awful, original is superior.

Looks like a sure top 3 for the band. Slash is only ahead by a 7 point lead and both Pretty Reckless and Zac Brown are on negatives. I hope it jumps over Slash by next week?

Took one more week than I expected ,but up to #3 and the numbers don't look so terrible. Really happy for this song. I actually see this peaking at #2 before Seether and Halestorm do some damage.

I think #3 is the highest this can go. Look at the gap between the #2 and #3 songs.
1 1 BREAKING BENJAMIN Failure 2177 2034 143 6.413 2 2 ZAC BROWN BAND Heavy Is The Head f/C. Cornell 1932 1937 -5 6.383 5 3 THEORY OF A DEADMAN Angel 1393 1310 83 3.641 4 4 SLASH Bent To Fly 1385 1369 16 3.77 7 5 THREE DAYS GRACE Human Race 1327 1193 134 3.268 8 6 ROYAL BLOOD Little Monster 1319 1184 135 3.537
That's over 500 spins. And Breaking Benjamin is still moving up. Zac Brown Band is also holding steady. Plus, Three Days Grace and Little Monster will eventually pass it.

However it it manages to hold it s own at #3 for a few more weeks, it might just pull off a "Follow Me Down"? I don't mean, go #1; Though, I would love it, but perhaps inch to #2 before starting to desend. All in all ;#3 is still a respectable peak for the band. I recall members saying this wouldn't even have a chance on Active.

I swear, between this and Three Days Grace, Canadian bands are doing better in the US than Canada.

Up to #2!
1 1 BREAKING BENJAMIN Failure 2200 2150 50 6.812 4 2 THEORY OF A DEADMAN Angel 1682 1433 249 4.599 2 3 ZAC BROWN BAND Heavy Is The Head f/C. Cornell 1633 1806 -173 5.414 5 4 THREE DAYS GRACE Human Race 1576 1420 156 4.137 3 5 ROYAL BLOOD Little Monster 1560 1443 117 4.166
Not sure whether this will be #2 next week on Billboard though, as heritage rock will benefit Zac Brown Band and Three Days Grace.

That bullet is insane considering this is a song that no rock and rool band would dare push on active a couple years ago.

I can't believe this rebounded so well, especially at the expense of Little Monster which is now struggling to regain ground. If Royal Blood doesn't get a #1...

So this is now 200+ spins away from both Royal Blood and TDG, and this gained 43 spins yesterday, the biggest spin gain among the top 50 (but not the largest bullet). If it keeps gaining at this pace, #1 is on lock by next week or the week after. Shocking, because the lead single only peaked at #4. Hands down the biggest surprise active hit of the year so far (besides Dead Inside) kworb.net/radio/

More like been waiting for this to happen. ;)

I know I'm late joining in here, but I want to throw in my two cents. Honestly, Theory of a Deadman is probably one of my least favorite bands of all time. I mean, they followed the coattails of Nickelback, and are the most stereotypical, cock rock band I've ever heard. However...I do like this song. The chorus is generic and sounds reminiscent of "Sorry" by Buckcherry, but it's otherwise pretty good. Can't believe I'm saying this, but I want to see this go #1.
I think this could actually do well on Pop charts. I feel like it would fit in better there than on Active where it's performing so well. I doubt they'll try to crossover, but I think this song has potential.

No song that has done better on active than alternative has crossed over to CHR since "If You Only Knew" in 2010. Hot AC has only had a few, and even then they've all flopped there. Young millennials and generation z-ers tend not to really like nu metal, post grunge, and hard rock (rock and rool) bands. It's unfortunate, but all musical styles have to die out or evolve eventually.

It doesn't hurt to try to send this to Pop formats. Its chances are pretty low considering Nickelback not even being able to nail the Top 20 on Hot AC with the 3 singles they have sent for their current era.

The way things are at the moment; this song wouldn't even perform well on the HOT AC chart. That's where I think it could have a fighting chance and definatly would have gone #1 in the mid 2000s

When's the last time a 3rd single hit #1 after two underperforming singles?

When's the last time a 3rd single hit #1 after two underperforming singles? In the context of a band with as much past success as TOAD, I can't think of any. However, the argument could be made for Skillet's "Awake and Alive".
