You know, I keep thinking about how "the same" all of the songs on this CD sound, with the exception of "Dirt" and "Sun Daze." Every song just has the same damn feeling about it. I don't know if that's a writer problem or a Joey Moi problem.
Their first CD had so many unique upbeat songs that sounded different than one another: "Round Here", "Get Your Shine On", "Cruise", "It'z Just What We Do", "Here's To The Good Times", "Tip It Back", "Party People"...I mean, I really love that CD.
This one, every song just sounds like "Tell Me How You Like It" part 2.
That being said, I prefer "Smoke", "Bumpin' the Night", and "Confession" to this one.

When I first heard that this song was going to be the 3rd single, I was pretty upset because I wasn't that big on it. But after listening to it a few more times, it has really grown on me. Not one of my favorite from the albums, it's still pretty darn good on it's own. Doesn't offer anything new, but it's extremely catchy and should do really well on the charts. Heck, it's already top 100 on iTunes Country Chart and it hasn't even been released yet. But I don't know how much longer they can keep ignoring "Anything Goes" and "Confession", those two are the clear standout on the albums in my opinion. "Confession" might even be able to win over a few fans who aren't normally big on them because it's a little bit deeper of a song from them. But I think "Sippin' On Fire" is an easy 1-2 week chart topper (I would even give this song a chance to be this summer's version of "Play It Again", an absolute hit).
P.S. - Pretty sure this thread will get locked unless there is a more concrete source to confirm release, even though all signs point to it being the next single.

Seeing that KCYY in San Antonio plays this song more often than they do "Sun Daze" as it's been on their playlist for the past couple of months and "Sippin'" is already charting, I definitely think that it's already the third single.

I know that this is something that a lot of people wished that they would do, probably so they'd burn their vocal chords and be unable to keep releasing terrible music.

IMO, this, "Dirt", and "Confession" are the only songs on the album worth a hoot.

I like this one, but Anything Goes and Confession are SCREAMING to be released! It's definitely not like Sun Daze or Dirt, it's got its own feel- I don't even hear too many similarities. Easy listen going into spring and summer.

Is them filming the video and confirming it as a single enough evidence?

Is them filming the video and confirming it as a single enough evidence? Did they confirm it though? I haven't seen anything in the press about it yet. And a video doesn't also mean a single release (See Jake Owen's "Ghost Town" and Eli Young Band's "Prayer For The Road"). It does appear that this is the next single regardless though.

I don't remember a whole lot from their last album (which is a good thing) but after listening to this one again I can say that...well...at least its better than Sundaze.. but that's about it

I like this song a bit. One of my favorites off the album. Wish they would just go ahead and release Confession though, that song is incredible

So on a scale of 1 to 10 on the Bro scale where does this fall? I need to know because as you know unprepared ears may bleed or fall off.

Music: 5.5 Lyrics: 7.5 Production: 9.5 Overall: 7.5 You put the production that high? Seriously? I can't STAND Joey Moi's production and I will never understand what the hell he does to electric guitars that makes them sound like nails on a chalkboard. To me, this song says nothing new, adds nothing worthwhile to FGL's already fairly dismal offerings, and is pretty much same-ole same-ole as far as their music goes. I'd grade this song a C-. And I will probably never listen to it again.

I was under the assumption that a 10 was the most bro, as in "broooo take a look at that hottie [jumps off tailgate], she's a 10 fer sureee *highfive* *fist bump* *shoulder bump*" This song is virtually unmemorable for me, aside from the catchy melody in the chorus which seems to be the ONLY thing going for every song on this album. I guess that's just how things go when anything goes.

I am not a fan of this. And this is coming from someone who loved their first album. I just haven't liked their last two singles. On their first album, while the songs were still about drinking and partying, the lyrics seemed much more heartfelt ("Yeah I see it clearer in the rearview mirror, Than I ever did lookin' out over the hood). These songs are just straight up drinking and I just can't get behind them when you have no real substance other than that. And yes, I will fight to the death than their first album had real substance.

Honestly, the story and point of the song isn't much different than "Lonely Tonight" by Blake Shelton. Sure the lyrics lean a little but more bro, but at heart this is really similar to lots of songs that are getting praise on Pulse.

Can't speak for everyone, but the reason I like "Lonely Tonight" better than this song is vocal performance, vocal arrangement, production and instrumentation.

That's completely understandable, and I figured those things would be cited as reasons why some don't like this song. I'm just saying that the lyrics aren't too far off from some popular songs that aren't considered bro.

This album is such a disappointment. I had to listen to the song again to remember which one it was. Most of the songs sound pretty similar to me, and all are pretty bland and forgettable. This will probably be another big radio hit, but forgotten about pretty quickly afterwards.

I do Kinda agree with everyone that this album is a ditto of the first but they are a fun duo. At least we have no sophmore jinc here where most artists do have. As long as they sell and make money the tempo and style of music will stick around. Lets face it. Most artists get in a fix on style--- Look at the King of Country Music (George Strait)--his style does not get old.

I was bored one night and decided to preview the album... all the songs blended together for me and I didn't enjoy a single thing I heard. I'm sure that this will be all over the radio and that I'll be changing the station as usual.
