Emerging markets like Northern California? Well, not just here. Many of the smartphones and tablets cannot handle the resource-hogging apps that well. There's nothing wrong with a small compact app that can get the job done.

Anything with at least a GB of ram should be able to handle it sufficiently on mobile devices.

What exactly is the difference between the the regular subscription and the family plan? Is it just the ability to maintain different profiles and playlists under one paid account? If you get five friends to go in on one account that's only $3 per month each. Now that's a pretty sweet deal!
But either way, I will definitely let my Spotify subscription lapse while I check out Apple Music for those first three months. "Play me the best songs from 1994"? Really?!

ooh a three month free trial? was expecting like a one months trial at most tbh
just hoping that there will be some way to move your spotify playlists or something like that, because spotify already hogs up a fuckton of space on my phone and I don't really want to remove any other of my apps to compensate tbh lmao

I'm kind of already sold. So will it have Taylor Swift's music? Yes. I'm planning on giving Apple Music a shot. I like that you can combine your personal music library with the streaming library. I know you can kind of do the same with Spotify, but its offline feature always gives me trouble.

Prince Removes Music From Most Streaming Services -- Except TIDAL ARTICLESDIGITAL AND MOBILENEWS By Colin Stutz | July 01, 2015 8:59 PM EDT Prince has done a good job of making it known that he's not exactly a fan of modern technology, at least not when it comes to selling his music. Now The Purple One's publisher has pulled all his music from streaming searches except for TIDAL, without any public explanation. Prince Turns 57: His 5 Most Memorable Career Moments "Prince's publisher has asked all streaming services to remove his catalog. We have cooperated with the request, and hope to bring his music back as soon as possible," says a note on Prince's Spotify page. His music has also been removed from Apple Music and Rdio. For some time Prince's legally team has worked to pull his music off YouTube and the song "Breakfast Can Wait" remains the only track on his channel. Sources say Prince is using Web Sheriff to send notices to digital services. According to sources, the notice from Web Sheriff says that Prince has pulled his music from all U.S. PROs, so there are no reciprocal rights abroad. He wants all digital service to pull down his music, as recorded by him, so that once they have complied, they can negotiate with his owned publish company. Once they agree to whatever rate he is seeking, digital services can then put his music back up. The takedown notice doesn't impact those songs of his covered by other artists. Services are still allowed to play songs like Sinead O'Connor's "Nothing Compares 2 U," which Prince wrote and she covered. Meanwhile, it's not clear if Web Sheriff has reached all digital services yet, as Prince music is still available on Pandora. Either Pandora hasn't yet been contacted, or it has a deal in place with Prince to play his music. www.billboard.com/articles/news/6613309/prince-removes-music-from-most-streaming-services-except-tidalSomething fishy is definitely going on behind the scenes. Why Tidal?

Prince has done a good job of making it known that he's not exactly a fan of modern technology, at least not when it comes to selling his music. Now The Purple One's publisher has pulled all his music from streaming searches except for TIDAL, without any public explanation. The funny thing is that he was all about the internet a few years ago. He would sell exclusive editions of his albums and other unreleased material on his own fansite and fan club and then he stopped all that. In 2010, Prince declared that the internet was "over". He said, "The internet's completely over. I don't see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else. I really believe in finding new ways to distribute my music." And of course, he put up some of his songs on iTunes randomly a few times and even did put some on Spotify and YouTube. He famously won't allow any of his songs or videos on YouTube or other video sites. Let's see how long it is before he removes his music from Tidal. Prince needs to stop all this nonsense and get to work on releasing that 30th anniversary edition of Purple Rain with the bonus materials and unreleased songs that he announced last year.

This doesn't sound like he's being anti-streaming entirely, just that he is trying to pull a lowkey Taylor and negotiate a different pay rate. He may have been able to do that with Tidal already b/c of the Jay/Bey connection? I don't know. No one can ever really follow his train of thought.

Well that shows how much of a damn NOBODY gives about Tidal, b/c if anyone had come in here in the past two days they would have pointed out by now that your link only redirects back to your post for some reason, lol.

Something fishy is definitely going on behind the scenes. Why Tidal? How is that any different than Taylor Swift putting her album on Apple Music but not the other premium-only services that value music similarly (but arguably compensate better)?

I just find it strange because of how much criticism Tidal has been receiving, and the fact that his label could have just kept his music on Apple Music like Taylor.

A beautiful mess. This is what happens when you put too many inflated egos in a room together with bottles of sponsored D’Usse.

Wayne, for his part, should have just released a mixtape instead of roping other people into his mess, but you would think Jay and all the other peeps at Tidal would have gotten some lawyers to look at Wayne's contract and make sure that the inevitable lawsuit that was going to come out of that was a battle they could not only win, but afford to fight...I personally have a feeling Wayne will eventually get out of his contract, but if Tidal didn't at least look into it, they deserve to fail on principle. Not that most of us didn't already think that anyway.

The exaggeration and orchestrated attack on Tidal through the media by competitors has been hilarious yet sad. Then, to see the bandwagon of people that just fall for anything they read. Like the HITS articles that clearly come attached with an agenda. Word on the street is Jimmy Iovine is behind the smear campaign and is upset because he approached Beyonce and a few other artists on the Tidal roster for Apple Music and they declined. It's so obvious how set up this was. Most of the stories were not even true. Tidal is doing just fine. I have Tidal. And it's honestly no different than any other service. But why is no one talking about Apple Music not doing so hot? No big fuss over one of their top executives resigning and leaving the company? LOL www.wsj.com/articles/apple-loses-music-executive-1440775549?mod=e2twOf course not. I pray for the day people have their own minds and do their own research. It's scary how the internet can make people believe anything.

The press conference was a hot ass pretentious mess that did them absolutely zero favors. They didn't even explain the product. It was a big ego show. I still cringe at them all taking turns to sign the contract. And then to have Alicia Keys, of all people, host & carry the conference was just a hot mess. But that has nothing to do with the actual product and obvious smear campaign that has been taking place since. It is what it is. Tidal is still here. The end.
