First two singles were excellent...not really feeling this one. And I LOVE Grimes.

I'm done hoping she turns into a superstar K after watching the PYNK video I'm done lying to myself I want her to succeed so badly. Perfect song, perfect video. Can't remember the last time an artist has slayed me this hard with their first three singles(probably Ceremonials... she's giving me everything I didn't know I needed). The best pop music is vibrant and every song so far has been explosive. The hooks in here and Make Me Feel are just insane. The way the song builds and pops and the production... pure bliss. She's from another universe. A bonafide superstar, I just want to thank her for gifting us all with her existence.

This is cute (both the song and video), probably my favorite of the three. It sounded sorta familiar, and then I checked that it interpolates Aerosmith's Pink, so that's why.

This chick is coming in so fucking hard? "PYNK" is a bop. And her visuals have always been on point, but this era's are just spectacular. I'm so ready for this album.

It's been a while since I've been this excited for an album release. (Rainbow, probably) All three songs are just so excellent and the visuals for each are damn near perfect!

Pynk doesn't sound like what I expected from a song with Grimes, but it's the most Janelle of the 3 songs out so far IMO. I am so hype for this album. Can't wait til the end of the month for this.

Django Jane's at 3.2m views and Make Me Feel is at 10m after a month; PYNK is already at 2.8m in 3 days.

The public being so incredibly slow with Janelle has always been one of those rather irritating things for me. She showcases artistry in spades, is an insanely good performer live, and really just gets IT. What I like so far about this era from what has been released is that it's catching on more from a public front and without any shred of her usual artistry taking a backseat either. She's 3/3 so far with the songs. I have no doubt Dirty Computer will not be a let down. Her albums are so intricate and thoughtful, this will be no different.

I saw a screening of the emotion picture last night. Some songs may not have played in full but the album sounds amazing. Nothing played that I didn't like but curious to hear the album on its own. I anticipate glowing reviews.

Take a Byte Screwed Django Jane PYNK Make Me Feel I Got the Juice I Like That Americans
This is her least musically challenging/most commercial sounding album so I think half of her fanbase is going to hate it automatically and they've already released the most radio friendly tracks ahead of the album so if none of those hit, I don't see there being much to float the album. That said, I like it; I think it's fun and funky with substance still to be found in the lyrics (a few cheesy lines here and there) and concept. I'd rank it behind Electric Lady and ahead of The ArchAndroid although each one is distinct and really incomparable to the others based on their own merits.

On my first couple of listens, I'm definitely digging it. I love the SOUND of this album, it's just a groovy, fun listen for the most part. Not sure if some of these songs really go beyond that for me yet, I'll have to give it a few more spins. She's always been whacky lyrically, so get on board, this is no different (I died at the pussycataracts line). The album loses steam in the last third though. "Don't Judge Me" is a nice vibe track, but it's lacking and "So Afraid" is the one track that just out and out doesn't work for me. But everything else is solid. My highlights so far:
Crazy. Classic. Life Take A Byte Screwed Pynk Make Me Feel I Got The Juice I Like That

Watching the Dirty Computer film on TV now. It's amazing. The music and visuals are 100% on POINT this era!

So annoying that BET doesn't have an app for live streaming and MTV (which doesn't either) is not showing it til 8 AM, per the schedule. Hopefully I can find it online tomorrow. I waited til midnight for nothing...sigh.

After listening to Post Malone drone on for over an hour, this sounds even more refreshing. I'm here for the whole thing now outside of "So Afraid" (which isn't horrible, it just doesn't go anywhere).
Also, that RS interview is great, amazing to see her on the cover.

This album is a masterpiece. My least favorite is either "Don't Judge Me" or "So Afraid", and even those are still very good.
"Screwed" would make a great choice for the next pop/Hot AC single and "I Got The Juice" for urban/rhythmic.
