Ok guys.. I finally decided to create a Top 30 (now Top 150) chart (updated on most weeks). As a fan of alternative music, that will take up a huge chunk of the chart, but I'll try to make an appealing chart to everyone. The order of each song depends on my personal preference. Apologies if this week's chart is not very good but I hope the next few charts will be better.
METHODOLOGIES: Personal Top 150 (Main chart) -Consists of personal picks, and movement of songs depends on my personal preferences. -Songs are usually from a current album era. -Songs are sent recurrent when they fall below #75 and have spent at least 20 weeks on the chart, or when they fall below #50 and have spent at least 26 weeks on the chart.
Bubbling Under -Songs not on either the main chart or the Bubbling Under chart, but have the chance to enter either chart in the future.
Year-End Chart Based on my Crownnote leaderboard from December to November.
The following charts have been retired:
Recurrent Top 40/Flashback Tracks -Consists of recurrents only. The recurrent chart was discontinued in 2016 and replaced by a flashback track chart of 10 songs, not in any particular order, usually based on artists who have recently released or are about to release new material, or nostalgia, or old tracks I've just discovered. As of 2017, I'll only bring up 1 flashback track instead of 10.
Country Top 10 (Hiatus) -Consists of 10 current country songs that are based on my preference. Unlike the Rock chart, the songs are not in the order listed on the top 100. -This is posted in the Weekly Pulse Country Thread. As of March 2017, I've taken a hiatus from posting this chart.
Rock Top 60 (Discontinued) -The same as my top 100 except with only rock songs of my personal preference or/and are sent to rock radio or are rock -Songs drop off when they leave my top 100 or when they are purged. -This was posted under Weekly Alternative/Rock Personal Charts in the rock forum. -Due to increasing similarities between this and the main top 100, it was discontinued in 2016.

Dangerous debuts! Bunch of great songs in and near your top 10, especially Same Damn Life, Something From Nothing, Take Me To Church, Uptown Funk, Lampshades on Fire, and I Am A River.
Quick question because I'm curious, but do you have any eligibility rules for what songs can chart?

Quick question because I'm curious, but do you have any eligibility rules for what songs can chart? With a few exceptions (e.g. Wrong Side of Heaven), the song must be on a current album (younger than 18 months or is still being promoted). I will introduce a recurrent rule after 20 weeks of the chart. I usually don't chart Hot 100 Recurrents too, though there are a few exceptions.

{Spoiler for Next Week's Chart} There will be a new #1 again which means Cage the Elephant will have to vacate from the top spot. Who will compete with them? Seether? Royal Blood? Ed Sheeran? Hozier? Or maybe even Ariana Grande? Stay tuned next week.

The lowdown:
The Grammys helped in some chart movements this week. Four of the Album of the Year artists have gains this week; Ed Sheeran (#1, #21), Sam Smith (#15, #38, #56), Beck, whose charted song here was fueled by his surprise Album of the Year win (#42) and Beyoncé (#40). The other AOTY artist, Pharrell Williams, does not benefit as Happy went recurrent a while back. The Grammy-nominated songs "Chandelier" by Sia and "Take Me to Church" also limb into the top 10 and top 5 rerespectively. Carrie Underwood's "Something in the Water" climbs from #46 to #39, boosted by that song winning Best Country Solo Performance. Finally, Rihanna and Kanye West's "FourFiveSeconds" debuts at #55, boosted by their performance on that show, it's rapid chart climb and the new music video.
The Top 10:
We have a new #1 as Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud" climbs from #4 to #1. Besides the Grammy boost, it is a beautiful song. It is the highest charting pop song on my chart so far. Seether's "Same Damn Life" holds at #2. My chart's previous #1, "Cigarette Daydreams" by Cage the Elephant, drops to #3. The aforementioned Church climbs to #4. Royal Blood's "Figure It Out" drops 1 spot to #5. Three Days Grace's "I Am Machine" climbs three spots to #6. Modest Mouse's "Lampshades On Fire" climbs six spots to #7. Former #1 "Something from Nothing" by Foo Fighters drops to #8, 3 spots down. Pop smash "Love Me Harder" by Ariana Grande & The Weekend drops two spots to #9. Finally, the aforementioned Chandelier climbs 10 spots to #10.
Debuts: Beck - Blue Moon Rihanna, Kanye West & Paul McCartney - FourFiveSeconds Sam Smith - Lay Me Down Maroon 5 - Sugar (first entry for them) Papa Roach - Face Everything and Rise (boosted by rock airplay) Nickelback - Million Miles an Hour Florida Georgia Line - Sun Daze (boosted by country airplay)
The biggest gainer is Sam Smith's "Stay With Me"and the biggest drop is Thomas Rhett's "Make Me Wanna".

Very few songs on this chart I dislike. The Top 10 is mostly rock solid. Also I definitely lean towards the fast-moving chart at the top (doubt I'll ever have 10-week #1 songs), and it's nice to see you do too (as evidenced by a different #1 every week).
Cool to see a bunch of different genres represented too, that's one thing I wish my chart would be a bit better at. Keep it up, great work so far!

Taylor Swift 3 entries!!! Yep. I'm happy about that too, especially considering how much I disliked Shake It Off, but liked the three entries and Welcome to New York.

Great chart, lots of different genres represented! Love seeing Seether at No. 1 on Year to Date!

There is an error on last week's chart as two songs are at #11. Hence, take note that there will be 4 debuts this week and 5 dropouts. There will be NO change to the YTD chart.
