Artist: John King Single: "On Your Lips" Label: Black River Entertainment Add Date: March 2nd, 2015 Source: Country Aircheck (issue 2/9/15)
I did a RateTheMusic survey back in November and I was hoping against hope it wasn't this one. Not because I don't believe it isn't a radio-friendly song, cause it is, but it was my least favorite one I listened to. He performed this when I saw him a year ago too. Black River is fully invested in him so I'm interested to see how far they will take this one.

Acoustic performance. John tells why he wrote the song as well.

Wow... this one's actually pretty good! I remember really disliking "Tonight Tonight" but this one I could get behind. I prefer the acoustic, but I'm not sure how I feel about his voice yet...he's very good, but I'm not sure I like his tone. The chord progression of this reminds me a bit of "Trying To Find Atlantis" by Jamie O'Neal.

I don't think this one will be doing much of anything. 8 weeks out and "On Your Lips" has yet to crack the top 50 on MB. In fact, I'm pretty sure this hasn't even cracked the top 55 yet, though this week could change that. It's been so crowded lately that this is another single that's just been lost in the shuffle and with all the hype and promotion surrounding Kelsea's single, along with the soon to be launched Kellie Pickler single, this song might get left out in the cold.
