Heard this on the radio yesterday for the first time and loved it. These guys really remind me so much of Rascal Flatts. I see a lot of resemblances in vocals and musical style between the two acts, and being as I quite like RF, I think that's a good thing. Especially if radio is getting to the point where they might stop playing new RF music in the not-so-distant future, then it'd be nice to have something of a successor.

^^^^^Thanks so much for posting! I was at this concert (fabulous of course as all KU concerts are-and Phillip Phillips was great as a middle opener) and left briefly to see a little of The Blind Boys of Alabama at another stage (At Summerfest in Milwaukee-where fabulous music is simultaneously playing on many different stages) and was sad when my friends said I missed this- so great to see it posted here. Keith is so generous to young artists-a great mentor.
Back on topic-Dan + Shay are good live vocalists. I'm hearing this song quite a bit on my local station-I hope it goes somewhere, I like it more with each listen; nice summer song without being all party-hearty.

:) I was literally saying "what the hell does this have to do with the song?!" through the entire video...then the end came. I guess they just wanted to have this music video be something to raise awareness for animal adoption. The video almost has as many likes as views so far, lol. I'm guessing that even though this video has almost nothing to do with the premise of the song, the cute dogs and puppies will make people not care.

Man that was an intresting video. Cute but really cheesy.
Looking ahead to this week looks like Dan + Shay are probably gonna stay at #24. As while Easton is going recurrent Kenny Chesney is just blasting thru song after song.
The good news is that Dan + Shay should be hitting the Top 20 relatively soon. The only ones I'm sure that are gonna hit the Top 20 beforehand are Chase Kenny FGL and maybe Kip. So they'd be 4th to 5th. This song I'd imagine along with label-mate Jana are gonna be in it for the long haul.
Best of luck to Dan + Shay and Jana Kramer.

"Nothin' Like You" makes a big 5-spot jump on Billboard tonight, moving 25-20, passing Kip Moore, Lady A, and Old Dominion in the process. This is now Dan + Shay's 2nd top 20 hit ("Show You Off" peaked at #21).
I think this will go at least top 15, and it might even be able to best the #11 peak of "19 You + Me".

I must say, this is doing much, much better than I anticipated. I saw this scraping top 30 at best, but it looks like they might even have their first BB top 10 outta this.

I'm impressed. I, too, was kind of expecting this to peak lower than the first two singles because I figured they'd continue to see diminishing returns on each subsequent single (especially considering the last just missed the Top 20). I guess since they aren't females they aren't susceptible to the "each subsequent single must be far less successful and peak at least 10-20 positions lower" so I probably shouldn't have bet against them. I think this is the best single of the three though, so I am all for it being the biggest hit. I've really grown to love hearing this one on the radio a lot. Would honestly be pretty happy to see this go down as their first Top 10 hit! <3

Their album is fantastic and I'm really surprised they've had this much struggle getting attention.

Bleah, way too Hunter Hayes-ish for me. "19 You + Me" worked for me because of the nostalgia angle, but everything else I've heard from them so far just sounds too teenybopper and green.

It's weird, cause I'd normally agree with you, and I don't know why but I actually find their music (being teenybopper as you said) charmingly appealing. In fact, I like them better than Hunter Hayes and Rascal Flatts, two artists I've seen them often be compared to.

The special guest has something the headliners don't-a #1 hit!

Ugh, I'd love to go to that but Columbia is too far for a show that's not Hunter.

"Nothin' Like You" is trending to be Dan + Shay's first top 10 single. Its gained 140 spins and 600k in audience this week and "Nothin' Like You" has been helped out tremendously by big market stations. WKLB in Boston has contributed to over 1.2 of this song's audience and its in heavy rotation in Orlando, Chicago, Nashville, Raleigh and Charlotte. Those six markets have accounted for roughly 4.0 million of "Nothin' Like You's" audience.
This song literally did nothing for me when I first heard it, back when their album came out but its grown on me so much that its most definitely one of my favorite songs charting.

Interesting how after Show You Off bombed, this one is moving rapidly. I still think it's funny how it sounds more like "Hunter Hayes + Jason Mraz" than "Everybody's Got Somebody but Me", which actually WAS a duet between those two artists, did.

Funny how in 2015 'moving rapidly' means taking 29 weeks to make the top 15, but I agree, I'm surprised at this one's success. I thought it would have brickwalled awhile ago.

I still wouldn't consider this to be moving rapidly, even by today's standards. In fact, if this does go to #1, it will last over 40 weeks on the chart. Since the longest uninterrupted climb to #1 on the Billboard chart is 49 weeks, I can't call a song that takes over 40 weeks to get to #1 rapid even for a third single from an act that's never had a Top 10 before. This is definitely a sleeper hit, and if the charts were more crowded with big hits like they were last summer I don't know that this wouldn't have gotten lost in the shuffle.

This is decent.
Hopefully they'll release some better material as they get older, but for now, I can see why they're releasing material in the vein of Rascal Flatts/Hunter Hayes.
This reminds me of early RF more than anything I've heard from them so far, in terms of subject matter, harmony, and especially vocals.
I like the heavy dose of harmony, and I've found their singles to be well-produced and enjoyable, at best. They aren't an act I'd personally support, but they're also better than most of the superstar acts on the radio right now.
This is a bit juvenile for my tastes, but again, I can't fault them too much, considering the demographic they're going for.

Yeah, this hasn't had a fast run at all, lol. I still think it's funny how it sounds more like "Hunter Hayes + Jason Mraz" than "Everybody's Got Somebody but Me", which actually WAS a duet between those two artists, did. This sounds a lot more like a Rascal Flatts song (even beyond just vocal resemblance) than either of those two. This doesn't sound like Jason Mraz at all to me. I find that to be a really strange comparison, honestly.

I'm referring to Jason Mraz more in the lyrical content. It has that fratty "White guy with guitar" tone in the lyrics that makes me think more "I'm Yours" than anything else. Not so much in the sound, just the way it's written.

It will take another week or two but "Nothin' Like You' will become Dan + Shay's first top 10 single. This song will most likely land at #12 on this week's MB chart and is up 400 spins and 2.3 million in total audience.

How crazy is it that this is on track to be their first top-10. Very difficult to think of an artist who couldn't hit top ten with the first single, but got an album release...and then came back two singles later to reach the top ten. Our predictions were a little off on this one.

Yeah this songs success has completely surprised me. Not that I ever doubted it's radio friendliness or it's ability to fit in station playlists, but I just figured their momentum this album era was decreasing fast. I've very happy to see this one is top 10 bound. I'd love to get a 4th single from them, but my guess is they'll take a few months off before giving us a new single, maybe at the beginning of 2016. Their debut album is pretty flawless though, it's nothing but ear worms.

^You really think they'll go four singles deep? This'll go at least top 5 and probably #1, but their album has been out close to two years and while this did restore some of their momentum I don't think they've got enough to get another single from this era up the charts very quickly. It could be another 40-week climb, and then that would mean their next album may not come out until late next year, or even early 2017. Not to mention their album doesn't appear to be selling much and this single wasn't exactly strong on the digital front either.
I would love if they did decide to go ahead and release a fourth single since I love literally every track on this album, especially "First Time Feeling," "Somewhere Only We Know," and "What You Do to Me." Personally I thought they had like five or six #1 hits on this album. It's disappointing to see how things have turned out. A combination of bad luck on the charts and disappointing single decisions kind of got in the way here.
