Still not sold on this one, but it is a gold smash compared to "Renegades", so Congrats, untill "Molecules" surprises everyone and jumps from 20 to 1.

This still doesn't really stand out for me as being miles better than anything else CWK ever put out - I feel like now they need to go back and rerelease everything else from the last decade, most of which peaked in the 30s

Billboard RTT now....
Alternative No.1 Elle King Ex's & Oh's +145 Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats S.O.B.
Why...
(prays Elle King loses spins tomorrow so CWK get the #1)
They were just 2 spins apart last week, so I'm a bit surprised at this considering First still has a better bullet.

I wonder how close the margin was for the BB #1 spot - tracker seemed to indicate that Elle King would've been #1 this week (in fact, she's back at #1 on the tracker right now).
Nonetheless, still really happy for these guys. Never would've expected them to bounce back and get their first #1 after "All This Could Be Yours" just barely squeaked into the top 40.

It got to number one I don't know why, it's so boring. Cold War Kids used to get just to top 30.

many stations did specialty programming over labor day. Most records were down on one day.

A new deluxe edition for their album was just released with "Return to Tackyland" (acoustic) versions of this song, "All This Could Be Yours" and "Hot Coals".

If this and Ex's and Oh's get as many spins back tomorrow as they did today, First is back to #1.
For some reason the Labor Day Effect impacted this song a lot more than Elle King, but it looks for the most part that they're still equal in spins. The battle should get interesting after tomorrow.

Ex's And Oh's is so much newer, though, I think it's going to outlast CWK by a long shot
I really wanted this to hit #1 just so CWK could have a #1 song, but it's so whiny I still can't sit all the way through it, so I kind of want this to plummet so they can release something (or re-release something) I like much better

Well once this is done (which it's not totally), I wonder what they'll do to follow it up. They have Hold My Home and the new EP, Five Quick Cuts, to choose from. If they go for the album (which I bet they will), I'd go with "Hot Coals" or "Go Quietly" (guessing "Hot Coals" is next), for the EP I'd go with "Thunderhearts" or "One Song At A Time" (which has a music video). I don't see anything matching, or even coming close to, the success that this did. Maybe Top 30 with any of the four I mentioned.

They killed it...by far the best performance I've seen of it. I guess they're pushing this on CHR and Hot AC. Hopefully it at least cracks the Hot AC top 40.

Good news to those who are a fan of this song, it's still pulling away from Renegades and Ex's & Oh's and I Am and Could Have Been Me are still about 700 spins behind. I think we are looking at this song staying at no. 1 for at least a month more.

This song sounds like it's going to go CHR. It's too catchy.
